As a licensed NYC Tour Guide and native New Yorker, you are both funny and informative. As a former NYS Court Officer, now a Court Clerk, I just regret not seeing you as a lawyer in front of a Judge and Jury! Your High School picture probably would have inspired Andy Warhol's shooter to aim her gun at you! (Just Kidding!) If I ever bump into you at my favorite Coal Oven Pizza Joint on West Houston and Thompson (no names mentioned), I'll buy you a drink: The Mayor Koch Special (Water, no Ice)! All the Best to you and Eric!
The Memorial for John was held, the Sunday following His Murder. STRANGE FACT- Of course, "IMAGINE" was played. But, when It was. Within a couple of seconds, It started to Snow .... BIG Goose Feather Flakes ... And when the Song stopped, so did the Snow !
My cousin has been working at the Dakota since the 70’s. He’s the doorman. Knew John and knows Yoko. She gives him a huge bonus for Christmas and he said when John Lennon passed- the whole staff was in utter shock. They didn’t know what to do.
Tom, I truly enjoy your video tours of our great city they are very fulfilling. I do believe that your work with these videos of NYC are Priceless.I desire the best and much success for you always, "hermano latino Americano," orgullo nuestro.
Love your shows Tom. You should do one of the South Bronx such as Yankee stadium, 149 street grand concourse Bronx zoo and botanical garden as an example
Awesome and so Unique !!! You & Eric are the Kings of tours!!! Your sense of humour is AbFab !!! I used to live a few blocks away from the Chelsea hotel back in the 90s some amazing and scary experiences in there !!! Thank you for these Fab tours please don't ever stop !!! And we all concur u deserve to be on SNL !!!🌜🗽🌃🗽🌛
Great video Tom, always informative and funny. You are a great story teller and I dig your sense of humor. My favorite part is the trash angel. Keep it up!
One of your best videos Tom, really interesting and educational. Eric's camerawork and your editing is spot on, not sure I'd sit down and snow angel on top of rubbish, you're a braver man than I.
FYI, Tom. Lennon was 40 when he was killed, not 42. I also attended that December 14, 1980 celebration of his life. It was moving beyond words. It is so strange to stand amongst 100,000 and be able to hear a pin drop.
Wow..I can only imagine how that heavy that silence felt, so thick with emotions. He made such an impact on so many people that 2this day on most weekends there are still musicians who kinda like show up in shifts to sing his songs at Strawberry Fields. I think after Times Square its one of the most photographed places in Nyc. So sad.
I love REM, I recently introduced my favourite wife to their song ‘Leaving New York’, in anticipation of our planned trip to get over there next year. From this side of the pond here in England (Brexitland 🤭🇪🇺), hoping to see you then. 🤗👍🏻😉
Hi Tom great video (other than the singing!) Re the John Lennon murder the rumour I heard was that the second 'target' was David Bowie who was appearing in the Elephant Man at the Booth theatre at the time. I believe John and Yoko had tickets to see him on the 10th, as did Chapman. Bowie never appeared on stage in this format again as he was so shocked by his friends murder although, of course, he did continue playing gigs in arena type venues.
Tom, this video was siiiiiick (as the kids say) 😎 I knew about Nancy Spungen and Sid Vicious, but hadn't heard the Calvin Klein story. Lol @ your gag about him as a workaholic father 😅And now I know why the REM song had that bizarre name! BTW, Lennon was 40 when he died. But I quibble 🤓 Cheers from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Tom you've got the best and most fun with your humour, of all nyc home travel guide. It can be endless material for your style, don't change any of. Thanks. Watching.
These videos are so relaxing and informative even if they're not 100% biographically correct. I didn't know that word existed. I'm in recovery and anything that distracts me from going out and owning the lamp shade factory helps tremendously. Thanx Tom
