Now in Lao, that was a very good look into the Phuthai people and culture. I have many Lao friends in the US. I really enjoyed you sharing their customs and how friendly they are.
Definitely one of my favorite videos of yours! I love when you show the ethnic minorities, Phutai culture is amazing ❤️😍 the traditional clothing is gorgeous! When my aunt backpacked through SE Asia she met up with her mom and family in Thailand - they wrapped the bracelets around her wrist like they did yours in the video!
Phutai means "people of mountain". Tai Dam means "people of Black River". Tai Daeng means "people of Red River Delta." Tai Kao migrate from a further location and their origin is unclear. Kao as in white is the key of location name. These are all Lao names and people. Same DNA as Lao, Issan, Lanna, Lue and Shan.

Great video, thoroughly enjoyed it! You're blessed to be living in such a rich culture and surrounded by an awesome Lao family -good stuff! Btw, your restaurant looks fab and being a chef, I would, one day, enjoy visiting and sampling your establishment's delicious Lao cuisine. :)

Dear my friend..I just want to tell you about what i met in Chong Ta- U in Ubonratchatani. I arrived at the check point and i told thai officer that i am Lao. He did not look friendly at all so all of us must be careful.
Great video, I loved the editing! I hope you had a good time. We just got back from traveling around Europe and we've been documenting our travel adventures. We'd love it if you could check it out

My grand mother is Phutai or so my mom has told me. I wonder if they are the same as the Dai group.
We are different but we are similar at the same time. I'm part phutai too
Laos = bigest ( I'm phutai in VietNam)
Sabaidee 🙏
Can we get a video on phutai language vs lao/Thai language? I know they are similar but there are some differences just like tai dam, tai lue language
Not much different Because the Phu Tai tribe just migrated to Thailand for more than 200 years.
Great video, I loved the editing! I hope you had a good time. We just got back from traveling around Europe and we've been documenting our travel adventures. We'd love it if you could check it out
