Alas no... I would have called it out. I did ask Aiper if they plan on bringing this and it looks like its a no. However, as its a TCP stream for remote access back to the APP, I'm hopefully those boffins in the community can "intercept" the message and provide us with access. watch this space :)
Let me know if this one lasts for more than two years without repairs. Most of these type units begin to fail after a year in a chlorinated or salt based pool. The gadgetness pales to the need to be corrosion proof (not just resistant) as the propeller shafts begin to become a problem and UV proof (not just resistant) in that the solar array degrades over time. I have also had batteries fail in less that two years and are not user replaceable. If this is anything like what I just described, it is NOT RECOMMENDED!
I guess time will tell as you said. I'll report back in 12 months and let everyone know, so its a RECOMMEND until otherwise advised. (I'm a half full kinda guy :))
