In some ways i would have liked if they had a version for the switch, even if if it cost slightly more as I just don't do mobile games especially since many just crash if I try to play them.
They didnt have to do any of this at all. Live service games come and go, its sort of how it works and people who come and join it knows that. But for them to go above and beyond, and feels like its own complete game like a DS one, is so freaking awesome. Nintendo remains goated as always
This sounds like everything I was hoping for (being able to replay old events that I missed & a reasonable (initial) price) plus so much more! They didn't have to do any of this and it's such a nice treat. The new events must be a relief for the people who stuck around the entire time and might think that replaying everything could get stale, but don't want to give up playing the game now that the online version is ending. Personally, I think the post-January price hike is a little steep, but I'm not surprised (considering how Nintendo prices things) and it sounds like the initial low price is a way to reward current players.
watching this makes me think.. if only they made it so you paid for the game (not micro) *and* had online features from the get go. of course, that would not have brought them as much profit but it would’ve been soooo much more fun.

what I'm confused about why no mention of EUR currency price of the paid version, you can "pre-register" but not "pre-order" and there is no price in there, I'm genuinely confused about that part! the rest I am pretty excited!
See if you can look up the App Store price in EUR; so far I’ve preordered in Canada at 12.99 (the exchange rate is more than 9.99 which makes sense) and seen that it’s 9.99 in Australia too. The likelihood is that it will be less than the equivalent of $20 USD, and closer to 9.99 euro or the equivalent exchange rate. 😊
I had a look at "what is animal crossing: pocket camp complete" webpage on nintendo's FAQ website, and while they do not have the euro pricing, they *do* have the GBP pricing of 8.99 for the early-bird price, and 17.99 for the full price - so it's safe to expect that those of us in the eurozone will have the exact same pricing as the states: a tenner for the early bird, and 20 for the full price

(My guess...). So link your account before November 28th for sure. I am looking forward to it and glad the fortune cookies will still be available
A lot of people, like myself, play it because we don't have a switch or other playstation gaming device. To move it to switch would lock a lot, if not most, people out who are currently playing it. Might have been nice if they added switch for people but they'd have to pay devs to port it and probably don't think there would be enough interest.
@@TamanduaGirlthere also wouldn’t be a point of releasing it on switch when there’s already an animal crossing game on the switch and the new console is due to be announced very soon! honestly if they ported pocket camp to switch people would just be confused why didn’t just port the content to new horizons
I tried to revisit my pocket camp campsite a few months ago… every time I tried to log in with my Nintendo account i would get an error message. I can’t remember the entire process i went through but when i finally got back into the game, i had to start from scratch… tutorial and all😢. I don’t think I’ll ever see my original campsite again😭
It's there but not searchable. They have a link to it under their official YT video or on the website. I could only preregister though, not preorder. But someone found the deadline info for friend transfer and it's June. So plenty of time.
That isn't true. The game was banned in some EU countries, but they simply removed it. If EU regulations had gotten stricter, they would have just removed it and kept it in the rest of the world where they still made plenty of money. The truth is the game is over 7 years old, they were ready to stop. There's not much else to be done at this point and Nintendo themselves has significantly moved away from mobile gaming.
@CrossingChannel right but I did hear around a law considering making it so that all online services are required to have an offline mode by X date, but yeah looking at it I can see there isn't one YET.
Imo this seems okaaayyy for $10 but it depends how much grinding you have to do to earn items in game, that’s the main thing that got me to stop playing the original game, because it’s essentially just a cute decorating game without much substance but it wanted me to sacrifice wayyyy too much time of out of my real life to earn digital furniture and it just didn’t seem worth it. Itll be worth it to me if you can sit down for maybe 20 minutes per day tops and easily earn all the stuff you want to decorate with.
OK, I pre-ordered the game but I don’t have the option to transfer data so how do I transfer my data before 28 November? Because the game won’t be on our phones until December 3? It’s kind of confusing how it will work?
@@dimleaf Not all QR codes work like that, some of them like ones used on 3DS games seem to just have data inside the QR code itself rather than a web server.
