Briksdal Glacier - entering the Jostedalsbreen National Park

The mighty Briksdal Glacier is part of the Jostedalsbreen National Park. From a height of 1200 metres the wild glacier drops right down into the narrow, fertile Briksdal Valley - a sight which attracts 300,000 visitors from all over the world every year.

I've been there as a child in 2006. Looking back at the photos now is quite saddening. More than half the glacier is gone now. :(
