I just want to leave this here: Just because a woman is laughing doesn't mean she is interested or comfortable. Many laugh out of nervous reaction, or other reasons. So do not take that as a sign she wants to talk with you.
I read that there's a theory that women laugh in these cases as an attempt to lighten up a scary or uncomfortable situation. It's learnt behaviour that helps with survival.
The problem with “pick up artists” is the fact that even if the women rejects the dude or just doesn’t seem interested they just keep harassing them to the point that the women feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Makes me so mad like dude she’s just not into you. 😩
If a guy is actually confident he will respect that the girl isn't interested and respond with "ok have a great day" and move on. When you keep trying to "change their mind" it just feels if desperation and that's what make it so cringey
Some people in the comments don’t understand that women will smile and laugh with these men (who are almost always standing over them or cornering them) purely to be polite and not upset the potentially dangerous stranger that just approached them. They are, in reality, very uncomfortable and don’t have a way to exit the interaction so they have to play nice. Keep in mind that when women are hit on by strangers, some of those strangers follow you or get aggressive when you don’t act the way they want you to - something as simple as “please leave me alone” can trigger defensive reactions in men who think they’re entitled to women’s attention. This is something every woman has dealt with, as well as young girls hit on by older men who don’t know how to protect themselves in those situations.
This one time my friends and i was dancing to this festival and this dude came and was asking me questions. at first it was fine but he kept asking when i wanted to dance with my friends he started asking where i live, how old am i and mind u, he looks 40 and i was 16. i kept looking back at people trying to ask for help without asking for help and one of the guys got the signal and grabbed his shoulders and started talking to him. I took the chance to leave and stayed with my other friend. I do not know how to turn down those as politely as possible without them acting out.
Facts. A man will beat you or kill you if you slight their ego. You never know who you are dealing with until it's too late. Even the quiet ones that appear to be sweet. They'll be the ones that will be passive-aggressive and come out of no where. It's frightening especially if you're under age.
This! Like you can obviously hear how the laugh is awkward laugh. I've had old men making stupid jokes to me to impress me and i've been like "Haha..." even tho the joke was very creepy and gross.
These videos are EXCELLENT examples of what an uncomfortable but friendly woman looks and sounds like. A big give away is the short curt answers like she clearly doesn't want to talk to you and you're not starting a conversation if all she does is give one word answers to your constant questions
I never understood why pick up artist act like women are some other species. They act like they are explorers on National Geographic describing animals.
“Im not used to people being mean to me” You mean you’re not used to people politely putting up boundaries? Probs to those women for standing their ground!
Yes, either on purpose or just because they’re so socially unaware. Some are starting from before the basics as an adult, they’re reciting lines but don’t have the tools to read the person they’re reciting to. How do you help that person?
@Lalogue The guy in that video was showing how it shouldn't be done. But this was taken out of context. Do you know the name of that guy? He has made a response video about pewdiepie's reaction.

This isn't cringe, it's straight up terrifying, never go up to a girl, essentially corner her and start asking where she's going, super duper red flag.

The weirdest part of this is the fact that they still upload their worst failed attempts. I suspect they are aware that cringe videos get a lot of clicks...

@@TheCuriousConservative is it the notebook that’s like that? Where the guy says he’s going to let go of the carousel if she doesn’t go on a date with him?

I’ve had a few guys approach me and I am scared because I’m small and weak and if a man just so happened to have intent to kidnap or harm me he easily could, I fear men when I walk at night and that is completely valid, and you need to understand that men are predatory especially recently.
It's a seminar, it's kinda her job to call him out and help him. If people didn't actually realise. She volunteered to help men like him socialise, but it's kinda sad to see that this video didn't blur his face as PewDiePie teased him basically.
Third guy literally just MET these girls, got denied, then proceeded to manipulate them. "I'm depressed now." "I actually just worked up the courage to approach girls." "Just tell me I'm ugly and a horrible person" then LAUGHS???
He should have used comfortability tactics first before moving forward into other things because everything he does will not work if they are not comfortable. If they don't get comfortable just leave, cause you are wasting your time and there are lot of girls who will find it easier to create that comfortability with.
This is just more painful knowing that my girlfriend has to deal with men like these every time she goes out. Even if her entire body is covered, she gets still gets catcalled like this and I'm like 😐. It also sucks because it makes her more traumatized of going outside and making friends because it's usually either that they're nice or just being nice to score, which is sadly the most likely answer.

Those three girls were super duper polite. They shouldn’t have to be forced into this situation. I wanna see a clip of some girl just straight up yelling in the guy’s face “YOU ARE BOTHERING US YOU CREEP!”
God yes. Props to them for being that polite, but at that point I wouldn't have been polite at all. I'm sorry, but if you are being creepy and disrespectful it's my right
I think it's gonna be very hard to find those kind of video....Because the pickup guy surely don't want it to be posted but also because I think that they choose their ''prey''. All their technique is based on the fact that some woman will not clearly say no or will try for too long to be polite or nice... So they won't go for a girl who looks like she will scream at them...
What’s even worse is that fully grown men will still do this, even if you’re a minor. I can remember a few instances where a guy came up to me and initiated a conversation. In pretty much all those instances, I was still a minor. It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward.
This reminds me of when I was working at grocery stores when I was like 15 at checkout I would have middle aged men just make the typical blondes have more fun jokes or things like that. I WAS 15 and some of them were cops too. It made me soooo uncomfortable. I was just trying to work.

