What a nice hatchery. We have one near us but it has gotten smaller and had only one raceway now. They used to let people feed the fish, but not anymore. I love that the fish hatchery you showed us also has a museum/education center. That's really neat!

There’s a hatchery in Brazoria County, TX that breed ocean fish like Red Drums and others. They do public tours, but I got to go with my friend and her daughter on a private behind the scenes tour and it was amazing. The daughter is now in college working on her degree in Marine Biology, and she set up the tour to kind of understand one of the jobs she could do with her degree plan. The hatchery was really interesting and huge. It was similar to this hatchery in a lot of ways and yet different in a lot of ways too. Very interesting to see the Fresh Water side of things. I would rather see something like this than go to a crowded place that isn’t meant to be educational at all. I need some science and nature in my outings. 😂

The timing of your release was perfect! I'm staying at one of the resorts at Table Rock now! Love hearing about the hatchery from you! Weather permitting, I plan to go see this!

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed seeing all the trout. I do like to fish and I appreciate the hatcheries that stock the fish for us fisherpersons to catch.

I visited there as a child and went back about 5 years ago. It is definitely interesting.

So cool. I used to take kids on a field trip to Crosseyed Cricket a fish hatchery when i worked at the Boys and Girls Club. So much fun and plenty of brain wrinkles lol.

If you've ever seen lake stocking from a plane it is crazy to watch. The landing of the fish seem a bit rough. Tough little fish. ❤️

I love this place. Used to take my kids there for free entertainment, except for the quarters for fish food. So much fun. I also go if I’m by myself 😂.

Great presentation! How far away is the hatchery from your base camp?❤

I'm guessing this was recorded a while back. The Shepherd of the Hills fish hatchery is currently closed during the construction of a new visitors center expected to open spring of 2025. However there is another cool fish hatchery a little west of Branson at Roaring River State Park, about an hours drive.