What if I've linked my account to Nintendo but don't plan to play Animal Crossing Complete anytime soon, can I still retrieve my progress and data afterwards even after thr launch period?
I will miss the online features but at least you can collect your friends cards to remember them by. But what up with that January price Nintendo really!?
I am really looking forward to this! The micro transactions is what kept me from playing this game. I only started it to get the Pocket Camp items for New Horizons. Oh, and I almost forgot: Bob's Gang! 😃
shockingly this isnt bad? its 20 bucks after end of jan 2025 so right now its 10 bucks which isnt bad, almost all major stuff from the original online one will be in it, they actually added new stuff in and updated features to work with it.
I need help, you said transfer deadline is today??? But I can only pre register to the app and not download it. How am I supposed to transfer my data today I am panicking, I don't wanna lose my game progress and items!!! Please help!!
The deadline for transferring data is June 2025 as stated in the official website! If you’re able to do it soon then I definitely recommend that, but do not worry since you have plenty of time to do that
You have to link Pocket Camp to your Nintendo account before 27th of November in order to store your save data. The save data storage period on your Nintendo account is until 11:00 pm. PT on June 1st, 2025. Edit: Cleared up my post to give better information, as the post below reminded me that people aren't mind readers 😅
Just make sure you link your Nintendo account from the original free game before the free game shuts down! 😊 then you’ll have all that time to claim the data storage again - but if you don’t link it, it sounds like it won’t be stored.
@@21cormorants Yeah, I know..But there was a question how long your save data will be stored on the Nintendo account. And that's the answer I've found from their FAQ page. To save the data, you have to link your Nintendo account before the 27th of November.
@@rissaarei5336 gotcha! I just wanted to add it in in case anyone skimming might think they have all the way until June to do any of it. 😅 That would be heartbreaking if they missed the window for linking their account.
So far it looks like it’s 9.99 or the equivalent in most countries, just not guaranteed - but likely; it seems the announcement was aimed at the US market, but the AUD price, CAD price and others have been in the 9.99 range when you go to the App Store and preorder. CAD is 12.99, which is in line with a normal exchange rate. 😊
Can we get this thru Nintendo? Do we still have to pay for it? Could I get a $10 Nintendo card? Or do I need to get 10 dollar card like if I wanted app from store on computer site? I don't trust using my credit or debit card.
It does yes, you can get exclusive items in ACNH by connecting to the original game. I’d do this before the original closes. There’s a guide on their website!
As Crossing Channel mentioned there are some Pocket Camp exclusive items that you can unlock for New Horizons - but be warned that you have to link your Nintendo Account to do so, and if you have multiple games of ACNH on multiple Switches, you can only redeem the code to unlock those items once, it seems. (I cracked PC open for the first time in years to try to get those items unlocked in my newer game, but it told me that the code it gave me had already been redeemed, and didn’t let me do it again.) The exclusive items are the Break Tapper game machine (like a casino game), Camp Sign, Fortune Cookie Cart, some mini camper van models, an OK motors sign, and several other bits and bobs. You can unlock them and then order through your Nook Special orders at the ABM. Apart from those items, Pocket Camp has no bearing on New Horizons, and is its own game, similar to Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, etc, each being their own games. Still fun, though, and with some really incredible items that we can only dream would be in a main title game. Hope that helps!
So what I’m hearing is micro transactions didn’t work for them so they’re going to shut down the free version to sell us access to items that lots of people probably already have. I love Animal Crossing but this is clearly a cash grab for Nintendo. Like they’re low key scamming the people who were willing to pay the micro transactions. I have no doubt many people spent more than $10 in micro transactions and now they’re going to have to pay twice for the stuff if they want to transfer the items they paid for. I personally haven’t spent money on Pocket Camp and I do genuinely think that the new version will be worth the price. But this paid version is sort of a slap to the face for the people who’ve already spent money on the current version. Which totally their choice, but it doesn’t make it right. Anyone who’s already spent $10+ in micro transactions should get the new edition for free. I know Nintendo would never, but they should.
