Hi, Do I have to sand from 800 all the way to 2000 grit? Is 2000 grit not too fine so that the 2in1 clearcoat won't stick good? Or is it ok to go up to 2000 grit? I want to have good results and don't want to have unnecessary scratches from the sandpaper, but also don't want the clearcoat to flake away in time. What do you suggest?
A new headlight shouldn't give a reason to be painted. If they're older, follow the sanding steps. Orange peel is caused by an irregular paint finish. It is best to try it in advance to get a feel.

@spraymax what sort of PPE (mask/filter/gloves) do you recommend. OSHA says supplied air mask are required for clear coats if they contain isocyanates.
We recommend a half mask with an A2/P3 filtration. Disposable gloves and any kind of safety goggles. When we work with UV, the googles should of course protect against UV rays.
Do you have to hsr an infared light i dont have one can i let mine airdry if so how long until cured? And do i wait 10min before applying the second coat? Thanks!
Hi, yes, you wait 10 min. before applying the second layer. If you don't have an infrared light, you can also let it airdry which needs around 12h to dry.
The regular 2k is too hard and in time it will crack considerably and is almost impossible to sand off. Headlight clear has to be flexible due to the heat of the headlights make the plastic expand and contract.@@stinkletoes8285

Hi, if you follow the steps like in the video, the clearcoat will last for multiple years. But it could be shorter depending on the environmental influences such as sand, hale, rain etc. The difference is that the 2in1 clearcoat has an additive in it that guarantees adhesion to the plastic.

Yes I do i do jobs every weekend. Been using priloduct for 3 years and still standing atong with customers..as long as they take care of there lights .. and also not bashing everybody has their technique.I have a three step technique that just comes out beautiful 320 dry with or without a machine. 800 wet.and finally 1000 wet .. Been doing this for twelve years.This is my shortest, and the best results I can come up with..need any more tips let me know

All 2k products have so many negatives to list here, Basically the primary reason is it bonds way to hard to the polycarbonate which needs to expand and contract with changing temperatures Winter Summer, Not only that 2k is responsible for Spider cracking and other defects which are permanent, Over heating making the lens brittle prone to crack, But the main reason trying to remove this crap when restoration comes around again which it will beleave me nothing is permanent!!!🤔
Hello, I’m confused about the UV part. The website points out that this product “provides durable UV resistance” but some of your responses to comments says there are no UV inhibitors, some point to using 2k clear coat if UV protection is required, and come say this product does have UV protection and will last multiple years. I don’t want to work through the six steps and prep only to find out this product will still end up yellowing within a year. Does this product have UV protection and / or will it stop my headlights from yellowing for at least a year or more?
We made a mistake in our previous answers due to translation errors. Our 2K 2in1 Headlight Clear is very resistant and contains UV inhibitors to protect against UV radiation (like our 2K clear). The UV-radiation causes the yellowing. We deleted/corrected every wrong information about it - Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for your understanding!
Hi, totally depends on the size of the headlights and youre technique. If you follow all of our steps shown in the video with SUV sized headlights, you should be able to do at least 2 with one can.

It literally eats through sanding discs and takes a lot more time and effort if caught in time. Nobody has yet to answer my questions and tend to avoid it. Why is a paint clear an industry standard to apply on headlights? Especially when there are specifically made coatings for headlights.

@@David-hy7rn Orange peel is only caused by the user not applying the paint properly. It has nothing to do with drying. You can achieve faster drying with the heat gun. But with caution ! Rather put it on low and keep moving as you said.

Hi, depending what you mean with different products. We recommend our Way & Grease remover, because it's an efficient removal of silicone, grease, oil, wax, dirt, tar, and soot. Also it improves the adhesion of waterborne basecoats.
I mean a degreaser for automotive paint. I got your product from Amazon hoping it will have instructions and it did not. So I started research and found this video. It took me a while to find your prep product. So I’m going to order it. But if I was not so determined to do it right. I would have done same thing like people that live bad reviews about your product. Scaff it wipe and spray. (I’m pretty sure they newer found instructions)You need to provide instructions with product or with every saller online. It took me a while to find your video about it with information. Before I was looking for information in review and everyone is telling a different story only cupel people did find your information and did it right way everyone else is guessing and trying that’s not good for product reputation.

If I dont use primer. How many minuters between coats do i have to wait without IR lamp? . I want to do 1 Light and two more coats after that. I have done this before with the standard 2k with 6mins between coats and went really well. This new spray i believe Will take less time between coats. Does it Hurt if i wait few more minuters than it needs?

I bought some but this isn't feasible for my mobile service, I just wet-sand and polish in 6 steps, sure it's not coated in an epoxy resin, but I only go through Sanding disks. Too much wind for a mobile service and I can't use a heat lamp, so I won't be using this technique

Hi, if the room temperature is between 15 - 25°C (59 - 77 Fahrenheit) it'll dry naturally. We recommend to let it dry for 24h.