I have to correct you.. John Lennon was 40yrs old. He turned 40 October 9th born in 1940. That was one of those times in history that you remember exactly what you were doing and where you were. Strawberry Fields is a wonderful place to visit. I did learn alot. The only thongs I had knowledge of was Sid Vicious and John Lennon. I believe Andy Warhol was most famous for his artwork and being a socialite. But he did hangout with the most famous rock stars who bought his artwork worth alot of money now. His work is extremely recognizable. Another great tour..Thank you🌟
Your videos are very informative and humorous. Thanks for all your hard work. I did not know the details of Lennon's murder so thanks for that. Please have a wonderful holiday and eat lots!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at the University of Michigan in 1987 and Gerald R. Ford (Michigan alumnus) and Dan Rather were coming out of the University of Michigan Art Museum which was holding a 200th anniversary of the US Constitution and I shook President Ford's hand and another guy yelled at Dan Rather "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" and Dan had a big chuckle as did Gerry Ford
Dude love all your videos, keep it up! But at 12:03 - that's not an image of William Tager, that's Donald Barthelme, the fiction writer, who some believe is the source of the Kenneth ref in "What's the frequency, Kenneth?
Ok, a couple of things; 1) Great freaking video, as a Pop Culture Junkie I thank you for the great facts! 2) I´ve believed for a long time that "Songs for Drella" record by Lou Reed and John Cale is the greatest source to know Andy W. 3) Great Calvin Klein burn and joke overall 4) I think you have Sen Mr. Bernie Sanders himself on tape, right? Min 11:55
When he started the story about brokaw the line “what’s the frequency Kenneth?” Popped into my head. Lol. I already knew the story so i knew that’s where he was going with that.
I always enjoy your informative and entertaining videos. You didn't mention the murder/suicide at the Osborne Apartments in 1978 when Gig Young shot and killed his wife and then himself. And what about the 1976 murder of interior designer Michael Greer at his Park Avenue apartment?
I thought that ‘what’s the frequency Kenneth’ came from when Rather was doing a foreign broadcast. The he was trying to dial in the audio with the audio technician in the headset.
Like the rest of the commenter's I enjoy your tours and hilarious persona. Since you brought up Andy Wharhol his famous muse Edie Sedgwick , lived at the Chelsea and set fire to her room. Not really a crime except she accidentally set fires frequently while smoking and being under the influence. Supposedly had an affair with Bob Dylan whilst they both lived at the Chelsea. Apparently the staff was happy when she left. So beautiful was she and tragically she died at 28 of an over dose. A family lineage dating back to the 17th century in this country with money and madness that ultimately doomed the iconic 60's beauty.
I just learn that she is a descendant of Robert Gould Shaw ( he was played by Mathew Broderick in the movie Glory ) her linage is very interesting and full of prominent people, including a founding father. It’s very sad that she died that way.
She left Radcliffe college in Cambridge, Mass to go the New Your to " find herself ". Edie found Andy Warhol instead, and that began her descent into drugs and misery. The Sedgwicks were one of those " old money " prominent New England families.
Andy Warhol was actually a really good, quite visionary painter and a brazen conceptual artist... some of his early stuff is pioneering in its utter confidence in new, sexual and fresh observances of commonplace and even anatomical objects. His movies helped bring in a new awareness of art/existence itself.
All right so you did mention Delmonico's I'm not sure if you mentioned Delmonico's in this video but you've never pointed it out and I know the history of this restaurant goes way back ❤❤ I'm going to have to research it ❤❤unless you beat me to it
I think it's in the Brooklyn Heights video, but I could be wrong. (The older B Heights video, not the livestream episode. Although for that matter, it might be in the livestream episode as well.)
The New Camera Quality is just *chef's kiss*
❤❤ the bee's knees
As someone who along with my Posse adored NYC back in the 70s and 80s, this was extra enjoyable. And you were hysterical and adorable.
I so loved NYC back then too!
Indeed! :)
NYC back in the day was great

