In Indonesia, there’s a law that the married couple need to have one faith. If they are of the same faith, no problem. But, if for example, the woman is Christian and the man is Muslim, either the woman needs to convert to Islam or the man converts to Christianity or vice versa. So, I think she converted to Hinduism before the marriage.

If nonmuslim wanted to married to muslim woman or man they have to convert into Islam first and must practice Muslim rules and pray 5 time a day in Islamic rules.