The 6 feet social distancing rule is the best and I wish it stays around as a normal polite social thing cuz its made this stuff happen less often for me
I've always had social anxiety. Lately I've been trying to improve that and trying to be more confident. The other day I approached a girl I thought was cute. I talked normally, the conversation was chill and we laughed a couple of times, I didn't try to make her feel guilty nor I tried to insult her and I respected her personal space. At the end I gave her my phone number on a piece of paper in case she wanted to talk more. It was my first time doing something like that and when I came home my heart was about to jump out of my chest. To my surprise she actually texted me the next day. So if a socially inept guy as myself can do it without resorting to these weird, creepy and disrespectful tactics, then you can do it too.
It’s actually really sweet you handed her your phone number instead of pressuring her to give you hers. I’m sure that made her feel comfortable and respected like she had a choice to text you.
I would like to point out that in usual situations like this we are usually polite and try to let them down easy, mostly in fear of their anger/frustration of being rejected too harshly. Our safety, not theirs. That’s why that kick boxer woman could be so upfront. She’s confidently whoop his ass

You don't have to feel guilty just tell them that they are ugly and that they can go and do something with their lives instead of getting rejected a million times and still trying to get attention, these people really really piss me off! 😒
Creeps are hard to deal with, but other guys know when there are creeps afoot, and a good guy will save you, then leave you alone if you ask for help. "Get away from me!" "Don't touch me!" "I don't know this man! Someone Help!" Those work really well bc I am so short. The guy doesn't want to be accused of trying to kidnap or something. If you make a stink, they will go away. And guys, if you want to know what makes you a creep and what doesn't, well, its ambiguous. Don't stand too close to a girl. Wait for her to initiate physical contact. Don't come on too strong. If she says no once, leave her alone. There are literally billions of fish in the sea. You will find your furry nerdy stupid insecure girl one day. Don't act too interested, or she will think she can do better. Casually ask her out, and if she rejects you, move on. Don't approach a group of girls, we can communicate telepathically. You will strike out.
8:40 "I'm not used to people not being nice to me." this is the epitome of the problem with these "pickups". a lot of these girls, like the one that got kissed against her will (absolutely sexual harassment, you can visibly see she's not interested), are very "docile" and "indifferent", although body-language-wise, and by how little they engage or initiate conversation, its *painfully obvious* they want them to leave right the fuck now. them being "submissive" is not them being nice to you, allowing you, or wanting to satisfy your desires in any way. girls are so often caught off guard, cause we are taught our whole lives to be "a lady". to be sweet, quiet, not yell, not make a scene, not run. don't be wild and energetic and strong-looking, or else we're manly, or bitchy or bossy, and its off-putting and unbecoming. so its very hard for girls who subscribe to that mindset they were taught to pull out of it in situations like these. its not cause we want it or agree to it, cause any person with half a mind can see how uncomfortable these girls are. its so rapey... its like how a lot of girls completely freeze when being sexually harassed instead of fighting and screaming. and then people say its their fault. and now for once, these girls are actually taking none of his shit, when HE is being the rude one obviously, and they are confident enough to be more fierce about wanting him to leave, and he DARES to say they're "not nice" for it??????????? that's how it is. the first girls that turn a man down without reservation and they're apparently bad people for not entertaining his lifelong sexual frustration... its unreal. we're mean if we don't please any stranger, bitches for turning you down or friendzoning a "NIcE gUy". we're bossy for acting like men act as second nature and unwomanly for speaking up. fuck that. FUCK THAT ladies. yell and scream and be wild and feisty and as fierce as you want. fuck being "womanly" by staying quiet and pretty, leave that to the dolls on the shelf
Listen: if a guy won’t leave you alone, don’t spare his feelings. Unless there is some immediate danger, just walk away and don’t humor them. And if he tries to kiss you, slap him in the face, or kick in the groin.
the issue tho is that it's very common for men who are persistent to get angry when you say no or aren't "nice enough" to them , and then that PUTS you in a dangerous situation. it's happened way to many times to me , but not with someone trying to "pick me up," typically when we get catcalled if we don't respond politely or positively we get followed and yelled at. it sucks.
As a straight female who has been alive for almost 30 years I’ve lived through these situations thousands of times and it never gets less painful for us either 😭
Im a guy and whenver im outside the club smoking i always cringe out seeing these pick up artist going around flirting girl to girl it just so embarrassing lol

