    Englishman here. My beautiful and lovely wife, Mariá, is Italian. She is always so nurturing, passionate about dancing, which has inspired our daughter 😊 she is modest, and respectable. Such a kind person, and greatest cook. I love her, I am honoured to be her husband, and I will always honour and spoil her

    I'm an italian girl
    Living abroad allowed me to know much more about myself, as an italian, and about my country.
    Italian girls are passionate, with a strong character, classy, well dressed, they like to do sports or activities to maintain their self healthy and to feel good), energetic, with a lot of sense of humour, they love parties and go out to have fun.
    Emancipated, particularly in north italy (in south too, in these last years, but not in the same level), women dedicate themselves to carrier, jobs and all things that allow to grow up culturally. Italians women love knowledge they fall in love for that!
    They are also possessive, get hungry easily and jealous.
    I see and I feel differences between with women in other countries and italian. For what I already saw Spanish and Greek women have the same character of Italians.

    In Milan, a motorcycle sped past, then suddenly stopped and backed up into a parking spot. I was so impressed with the movement, I kept watching. The women got off the motorcycle and removed her helmet. Her long brown hair went cascading down her back. i thought that a movie was being filmed with her as the star. "What are Italian women like?"
    -[Long-winded speech about how women are different, special, beautiful, smart, etc.]
    You can tell everyone was walking on eggshells when giving their answers about women stereotypes.

      Seems like women are running away from being women. They're experiencing all the great things men have been experiencing. Workplace stress, heart disease, increase cancer rates. Was it really worth not wanting to be a mother and a home maker? Waiting too late to start families has been a disaster for women. You see them adopting pets and treating them like children they never had.

    • @tvbuu

      @@Bredaxe That's exactly what I was saying. It's like the westernized mindset is expanding beyond reach and women of all places are not actually satisfied with taking up that role although they would claim not being able to claim the corporate ladder has contributed to their victimization. The lady in the video said men look at women as if they have a handicap or something which is sad to hear because that's not true. More and more now because of the crap going on today you see this mindset where it seems like women are not comfortable being completely feminine , then not being happy with the outcome of chasing careers then trying to have kids too late.

    That's true what the woman in red said: Italian women are (generally) very precise and perfectionist, they pay close attention to the appearance and cleanliness both of their own and of the home.
    Italian mothers are very caring towards their children, sometimes too much: we like to say that they are like "brooding hens" ("chiocce", in Italian), which means, according to the definition given by the dictionary itself, that they have a "jealous and exclusive sense of motherhood".
    I would say that we are passionate as Italians in general often are. And we certainly know how to dress.

    • @floatingsara
      @floatingsara 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you about perfectionism. As to motherhood, I noticed I got along much better with immigrant mothers from Slavic countries , than with Italian mothers. Italian mothers tend to be over-protective and they are very ambivalent when their child do something wrong. They are either lenient or they humiliate the child. Slavic mothers scold their children, but they also console them at the same time.

    The girl with the red jacket said it best; and eloquently. I was born in Calabria but immigrsted as a very young child---Sicilian women and the Calabresi were 'oppressed' by the men in their lives---by their fathers, their brothers, uncles and then passed over to their husbands. From what I know through my mother and grandmothers, not all men had the same temperament, however, they were certainly the BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU syndrome in their lives. It's almost impossible to compare today's Italian woman to that of yesteryear. We are liberated!! And smart!!!! And gorgeous!!!! And FUN!!
    Nonetheless, their physical and inner beauty is timeless. We Italian women are passionate about life. We love to the fullest, we are passionate and compassionate. We appreciate the unique beauty in every living thing. We love a chic wardrobe----well-made footwear. Oh, and food!!
    The only Italian-American men who act as ogres are the product of immigrants of one hundred years ago where the fathers brought their authoritarian nuances with them. Thus, the sons copied their fathers. There are a few of them around.

    As a frequent traveler to Italy, I can say that if you think women are beautiful, sexy and wonderfully affectionate, you're underestimating
    IMHO Italian women are tactile and speak affectionately. It's knee-weakening when you hear them speaking in words of affection, love and kindness. Every time I hear them speak affectionately to me or others, my heart melts. But I think their most attractive attribute is their sense of humor. Love to laugh. Constantly. They joke about everything, and sex is right up at the top of that list
    They talk A LOT. This is not detrimental. They're emotional and expressive. I've never gotten sick of hearing Italian women speaking. It's poetry

    I agree about perfectionism, alas ! As to motherhood, when I had my daughter I noticed I got along much better with immigrant mothers from Slavic countries , than with Italian mothers. Italian mothers tend to be over-protective and they are very ambivalent when their children do something wrong. They are either lenient or they humiliate the child.
    Slavic mothers scold their children, but they also console them at the same time.
    This is why I really preferred hanging around with Ukraine or Romanian mothers than with Italian mothers.

