Hi, so glad I found your channel. You make things easy to get. Question...4 months in, do you still recommend the door handle? I want to use this to let guests come in, but I wondered how do you erase those fingerprints from previous guests? Tks.
Great question! I actually had to return the door handle recently. It was still recognizing my fingerprint, but the lock wasn’t engaging so the door wouldn’t open. The lock was still operational with the key, but it didn’t work with fingerprint anymore. I’m going to try some more (maybe from Amazon or a name brand) and see what works best. My update on it will likely be in a Smart Home Tour video in the future.
Yes, you would need two of the Fingerbots to toggle a switch on and off, which is why I wouldn't really recommend using it for a light switch. You can get a smart switch for cheaper. It does work pretty well for other cases, like a soundbar or printer, or for a switch that you usually have on, and only care to turn off remotely (like my under cabinet lights)

You can use one fingerbot to turn on and off. This could be done by putting double side tape on the finger tip.
