I have watched very many pole lathe build videos. Yours is by far the best! You get to the business at hand, for instance, the sawing of the tenons on the poppets, without our having to watch you throughout the entirety of every cut. Very much to the point and nothing important left out. Thank you!
Hi lee thak you for those videos much appreciated, im in the process of making some laths myself for a woodland ower . Iv made one lath before from cut timber . So thanks for good insight on your builds , i like the way you being fexible on the desgins , and using material that you got around you, used or not . Great job .
Thank you so much for this series. Happy to happen upon it since I’m considering how I may design and build a foot powered lathe to use at my home. Clearly there is a best design for both bowl and spindle work separately - is it very difficult to do spindle work on a bowl lathe? Space is an issue for me but I’d like to be able to do both.

Hi there, very interesting video. I'm going to have a go building my own pole lathe, I've made 2 shave Horses in the past. PS I've subscribe.
Thanks Roy. Good luck on your build please let me know how it goes 👍
@@leeburton3209 Hi Lee, yeah managed to make my self a pole lathe, didn't turn out too bad 😀 Check it out on my channel,if you like.
But there is no pole here. Looks like a bungie lathe. What is the length of the treadle from the hinge to where the cord is attached?

It can be done. The main issue is the took rest. You’ll have to fix a block on the face of your headstock to support it. Good luck 💪
