GREAT REACTION, THANK YOU! I'm sure you can appreciate this when I say: The very reason I have so much RESPECT for Freddie is because of his iron will. He NEVER let things get in his way, like the physical issues he was starting to have by this time... During this 1986 tour, he was having chronic fatigue and pain due to the onset of the illness he hadn't yet been officially diagnosed for. He kept it a secret; although backstage at one show, he told his bandmates that he was "wracked with pain". There was also the time when he was recovering from a bad knee injury: He had had a full-length leg cast for several months, had just had the cast removed/they were back on tour. During one show, his knee gave out/he fell down the stairs from the upper level of the giant stage and had to be carried off... Then, instead of going straight to the hospital, he insisted that they carry him BACK onstage, where he sat at his piano bench (In a LOT of pain) to finish the concert! Freddie's determination and positivity are why he still has such a devoted following...
Great reaction there were around 72,000 people & they did 2 nights so around 140,000-150,000 people they could have sold more tickets for more nights at Wembley but it wasn’t available so they they put on another show a couple of weeks later at Knebworth were 150,000-200,000 people attended this was their last ever concert with Freddie x
Queen is eternal, it is forever and forever, their music is timeless, it is the type of rock music that you are passionate about and love; The first time I heard them I thought those people sing beautifully and I don't know if a person really does it and those people were Queen, a rock band that is immortal and will change your life in one way or another, thank you Queen.
It’s pure joy watching Freddie get into this song with all the Freddie moves! This Queen mega hit was written by John Deacon!! I’ve often wondered what John was thinking when he watched Freddie sing & move to his songs. Wow! Deaky had the best seat in the house right next to Freddie & his piano!! AMAZING 😁
I love this band and I love Freddie Mercury! I listen to them every single day. I was lucky to grow up with Queen, I was 19 when this concert happened. Being from Oklahoma and surrounded by Country Music, I cannot say that riding in my car with my music choices were always the most popular, in fact they were anything but popular because I had Michael Jackson, Prince, Queen, Boston, Van Halen, AC/DC, you get it. But Queen was my favorite and played the vast majority of the time. I was at Walmart today and Time Magazine has a Freddie Mercury edition out, 30 years since his death. And yes, I bought it. Cannot get enough. 💗
I was at Wembley, way in the front, and directly opposite Freddie when he gave the "What the f*ck?!" face as Roger counted the song in early. But it's only on the video that you get to see Roger's nod & grin in response to Freddie's "You caught me out!"
Great reaction! You should check out some of Queen's early performances as well, they different but also very good, check out Liar live at the Rainbow 1974.
Nice reaction but you shut it off too soon. He was about to defend the band and say something very touching. And what turned out to be what actually happened.