@Jeff Aye I think you misunderstand, he is a pickup artist and he has moves you can't even fathom, he will get your girl before you even meet her, an absolute M E N A C E
I think this is the thing some guys don't understand. It's genuinely terrifying when a man approaches me in public bc I don't know wether he's a decent human being or not. Idk what he's gonna do to me and it's haunting
When this happens I would immediately just escalate to, so do I need to call the police and report harassment? I understand being scared. .I've had things like this happen to me also. But try to remember you aren't powerless. Always carry pepper spray too.
Actually, i think its the opposite. These guys egos cant take being rejected. So when they are, they become defensive and cruel/or manipulative (depending on their character) out of spite.
Exactly! When a guy like this approached me and my girl friend I literally told him that I'm sorry and I get that it feels shitty to be rejected but it's nothing personal we just wanna be alone and then he proceeded to explain to us why he's not actually being rejected.
I feel like they were probably very insecure and shy at first, then they found out about some pick up artist, get inspired, lost all the shame and common sense and now they just have to protect their fragile ego, bc they want to belive so bad that they are not insecure anymore .... I mean, if they are acting like this with girls they are meeting for the first time, it would be really pain in the ass have them as boyfriends
This is so scary. It's such an uncomfortable position to be in because you never know how some of these guys are going to react to rejection and it can literally become life or death.
I have two experiences where I had to tell a guy to leave me alone and I've been lucky that they understood. In both times I was walking home from a bar. The first one was two guys escorting without asking me and my friend to my home. I didn't want them to see where I live so I just strictly told them to go to another direction. Other time I was alone and this guy comes asking things and walking with me. I said I want to be alone now. I'm glad I've been brave enough but I don't judge anyone who isn't. I'm just hoping that everyone can stop feeling guilty about keeping your own boundaries.
Honestly when someone approaches me like this and does not take any hints I'm giving or stays around even when I straight up tell them "I'm not interested" I shut down and go into survival mode; it honestly ruins my day. If you're forcing the conversation after all of that it makes me think "what else will be forced?". These girls who are laughing aren't interested; they're nervous. If we say "no" or "not interested" you need to stop and probably leave.
Same... I remember once a guy came up to me at night time when I was a teen, trying to bring me to a club with him. I said no but he insisted and then laughed at me for almost running away from him. And that's just one of the many stories I have with men on the streets and other places. I remember every encounter and those repeated occurrences pushed me to learn boxing to gain confidence. I do love boxing but I wish I didn't start it for this reason. My point : please leave us alone as soon as we say we're not interested. "Playing hard to get" is not a thing on the streets.
@@bamangica6431 I've also been wanting to go to boxing or self defense classes for the same reasons. I feel so bad for these women and it sucks how often this happens.

8:40 "I'm not used to people not being nice to me."
this is the epitome of the problem with these "pickups". a lot of these girls, like the one that got kissed against her will (absolutely sexual harassment, you can visibly see she's not interested), are very "docile" and "indifferent", although body-language-wise, and by how little they engage or initiate conversation, its *painfully obvious* they want them to leave right the fuck now. them being "submissive" is not them being nice to you, allowing you, or wanting to satisfy your desires in any way.
girls are so often caught off guard, cause we are taught our whole lives to be "a lady". to be sweet, quiet, not yell, not make a scene, not run. don't be wild and energetic and strong-looking, or else we're manly, or bitchy or bossy, and its off-putting and unbecoming. so its very hard for girls who subscribe to that mindset they were taught to pull out of it in situations like these. its not cause we want it or agree to it, cause any person with half a mind can see how uncomfortable these girls are. its so rapey... its like how a lot of girls completely freeze when being sexually harassed instead of fighting and screaming. and then people say its their fault.
and now for once, these girls are actually taking none of his shit, when HE is being the rude one obviously, and they are confident enough to be more fierce about wanting him to leave, and he DARES to say they're "not nice" for it??????????? that's how it is. the first girls that turn a man down without reservation and they're apparently bad people for not entertaining his lifelong sexual frustration... its unreal. we're mean if we don't please any stranger, bitches for turning you down or friendzoning a "NIcE gUy". we're bossy for acting like men act as second nature and unwomanly for speaking up. fuck that. FUCK THAT ladies. yell and scream and be wild and feisty and as fierce as you want. fuck being "womanly" by staying quiet and pretty, leave that to the dolls on the shelf
dismiss what you've been thought then, you lack tumblr pill, tumblr pill is the best copium in the world
Listen: if a guy won’t leave you alone, don’t spare his feelings. Unless there is some immediate danger, just walk away and don’t humor them. And if he tries to kiss you, slap him in the face, or kick in the groin.
roundhouse kick them when they say howdy
the issue tho is that it's very common for men who are persistent to get angry when you say no or aren't "nice enough" to them , and then that PUTS you in a dangerous situation. it's happened way to many times to me , but not with someone trying to "pick me up," typically when we get catcalled if we don't respond politely or positively we get followed and yelled at. it sucks.

Honestly I felt so anxious watching them. Gosh if I am alone in public and a random guy approaches me asking weird questions, I would be so scared 😢
Same... I remember once a guy came up to me at night time when I was a teen, trying to bring me to a club with him. I said no but he insisted and then laughed at me for almost running away from him.
