Sharing my tips on how I memorized Hiragana 1. After memorizing every set of characters, I try to write all the characters I've learned so far Ex. After learning the characters for "na" to "no", I try to write again all the characters starting from "a". I repeated this for every set of characters I learned until I memorized everything. 2. After every set of characters, I also tried to answer the practice exercise I made so I can quickly recall the hiragana character for a particular sound Ex. I wrote randomly the english words/sounds (e.g. a, ka, so, e, ne, ki...) and then tried writing the hiragana corresponding to them. 3. I also made flashcards of the hiragana. After every set of hiragana, I try to add the flashcards of the hiragana characters I've learned so I can practice reading hiragana. 4. After learning all the hiragana, I searched online for hiragana reading/writing exercises and answered them. This is just my method of studying. I hope it helps someone else who wants to learn. Have fun learning 🙂
Its not that difficult once you memorize the basics since most of the characters contain repetitive symbols like the "dot.dot" thing or the tiny circle for letter P

I just started to learn Japanese language which is a must in order for me to land a job in Japan once I and my Japanese wife will move to Tokyo, soon. So far, I found it interesting and challenging to learn such a complex language system. Hopefully, I’ll be able to learn the fundamental in due time. Thanks for this online lessons! It would be a big help for my journey to learn your language.
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to learn Japanese for a long time but never had the opportunity to enroll for classes. Now I can finally learn it in my free time. Arigatou Sensei!
Thank you for teaching us Japanese. Actually I'm learning Korean for 10 months now and I'm about to learn this language. You're better than any TH-camr that teaching Japanese.
Thank you so much for this helpful video!! I just found your channel today and subscribed. This year I decided to learn how to speak and write Japanese because I always loved the Japanese culture since I was little. Also, my goal is to translate one of my favorite Japanese singers "Toshi Kubota" songs because his music is so beautiful! Thank you again for the great lessons!
Learning Kanji Yes, Missing and La La La Love song is one of my favorites. Another song I like is the Japanese version of this song, "Keep Holding You," which was sung as a duet by Toshinobu Kubota and Sunmin.
I like the Hiragana symbols because some of their shapes are memorable like さ(sa) and き(ki) looks like a smiling man with a pointy nose wearing a conical hat. し(shi) looks like a hook. ひ(hi) looks like a horseshoe. And a few more. And one thing new Japanese learners should know is that Hiragana isn't always phonetic, like if は(ha) is a linking verb, it's pronounced "wa", same goes for へ(he) becoming "e" and を(wo) becoming "o", which is where Kanji might be necessary, when you say "Mom likes flowers" you don't write 「ははははながすき」(ha ha ha ha na ga suki) because it looks like gibberish (especially since Hiragana alone makes text childish), instead you write 「母は花が好き」(Haha wa hana ga suki).
This along with the PDF is all I needed to learn the very basics of Hiragana. I did not know what materials to practice with at the beginning but the content of the file was very elementary and easy to understand for absolute beginners. Thank you.
Very very clear. This is the best video learning hiragana compared to several other videos from other teachers. Excellent job. This video makes me not to give up learning hiragana. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Baby steps. Everyday for a week, spend 30 min and write out just five syllables; a i u e o. Then add the next set. Quiz yourself on all sets you've covered at the end of each week. Once you learn how to even read words, then you can worry about adding to you vocabulary without relying on anime. lol It starts to become fun. Just figure, you know, repetition repetition, repetition.