I do agree with your latter point that people who have spent should get it for free, but speaking as someone who spent loads on this game, I don’t feel scammed at all. The idea behind this isn’t just to get more money, it’s so people can keep their progress. The original game cannot last forever, and in most cases mobile games like these would just shut down and all of your items you paid for would be gone. It’s important to remember too that all of that money you spent still means something, you still keep those items. New players won’t just be able to unlock them all instantly and get everything you paid for. It’ll take time, in some cases years of grinding to get everything. And whilst yes, they spent less money to do so, you enjoyed your items for years longer than they did. That’s just how I see it.
I plan on making content on this so I hope you’ll check it out! I think it’s great we have new Animal Crossing content to enjoy in 2024! Definitely watch the new features section of the video because there are some really fun things they’re adding.

I don’t think I’ll ever see my original campsite again😭
will this be on the google play store?? I only see it on the apple store T_T
Yes it will! I think they have a link on Twitter
It's there but not searchable. They have a link to it under their official YT video or on the website. I could only preregister though, not preorder. But someone found the deadline info for friend transfer and it's June. So plenty of time.
If anyone wants to know, this new version wasnt planned, they had to create an offline version due to EU regulations
(correction is underneath)
That isn't true. The game was banned in some EU countries, but they simply removed it. If EU regulations had gotten stricter, they would have just removed it and kept it in the rest of the world where they still made plenty of money. The truth is the game is over 7 years old, they were ready to stop. There's not much else to be done at this point and Nintendo themselves has significantly moved away from mobile gaming.
@CrossingChannel right but I did hear around a law considering making it so that all online services are required to have an offline mode by X date, but yeah looking at it I can see there isn't one YET.
@@CrossingChannel it's not like it'll change much anyway
You know something good of this game? It would be available in Belgium.
I gave up on pocket camp because of the micro-transactions, but I really liked it, so I will definitely be pre-ordering this.
OK, I pre-ordered the game but I don’t have the option to transfer data so how do I transfer my data before 28 November? Because the game won’t be on our phones until December 3? It’s kind of confusing how it will work?
Never mind, I think I found my answer
Will this be available on the iPhone?
Yes and Android
Also do we buy it through Nintendo? Thanks!
The Apple Store?
You can buy it on the Apple Store! Check the official account over on Twitter, they have direct pre-order links
$12.99 here in New Zealand, not too bad in all honesty!
What should I spend my leaf tickets on?
I hope that you will still be able to visit people's campsites.
You won’t sadly as that was an online feature.
@@CrossingChannel What if the campsite data was included on the QR codes?
@@KittyCatKayden QR code is not data. It is basically a link taking you to a web server. There will be no servers to take you to.
@@dimleaf Not all QR codes work like that, some of them like ones used on 3DS games seem to just have data inside the QR code itself rather than a web server.
I want them to release it on the Switch
The switch is trash 🚮 gaming on phones and tablets is the future
The expiration date for the transfer is june 2nd, at least according to the app store listing
5:48 - they sure as hell don't LOOK like Leaf Tickets.
ITS NOT ON GOOGLE PLAY YET
I’m looking forward to the complete app, I just wished we could customize our character more. Let me change the nose Nintendo 😭
What if I've linked my account to Nintendo but don't plan to play Animal Crossing Complete anytime soon, can I still retrieve my progress and data afterwards even after thr launch period?
Until June 2025
I will miss the online features but at least you can collect your friends cards to remember them by. But what up with that January price Nintendo really!?
I am really looking forward to this! The micro transactions is what kept me from playing this game. I only started it to get the Pocket Camp items for New Horizons. Oh, and I almost forgot: Bob's Gang! 😃
shockingly this isnt bad? its 20 bucks after end of jan 2025 so right now its 10 bucks which isnt bad, almost all major stuff from the original online one will be in it, they actually added new stuff in and updated features to work with it.
Where can I watch the direct?
On the official Nintendo Mobile channel
Nintendo Mobile channel
it's on the Nintendo Mobile channel, but not a Direct
Do we pay each month or is it just 1 one off payment?
