It seems to me that all jujube varieties thrive here in SoCal. My favorite is the Thai giant which I have in a pot but no flowers yet. I heard grafting jujube is difficult.
@@thenoobgardener I'm 50% on jujube grafts over the last couple of years. But that's probably due more to my lack of skill. I'm in the desert, hot dry zone 9a, so I've been focusing on heat tolerant varieties. But that ga-866 looks amazing.
Yes, I use the synthetic 16-16-16 general fertilizer from homedepot every 3 months after it comes out of dormancy and stops once the fruits start ripening.
Are you sure? Tag says it’s ga866 and does look like it. I won’t be surprised if it’s not because a lot of the trees I bought turned out not to be what it was advertised.
Super productive. Wow. I have five varieties of jujube but not ga-866. I'll put it on my list for grafting next spring.

@@paulm965 Nice, maybe I’ll try grafting jujube one of these days.
May I ask what state and zone are you in ? Because my GA-866 is not being productive at all here in Austin, Texas. Thanks.
SoCal, zone 10b
I'm growing jujube in Clearwater Florida. Supposedly a grafted Thai variety. Where are you located and zone?
Huntington Beach, CA 10b. Good luck with your tree.
Thanks for reply. Love jujube.
What variety did you plant?…We are in central Florida
Hello, where i can get them? I love to grow them in my backyard.
Thank you for sharing!
Search on Etsy.com if you don’t have a local nursery to go to.
Okay, thank you!!
Do you fertilize it and what do you use?

Any update how the fruits turn brown now?
Not brown yet but edible now so I've been eating off of the tree. Maybe that's why none of them got a chance to ripen fully :)
It is not g866. More like Lang