Thank you very much for watching and having subscribed my channel. Oh, is it "Toshinobu Kubota"? Good luck on your learning!
Learning Kanji Oh thank you for responding! Yes, it's Toshinobu Kubota. He's an amazing singer!
Thank you. The first song I listened to is 『流星のサドル(ryuusei no sadoru)』. Other famous songs are 『Missing』, 『LA・LA・LA LOVE SONG』, etc.. ありがとうございます。
Learning Kanji Yes, Missing and La La La Love song is one of my favorites. Another song I like is the Japanese version of this song, "Keep Holding You," which was sung as a duet by Toshinobu Kubota and Sunmin.
U Jelly-san, I haven't known "Keep Holding You". Thank you for introducing it. ありがとうございます。
I'm a beginner and this is really helping me THANK YOU!!! you got a new sub
Thank you very much for watching and commenting and subscribing. I am glad if it is of any help to you. ありがとうございます!Good luck on your learning!
I like the Hiragana symbols because some of their shapes are memorable like さ(sa) and き(ki) looks like a smiling man with a pointy nose wearing a conical hat. し(shi) looks like a hook. ひ(hi) looks like a horseshoe. And a few more. And one thing new Japanese learners should know is that Hiragana isn't always phonetic, like if は(ha) is a linking verb, it's pronounced "wa", same goes for へ(he) becoming "e" and を(wo) becoming "o", which is where Kanji might be necessary, when you say "Mom likes flowers" you don't write 「ははははながすき」(ha ha ha ha na ga suki) because it looks like gibberish (especially since Hiragana alone makes text childish), instead you write 「母は花が好き」(Haha wa hana ga suki).
odd
Oooo... Thanks for the knowledge, i m currently learning Japanese too.😊
This is the first time I watch a video to learn a japanese language and i learned a lot..
thank you very much Sir...😊
This along with the PDF is all I needed to learn the very basics of Hiragana. I did not know what materials to practice with at the beginning but the content of the file was very elementary and easy to understand for absolute beginners. Thank you.
The two dots are called 'dakuten' or 'tenten'.
Tenten is cute in naruto
@@i_am_wxttson5026 she is
Tenten IS USELESS
And the small circle is called 'maaru'
And the circles are literally called "circles" (丸).
Very very clear. This is the best video learning hiragana compared to several other videos from other teachers. Excellent job. This video makes me not to give up learning hiragana. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
5:50 he pulled out those extra sheets of paper and I clicked off and said "you thought"😂💀
I really appreciate his effort to teach us the basis of Hiragana, it's really gonna help me with my studies, thank you very much.
Thank you very much for sharing this idea. It's a very big help for us beginners to learn Hiragana and Katakana step by step process. Thank you for the PDF. Arigato :)
This might be my best video about learning hiragana ,you made it so easy thank you
This is so excellent, thank you.
Appreciate the detail, excellent fine writing, and pronunciation. Perfection.
I’m Japanese high school student.
So, I can't speak English well.
I’m sorry.
I think there are many people who are interested in Japanese here. I’m very happy.
I'm studying English at my school. I'm always saying ”English is difficult for me😭"
But I noticed Japanese is more difficult.
I respect you. I'll try to speak English better.
Let's work hard together!👍
Yessir let’s keep hustling😎(also your English is good)
there's more difficult language out there but i think the difficulty of learning Japanese is just intermediate compared to Chinese, russian, German, etc
Your best
@@narmena i thought german was quite easy
@@mothver not for everyone though
You made my hiragana study a lot easier. thanks a lot
you explain very understandably, I understood and started writing it with the help of the "Kana Drill" application with words
OMG. It's my first time to learn japnes language I feeling like I did alot practice before, just co'z of method of teaching Sir you're a Great Teacher. I loved to learn I'm sure I'll learn in few weeks if you teach us like this method. Respect from depth of heart. Thank you
My brain that only knows English is going for a ride
Lol ngl I had a mini stroke reading that
most people: learn japanese to watch anime without subs/read manga
some people: learn japanese to actually speak it
me: learn japanese *to sing japanese versions of kpop songs without romanization*
I'm doing it for all of that actually, and do I can yell at people in Japanese and they wouldn't understand a thing :>
i'm doing it for all
and also can curse people out in japanese...and it's going too well....
Me too 😎😎
Wow
I've been to Japan.. And it's the most beautiful country 💙💙💙💙I loved it.. And I eagerly want to visit again sometime... But this time being perfect with Japanese...😊
I could understand everything in this video.. You have tried to make it as easy as possible.. Thank you soo much.. Arigatao gozaimasu.. 😊💙💙
This is the absolute basics to learn a new language and you made it well informed, with pronunciation as well as common ways to write it down. 👌🏽
Yeah i know this is heard to memorize but the way he teaches us? It’s just too understandable and I’m enjoying learning all of them
Thanks a lot, sensei. It's really straightforward for beginners.
Theint Aung -san, thank you very much for watching and commenting. ありがとうございます。
@@learningkanji3930 Are you aware that the vowel "u" is a flat vowel in Japanese?
I find this very musical in sound, therefore it sounds beautiful.❤
Thank you for your teaching, much appreciated!
Thank you so much. Makes learning much much easier with the good explanation and clear voice.
I'm learning Japanese in English when I'm Spanish xD, Double learning (?) jejeejj
Yo tmb

Estamos igual jajaaj
I doing the same! xdxd
Yo también xd
Japanese looks harder than I thought....
True
this is just the alphabet
I think so too!
But we can study one step at a time.
You may also check my video on how to write hiragana. 🤗
ahhhh i just disvovered there is kanji..
I love this video. Made me feel back to real school.
I hope everyone that was dedicated to learning Japanese using this video became successful in doing that, crazy that this was 5 years ago,now it’s my turn
This is actually really helpful it helped me more than other tutorials on TH-cam
Motivation : want to write my name in Japanese
After watching: it is impossible without changing the name due to lack of nesessery sounds and constructions(
I’m pretty sure foreign names are actually written using Katakana, not Hiragana, which is what’s shown in this video. Sorry if you already knew this, or if it really isn’t possible with your name.
@@nats_art477 there is no sound for (SI) !!!

once saw a video of a guy explaining how to write English names in katakana
imma take the original comments name ''Андрей'' (in Roman letters being 'Andrei'' and I mean its an easy name to turn to katakana- tho it has d and r next to each other which kinda is easy to fix, but I can't exactly explain it that well, sorry- tho ill add the link to the video if I can find it
anyway, his name in katakana can be written as アンデレイ (a n de re i)
anyway I'm done trying to explain it- here's the video that explains it much better

My name is Andrea but my art teacher who is Japanese told me that I would write my name as アンドレア being Andorea. It might not be spelled the name but it’s similar
My name too cannot be written in hiragana because of lack of h!!!!!! 😠😠😡😡
I appreciate he still teaches us even though his English wasn't that good.thanks for the japanese alphabet 🥰🥰
His English is good. He just has an accent
Tysm! Ur video makes it easy to understand. The vibes ur giving out is like a very nice teacher :D

を is pronounced ”o” when it is used as a location particle.
Example: (location)を(verb)ません。[I (verb) in (location)]
ho is sometimes said fu (I said wo first, shows how bad I am at japanese...)