It's a one off payment
what about getting items from pocket camp to new horizons??
Yh 😢
How are people pre ordering it i can't find it on the the google app store. I'm in the uk if that makes a difference
There are links under the official YT video or on the website. I could only preregister on my store but it is there.
Wait, but what about putting pocket camp on the switch? Is that still a thing?! Or did someone lied?! 😢
That was all speculation
They never confirmed for the switch people just said that
I need help, you said transfer deadline is today??? But I can only pre register to the app and not download it. How am I supposed to transfer my data today I am panicking, I don't wanna lose my game progress and items!!! Please help!!
The deadline for transferring data is June 2025 as stated in the official website! If you’re able to do it soon then I definitely recommend that, but do not worry since you have plenty of time to do that
Just make sure you link your Nintendo account before the free game closes, then you’ll have until June to retrieve it in the new game.
i quit pocket camp becamp because it got to expensive
What's going to happen to "gifts"? I have so many still?
I'm going to get this when it comes out
I can't pre order it. It only allowed me to pre register it on my phone
bobs gang is super happy u can get everything for free and it's only 10 dollars bc i might have spent a lot of money on it a long time ago
@@21cormorants Fixed the post, hopefully nobody got confused by it before now.
OH MY GOSH THANK YOU NINTENDO I AM SO TIRED OF EMULATING NEW LEAF THIS WILL JUST LITERALLY CHANGE MY LIFE
Already preordered. Bob’s Gang
Maybe we can get some pocket camp complete
I already linked my Nintendo account 7 years ago
So i do not have to do anything other than confirm the transfer within pocket camp complete
it launches on my birthday so maybe it’s a sign to get back into it 🤭💕
wait i did not understand a thing, will the game be 9,99 or 19,99 for whos not in the US???
So far it looks like it’s 9.99 or the equivalent in most countries, just not guaranteed - but likely; it seems the announcement was aimed at the US market, but the AUD price, CAD price and others have been in the 9.99 range when you go to the App Store and preorder. CAD is 12.99, which is in line with a normal exchange rate. 😊
Can we get this thru Nintendo? Do we still have to pay for it? Could I get a $10 Nintendo card? Or do I need to get 10 dollar card like if I wanted app from store on computer site? I don't trust using my credit or debit card.
U said ur able to pre order it right?
You can pre-register (not pay) for Android, if I’m not mistaken, or pre-order for Apple devices and pay now. So it depends on your device!
@@21cormorants ohh thank you! How do I do that?
So, for someone thats never had pocket camp, is it good for anything? That is, does it have any bearing on the big game?
It does yes, you can get exclusive items in ACNH by connecting to the original game. I’d do this before the original closes. There’s a guide on their website!
As Crossing Channel mentioned there are some Pocket Camp exclusive items that you can unlock for New Horizons - but be warned that you have to link your Nintendo Account to do so, and if you have multiple games of ACNH on multiple Switches, you can only redeem the code to unlock those items once, it seems. (I cracked PC open for the first time in years to try to get those items unlocked in my newer game, but it told me that the code it gave me had already been redeemed, and didn’t let me do it again.)
The exclusive items are the Break Tapper game machine (like a casino game), Camp Sign, Fortune Cookie Cart, some mini camper van models, an OK motors sign, and several other bits and bobs.
It's also a fun new game for you to play if you haven't there are 7 years worth of items to decorate with actually more than ACNH has.
One is a dollhouse, and the other is a landscaping sandbox. They share a lot of similarities, but their main draws are noticeably different.
i hope its gonna be available worldwide, i cant find it on the app store (I'm from Israel).
1:33 - specifically, $9.99.
I can not wait for the game on switch 2
I wish they'd let you play it on a tablet 😕
i dont mind that it’s $10, but i only wanted to spend $5 lol so it better be worth it 😒
Ok, all done! Bob's Gang!
If it's not on switch I'm not going to play it 😕. I don't have a tablet and the phone is really too small of an area to play. 😢
Wait I have to PAY for it my phone is weird so I can’t pay for it 😭so I guess I’m outta luck I was looking forward to playing 😢