    • @anta3612
      @anta3612 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      not to mention that Italian mothers seem to think they are the only women in the world that know anything about mothering. They deem themselves "the best mothers in the world" and look down on mothers from other nationalities. Perhaps not all of them have this attitude but I've heard and read enough to believe that it's a common notion. I've even heard them declare that they love their children more ("spoil" would be more accurate). I'm half Italian raised in Italy by an English mother ... the culture divide between my mother and Italian mothers led to her feeling quite isolated. This was before the presence of immigrants became widespread. Interestingly my Italian friends used to envy me having a foreign mother as Italian mothers can be quite controlling and smothering (though they would call it "affection"). Also Italian women are very competitive with other women and this extends to mothers as well … it's like they always have something to prove. Exhausting and demoralising to be around. No wonder you prefer to be around immigrant mothers.

    • @floatingsara
      @floatingsara 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anta3612 I reconnect with confusing affection and ... stalking ;-)
      It's no wonder for me that your friends envied you for having a mother from Northern Europe.
      Also here there is ambivalence: there is actually a cliche of women of Northern Europe not being "good" mothers (and in general people of Northern Europe not being "good" parents).
      With my parents we travelled a lot in Northern Europe meeting people and we saw the relationship is pretty the same, but I remember my parents telling this to our friends and acquaintances, meaning they had to contradict a stereotype.
      But even if as a son/daughter you envy the freedom of your foreign counterparts, when you become a mother / father the social pressure is very, VERY strong to repeat the same scenario. After all, who doesn't want to be a good mother / father ?

    • @anta3612
      @anta3612 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@floatingsara I agree, there is a lot of social pressure to conform in Italy. When it comes to parenting, however, I believe it's more about passing down the culture which is something we all do on a subconscious level. We repeat the same behaviour as our parents because deep down it's what feels right (or something like that) and for all of us it's our primary experience of how to connect to others. Italian women do face a lot of pressure on many levels. They are expected to be perfect and so develop a neurosis especially when it comes to motherhood. Also in Italy "mamma" isn't just a person she's an institution. Just the same, I can't stand the stereotypes and judgemental attitude Italian women have towards mothers from other cultures just because they express their love for their children differently.

    • @anta3612
      @anta3612 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@floatingsara Also my Italian friends find it unfathomable that my adult siblings and I lead independent lives. We live in different towns and don't call our mother everyday. Nor does she call us at all hours of the day and night to ask us how we've managed every minute of our day. Nor does she interfere in our relationships or child rearing. However, we were there for her when she needed us (sadly she passed away a few months ago) and she was there for us when we needed her. Italians stay dependent on their mothers for far longer than what is considered emotionally healthy. Even Italian psychologists report this to no avail since, as it's part of the culture, most seem to fail to see this as the case (myopia).

      Ecco che questi video dal punto di vista contenutistico.....non servono proprio a nulla.

      @Dioioego I agree with your points because we really did face those problems but those were 10 years ago. All the extremist attacks, those were hard times for us. But since then our Military and Government have dealt with the extremists and we by the Grace of God don't have those problems. About honor killings those are on the decline too but yes it hurts to admit we still have some oldies who apparantly don't understand basics. We are working on those too trust me. Rome wasn't built in a day nor did Europe became what it is now in a year. We are a developing nation, of course we face tough challenges. Give us some time, we are trying, it'll get better God Willing.

    • @salarayyubzai1282

      @Dioioego And why am I learning European languages? Well I grew up speaking 4 languages and it's one of my hobbies to learn new ones. Like you may like travelling, I love to learn new languages and all languages are beautiful. That's why.

    • @salarayyubzai1282
      @salarayyubzai1282 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dioioego Otra cosa más, our standard of living has improved way more than what it was even in 2000s. If you'll be kind enough, come pay us a visit. See for yourself. It's not like what they say you know.

    • @salarayyubzai1282
      @salarayyubzai1282 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dioioego Thank you so much. This means a lot. ❤️
      The Peshawar Massacre was a national tragedy. My heart still breaks when it pops up in my mind; how they ruthlessly massacred our kids and set the School Head on fire because the Head was a woman! We still have bigos who look down upon women! But our womenfolk are courageous and strong. They fight back, trust me. We will not bow down to these devils, these extremists and these who commit honor killings or those who disrespect women in general. Sooner or later we will overcome them by the Grace of God.
      And yes, whatever is happening in ME is very unfortunate and maybe some European govns may have supported these but I know well that Europeans don't have anything to do with these. You, us we are just unfortunate because we didn't have better ppl to represent us but those days will change. These endless wars and hatred will perish soon one day. Good will win over evil, that's my belief.

      There is a mistake in the translation, she didn't say she's waiting for someone to liberate her, she said she's willing to prove the previous model wrong. It's an Italian saying, "avere voglia di riscatto". Actually, there are a few mistakes in the translation.
