Big LEGO City Update! Mountain, Creek, Parking Lot, Farm & More

- In this update, I make some significant changes to the LEGO city! I start creating a new massive mountain to host the Mountain View Observatory. The bottom section of the mountain covers the raised platform just behind the farm. I also expand the 1950s Diner parking lot and tiled off a section of the beach. Also, I changed the raised platform layout, added a creek, and much more!

Having some palm trees integrated into the sidewalk near the skate park and parking lot would give some additional color to the area and shade for the minifigs. 🌴 Love all the new projects you’re working on! 👍

I can already see the future. This whole city is going to be completely rearranged soon. The best part of having a city made of Lego.....It doesn't cost billions to rearrange

He is looking to move into a warehouse space, so there will be a re-build
You should add 2 people climbing the mountain! I think that would add a cool twist and a bit more detail to the mountain! I love your videos by the way😁
You could move the Ninjago area to some bracket shelving on the wall above the campground area. You could make it look like everything is floating in clouds.
Perfect timing for the UP house release, now you have the opportunity to show him escaping the new building construction below his house.
I think you should put the A-frame cabinet on the small hill. you really can’t see it at the moment because of were it is

The city is getting better and better
you could extend the mountain up a bit further (elevating the observatory even higher) and having the railway curve go through a little tunnel.
I agree with this. The curved portion of the raised rail road should curl into the mountain with slits in the rock to peek at the train as it curles through into the mountain and disappears
I would argue that it does make sense for the water to come from the observatory because that’s where water comes from, the top of mountains
Put the venician houses at the beach? Next to the fishing store, it would match the area nicely

Get rid of the mansion. Make that area "Ninjago Island". All the sets in the middle, surrounded by transblue to the edge.
Move pop-cultute street to the raised platform. Any remnants of pop culture street can go in the current residential area.
Slide downtown over next to the theme park, where pop culture was. Place residential between the forested campground and downtown's new location.

with the beach you could put some tan plates and tiles to look like sand over flowing onto the side walk
Would be really cool to have a cable car going up to the top of the mountain, providing access for the city dwellers!

Just an FYI, since you said it seems pretty big, the observatory is 32 studs deep by 36 studs wide. The trees on the left and right stick even further over (about 5 studs on each side), so just keep that in mind when you go to build a spot for it on the mountain.
Out of all the Rebrickable sets, this is one I am most excited to see!

Def need that parking lot for dinner, plus can use it to setup "Car Shows", "Food Truck Event", use it to setup start of a 5k "Bike/Run" and should consider also 1 three level car park, makes city feel more real and lived in, plus a 3 lvl be a pretty big structure but if put downtown make sense. Maybe wait till move for bigger multi lvl car park
I'm so glad you decided to keep the farm in the city! I was afraid it was gonna go. Glad that you got a lot of projects done today in the LEGO City and it is looking awesome! Cant wait for the placements of the construction site and train station.
The Venetian houses should be as close to the beach as possible, just makes sense to me

I had an idea for your observatory mountain, since you have a gap above the bear exhibit of the zoo. You could make it a cave for the bears, that way you can save some parts and have other access for the zoo workers.
Looks really good the parking lot you could add a footpath with some flowers in the middle raised flower beds and tile uo to the bike stand and skatepark

Pls take my idea make a pond on the raised platform and then put the rest of the mountain on top so it is a pond in the cave connected to the the zoo river, the farm creek, and the ningago lake

I’m liking the changes and the new plan for the Bricklink buildings. Just a thought for the Construction Site. Maybe put it next to the Farm, which would show “Progress and expansion of the City area into the country. Just a thought. Keep Brickin.

I noticed the observatory has a pink cherry blossom tree. I wonder if a little cherry blossom forest could be a good way to transition the mountain over to the Ninjago city area.
After seeing that colorful skatepark set at the Lego store, I think you need it. The parking lot is perfect, but all that gray needs to be broken up.

Build the mountain over the raised train line if you need the space at the top
Put the Observatory in the corner on the mountain above the campground and move alll the ninjago to the raised platform

Do you have room maybe 10 studs to extend the zoo to the train turn on mountain? Maybe blend the new mountain as part of the bear exhibit? Like it's built into the mountain
And if it could be swung, and there is room, maybe a mountain train stain that services the zoo and observatory?

I watch your updates in the morning in Australia whilst having breakfast at 5 30am before going to work. I was so excited when you moved the Ninjago buildings along as I had suggested that. ( You might have done it without me) but I feel part of the city now. Am loving the landscaping work you are doing and glad you moved the farm, farms don't belong next to a beach, can't grow anything in the sandy soil. 😊
You should make a tunnel for the raised train in the mountain, instead of supporting it
Why don't you use Duplo to make the hidden the structure of the mountain ?
How about the Venetian houses along with the Eiffel Tower, then you can make the Epcot Ball to make the various areas of the world at Disney!!🎉🎉

The farm just doesn’t fit the Lego city but thank you for posting videos every day man! I really look forward to knowing I get to watch a Lego episode everyday, it helps me escape life after work and get into the Lego mood as I usually build everyday after work. I try and keep 8-10 sets on deck so I have a nice selection to build from (speed champions, technic, creator car sets, and Harry Potter)
You should place the modular construction site set when built next to the Up House, like in the movie
To add something near the farm and downtown, could be cool to build a market with lots of stuff from the farm and others selling things

I have an idea for the train station. Since there are 2 lines you could make one of them go up and connect to the raised line.
I would suggest putting a playground on top of the campground hill

Tens of thousands of unsorted parts just sitting around under the city in bags and boxes and drawers and keeps ordering more parts. Time for Simon to start parts sorting full time by the looks of it
I think for the mountain on top of the raised platform it would make sense for a body of water to be at the top like a spring and then hand that feed that water on the platform and the waterfall and the observatory
you should make the path to the bikes and scooter by the parking lot the same colors as the boardwalk in the beach
You should have built a drive up parking lot like old 50s diners with speakers for ordering and girls on skates delivering food

I think the observatory woudl look good up top. And maybe a waterfall trickling down into a river
As an astronomer, the amount of light pollution that observatory would have hurts lol, as a Lego city fan oh that’s a pretty spot
If you put the construction site where the Lego store is you can have marvel characters fighting in the site, that’d be crazy
this is just amazing, I have not seen anything cooler than this, you are my idol
It might not be my place to say as i am not a great lego builder with a massive you tube channel, but i think that you should use a selection of grey cicular 1x1 and 2x2 pieces to transition between road and mud path or skatepark and beach
I think it would be cool to bring the mountain out a bit where the train can go through it

In the tiling of part of the skatepark and the bike rack you can place a bit of tan tiles to integrate a bit of sand. :)

Observatory base is not 32x32. it's 32x36. I learned this building mine 2 weeks ago and working on altering my mountain top to make it fit
I feel like construction site Modular could fit perfectly next to Venisian houses
