Jesse deserves so much more credit than he gets. His solo music is just as integral to the story of the MPLS sound as the Time's is. His talent is out there for R+B, Soul and Funk fans of the future to discover.
I get into a lot of trouble for saying this but I've always felt that Jesse's solos were a little hotter than Prince's..Not to knock Prince in any way. But if I could play like anybody I would wish I could play like Jesse. He's bluer & funkier than anybody else imo.
Have you seen and heard the solo that Prince put down at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame performance for While My Guitar Gently Weeps OR the solo on Bambi from the Undertaker video?
@@jackjohnsonjohnson8610I've been listening to both for years, Jesse's guitar playing was more gritty. Go listen to his blues inspired song I'm Just Wanting you. Prince can't play the blues that well. I've listened to him cover Hendrix Red House, and it wasn't impressive, the reason I think he stayed away from that genre of music. Jesse Missing You wasn't a blues cover, but his own. And also listen to Bare my Naked soul, and Merciful get your eardrums blown.