Love your shows Tom. You should do one of the South Bronx such as Yankee stadium, 149 street grand concourse Bronx zoo and botanical garden as an example
As always Tom, great content! Thanks to you and Eric!
Our NY Tour Guide hero giving is another awesome video. Sick Plug!
Loving the new types of videos! Thanks Tom.
You are just great. With your knowledge and effervescence, you are the quintessential perfect dinner guest.

That's what I remember most. Coming into work from NJ on the PATH & it was so quiet. All the papers had the same headline & no one looked up.
Wow..I can only imagine how that heavy that silence felt, so thick with emotions. I love how you tell the stories. How do youremember all this juicy info. You are my comfort blanket...is that too much🙄
Love your vids with a unique look at NY. Not your typical tourist stuff but info even native NYs don't know about !!🌷
One thing Mr. Delgado is not is boring! Also, my hat's off to Eric who does a great job!
Another great video, thanks Tom.
Fucking amazing video Tom. Every time you upload, production quality gets better and better. I love it, keep it up.
Nice video! Filled with interesting details about the crimes. Thank you!
Very cool and informative video Tom. Thanks!
Excellent video. I lived in NY 25 years. I never heard that Calvin Klein's daughter was kidnapped or that Andy Warhol was shot.
I love REM, I recently introduced my favourite wife to their song ‘Leaving New York’, in anticipation of our planned trip to get over there next year. From this side of the pond here in England (Brexitland 🤭🇪🇺), hoping to see you then. 🤗👍🏻😉

Same building where outshots of Rosemary's Baby filmed, perhaps
I never heard that but remember seeing reviews for Bowie's Elephant Man in the Times.
Great video! Don't forget to make a video about NYC Holliday Markets, I think this year they are open again
Another good one!
Of all the walking NY videos you are by far THE BEST!! THERES A Guy with glasses. He's good. But the silent walks I don't learn anything.
Love all your videos. Next time we in NYC we ant to take one of your tours
TOM! youre awesome, keep the videos up!

Great video as always, nice camera very crisp & I have changed your name to New York Tom, attorney at Law.

Really committing to the robber opening, dressing up like the homeless and everything! Great work, a true showman!

surgical corset?!! wow never knew that . love your videos
Very informative and funny too love these videos
The intro was HILARIOUS 😂
Another great video. Love your content.
The double Album that was signed that day and found by the doorhop oddly turned out to be the most expensive album ever sold.
My favorite line of Warhol’s (probably apocryphal), Q: When do you know a work is done? A: When the check clears.
Dope content man
Ok, a couple of things;

When we getting your Berlin video? Was looking forward to it
Perfect! Great job, Tom! Btw. 1:34
Thumbs down? How is that possible? Its Tom D!!! Give him a 👍
YOU ROCK!
Tom your babbling, awkward outros are great, don't ever change.
Really great shot at the end of the squirrelie! Cute. :). I think she probably wanted someone to feed her. :)
I was thinking the squirrels near me were getting quite plumb. Oh wait I think bushy tails mean a snowy winter! ❄️
Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍
We need a video of Tom just singing tunes about NYC
When he started the story about brokaw the line “what’s the frequency Kenneth?” Popped into my head. Lol. I already knew the story so i knew that’s where he was going with that.

There’s SO many such things that occurred in NYC there’s no way he could possibly fit more that just a few of em in a video.
Heard Mel Brooks story about trying Gig Young out for Blazing Saddles. DTs.
Tom D is the man probably my favorite TH-cam channel ever
I kind of like the idea of a lounge version of Anarchy in the U.K.
Good content 👍🏽
how do we know when you have tours going on and if we can join in?
I don't do public tours anymore, but reach out on IG if you're interested in a private tours!
Love your videos!! is it possible to do a "Saturday Night Fever" movie location video? or perhaps "The Warriors"
You are very funny! Great Channel!
I thought that ‘what’s the frequency Kenneth’ came from when Rather was doing a foreign broadcast. The he was trying to dial in the audio with the audio technician in the headset.

Kyra Sedgwick is a relation. Found out she & her hubby Kevin Bacon are distantly related also. Speaking of crimes, they were victims of Madoff.
Bob Dylan wrote Like a Rolling Stone about Edie Sedgwick - certainly one of the greatest songs of all time
@@samanthab1923 oh wow they were?! That’s too bad, I heard Michael Douglas’ ex wife Diandra I think was a victim of Madoff’s also…

I think he’s handsome in both ways! 😁
This was great.. I love when you sing .. esp REM 🎶your fun
Show us where Truman Capote lived, in Brooklyn I think, thanks.

MikeP2055 It is. Sold in 2010 for $12.5 mill. It's been returned to its 1839 glory. He lived the the basement apt. of 70 Willow for 10 years.
Lounge singer version of Sex Pistols? It’s pure gold, Delgado. Gold!
I love it when he sings to us.
The fuckin music and slide down the train stair handrail has me dying lmaooooo
I like the new transition music. Larry David would love it.
Whats the transition music you are using? Like at 14:40. It sounds so familiar.
I love you ❤️ lol you make my day
You missed Jimmy Woolworth Donohue and the razor
Too sordid
nothing but banger videos
Tom, you mentioned John Lennon in a previous video hence this is Sick-Plug -2
Love the dry humor
Andy Warhol was so big in NYC i forgot he wasn't from here until I went to his museum in Pittsburgh
