That brings back a lot of great memories! Mine was a gold 77 with wire hub caps and a white top. 70k miles and it was my first car. I will always love that car! This blue is amazing! I wish I had my gold one still.
my grandmother had one of these omg they are super rare only 2 model years. she bought hers in 1979 and sold it in 2005. hers was red with a white top also had the 403.
Very nice! I have a "78 Riv since aug 2013, pewter grey with red velour, 403 6.6l V8 (from Olds), 51000 miles, many options, it was exported from Iowa to the netherlands in 2010, I am the 3th owner.
This Buick Riviera rode atop the B-chassis for just two years: 1977 and 1978, before using the FWD E-chassis from 1979-1985 with its stablemates the Cadillac Eldorado and the Oldsmobile Toronado.
The E-Class was a great platform, one of the few times where a car maker downsized a luxury vehicle and made it much better. GM allowing each division freedom to do what they wanted with the E-platform made it work. The 77-78 Riviera though, just doesn't work for me.
This car looks a world of a lot better than the '90s & 2000s+ model vehicles surrounding it. Yep... Older cars look much better than nowadays generic looking crap.
Nice car , I think that a 2 inch white wall tire is more appropriate for that car . . . They are personal luxury cars like the eldorado, those tires are more fitting for sport cars.
Is this car for sale or are you just showing a police comment back I used to have a 1980 the 1st year they came out with the front wheel drive and I'm still h*** out of a Riviera These cars drive nice please call me a back in let me know if it sold if you still have it or if you want a salad
04/19/2023, I have this model year, same color, outside & in, white vinyl top, very rough interior, exterior & Tired motor & Transmission. sitting in my garage since 06', Desperately needs a new owner.

WOW If it only had wire wheels a white top and a 350, I might confuse it with the one I had.

Nice car, but, this is a white wall tires car.
Buick goofed here. The 76 was nicer and the Toronado beat the hell out of the Riv here onward.
