Bought one cant wait to use it... that protective cover can be difficult out the box for anyone who's experiencing the same hard straight pull away from detector dont be shy it took me a few goes
Also use a block of wood and hammer to remove pointer cover when it gets vacuumed-stuck.(like what happens with 2 buckets) or just use insulation tape around pin pointer cover to keep water out.
Hello Which of the Quest Scuba Tector Pro and Nokta Scuba PulseDive would you recommend for land use? Is there a clear difference between the 14 and 20 cm coil in terms of sensitivity and depth when searching for group coins for land use?
I used the 8" underwater at sensitivity 5(full) and it was keep falsing..I turned the machine on/off many times but it was.keep falsing..so I hunted at sensitivity 4. On the other hand when using the small coil at full sensitivity I rarely getting false signals . So what's the point having the big coil and can't use it at full sensitivity underwater... Anyone tried at Full sensitivity the 8Coil with better results than me? By the way great video man !!❤️
Turn it up to Level Five. It's at it's weakest sensitivity setting when you first turn it on. You need to hold one button while pressing another several times (... two blips; three blips; four...) to increase the sensitivity to Level Five (long tone). At Sensitivity Level Five, it seems at least ten times more sensitive than it is when simply switched on. This video review is done at the weakest setting.
Being the bigger coil penetrates deeper it is safe to think it will deteriorate the battery time faster..what is the difference? And..it penetrates deeper...but what is the difference in WIDTH of coverage on the same item at 1"? 3"? 6"? Can you do a video on this? These are important factors and you would be the only person of all the videos now showing the same test ( most similar with similar results) look forward to this test that is not not available on TH-cam as of right now. I own the 2in1 Pulsedive and have a 8" coil coming..l will do my own test but many l am sure are as curious as l am about the battery life difference and actual width diffence! Thanks for vid!
Hi James, The battery life is still longer than I can detect for so I don't actually know if it is affected or not. I can still get 8 hours no problem using this combo! :)
hey, interesting comparison would be how long do you have to hover over an object for the detector to find it, why? when i swim with pulsdive i feel it would be nicer if i could move the tool faster - maybe its possible with the bigger coil ?
8inch definitely feels like double the coverage,,, depending on your ears(some targets only give a short quick sound as it is on the edge of the machines finding capabilities, and you may miss the target) and closeness of target to coil ,,slow is better
@@marcsmetaldetecting2477 hey Marc, my question was if this bigger coil detects objects faster. If I move my hand fast underwater very often tool won't sound alarm, is this the case with the bigger coil too?
Hi mate. I tried my box out in port phillip bay. I actually found no targets whatsoever after an hour of trying. There is a fair amount of black sand under the white sand. Are there any settings you could suggest playing around with?
Bugger I just bought one with intention of gold snipping in fresh water rivers/creeks. The gold is usually small. I wish they made a modem like this but tuned for small gold. Any recommendations? Anybody want to buy my pulse drive with a discount?
I really wish they would have designed this as an oval shape. I use mine while snorkeling and I could cover more ground without gaps in my swing with an oval shape.
The loading effect only happens if you ground balance it out of the water then put it in the water. Have you tried that? I am not sure it is the loading that increases sensitivity but moving the built in noise threshold. If you air test with the loading coin in place when you switch it on or ground balance there is no increase in sensitivity. I am surprised how insensitive it is as a PI machine. But digging deep holes under water is not easy so it is ok 👌 providing the sand is not very deep. 👍
That's some good depth. I might get one while i wait for my nox to get back from water damage. Great detecting videos as well, I've posted as few of my own water hunts. You should buy some gloves fyi, i find a tonne of broken glass in the sand, and if you cut yourself in the water in WA the great whites are coming (just kidding, kind of)
@@robertatkins7752 Yeah, I've had 2 nox's replaced for water ingress. I snorkel with them but I think ultimately the equinox isn't that robust compared to the excalibur. If the speaker gets a hole in it, water goes right into the control box.
I've used the nox underwater in about five feet of water and have had water Ingress. It was still covered under warranty and I don't use the new one underwater anymore. I use the nokta macro anfibio for underwater hunting it is Bulletproof!
Good test my friend! Just a quick question: in order to be "overloaded" and have more power/sensitivity in salt water...should I turn it on in the air before going into water, or turn it on after while already underwater? thanks in advance and greetings from Greece :)
How much the coast with us dollars please . Is it can catch gold chain or necklace and how can it catch gold ring if straight not sleep same like your test . We need more test in beach or river plt because the customers they want to buy it but after more explains with new 8 inch scuba coil . Regards
Super helpful video. Thanks. I just got one and it only gets a US quarter at 2 inches. Big coil seems the way to go.

Protective cover lasts +-2 years +-600 hours use
Leave in Warm water , then remove

This video was done at the highest setting (level 5)
Great video, thanks for that mate.
Thanks for video! More interesting will be test for small gold things and difference between coils.
Como le ases para cargar la bobina esa parte no la entiendo
Nice demo my daughter wants this hand held detector thanks for sharing this 👍
Getting me excited!!
Gigmaster really good piece of gear man, loving mine!
Hey! Would you mind defining loaded up? Cheers! 🤙
I gotta get me a Pulsedive!

Can you do the same test as a pin pointer at max setting Please
Спасибо за тест ! Было очень познавательно !
Agreed🤙🏻
Great job ed mate 👍
Historical Magpie thanks Steve, I enjoyed making it 👌
Very nice video Man! 👍🏼
But, How much does it cost to replace the battery in nokta makro service? for this model?
The standard scuba coil is enough for me because with hand is difficult for digging a big hole really its difficult.
Toyota Subaru you need to have lead weights to stay down and then you can dig easily :)
Trust me this is an awesome upgrade! 👍

You can keep the detector over an object so that it beeps indefinitely or atkeast till the battery goes flat

Black sand shouldn't make a difference,,, push reset when in dought,, and make sure its on strongest setting.
I wonder how good they will be on small gold nuggets on land? Thanks for the video.
A&B Prospecting
Tim Swenor
Tim Swenor definitely not intended for nuggets. It would be near impossible to use for prospecting in my opinion.
unfortunately pulsedive not detect small gold nuggets or even gold chains . pulsedive is simply made for gold rings and change money..

@@MrDingaling007 the same brand has a device for small golds the name is Nokta Kruzer Gold you can buy that one for gold nugget hunts .
@@MrBubbles.. thanks for that info. I'll check it out right now. Otherwise the Minelab sdc2300 is suitable but extremely expensive.
Does it worth the money? I’m managing in buying this coil.
SPR_Sniper_Cabe for me the coil is definitely worth it. I can search more area faster and to a greater depth 👌
it doesnt detect as deep as ur air tests are showing its only a rough guide
I really wish they would have designed this as an oval shape. I use mine while snorkeling and I could cover more ground without gaps in my swing with an oval shape.
Neptunian an oval shape would not give greater depth though so they compromised and gave this coil greater coverage and depth! 👍
