Here’s something i realized for this song, if you listen to it, it’s similar to the theme of the dragon you fight back in the previous game, and I love that we get two giant animals with similar themes.
I would say this track is definitely built on the foundations of The Dragon. It's like how the Heimdall track is built on the Magni and Modi boss fight.
i love how the dragon and magni + modi's themes are remixed in GOW ragnarok, they sound way more menacing, it's like they're telling the player 'you've faced stuff like these before, but the stakes are higher now'
Garm or Garmr is described as a wolf or dog, chained in front of a cave in Helheim. When Odin goes to Helheim to investigate Baldur’s nightmares, it’s described a hound howls loudly at him, we suspect it to be Garm. In a poem, Garm is said to be “the best of hounds.” He’s fated to be released in Ragnarök and fight Tyr, both will die.
@@anthonytonythegeek5561 There's some speculation that Fenrir and Garm might be the same creature under different names, or at least used to be. The connection between Garm and Tyr is a good indication that this might be the case. Which is exactly why Santa Monica decided to merge the two characters in the game.
*Phase 1* Atreus: Father! You okay?! Kratos: Yes. Now we fight. Atreus: You leave us no choice! *Phase 2* Atreus: Dammit! It's not working! Kratos: I can see that. Atreus: Why does it keep coming back!? Kratos: That is its nature. Atreus: Well we gotta change that, and fast! Atreus: It's like, he doesn't have a soul or something... Atreus: Wait! I think I know how to end this! Kratos: How? Atreus: I need you to help me get on its back! Kratos: _What?_ Atreus: Just trust me, okay?! I got this! Kratos: We do it your way then.
When I saw the beginning of this fight, it reminded me one legendary quote from this series. And that is: You have disrespected the gods for the last time, Kratos! XD

The dragon was easier, even though mine glitched so bad, my game crashed. I never noticed the same beat reused for Garm... but I was too busy not dying.
Makes sense why Garm would be such a reality-devouring monster. He has no soul, so he tries to fill that void inside of him by consuming anything he can.

I thought that was Fenrir for that last part?
@@anthonytonythegeek5561 Nope. It’s Garm. Fenrir fights Odin, Garm fights Tyr
@@edrick106 ah ok
@@edrick106 it would be awesome that Fenrir fights Odin and did a funny difference with The mythologies

Out of all the boss fights in the game, this was the most fun.
yes, for me this fight and thor's first fight is the best in this game
@@kratos57fr, those fights were very fun
Thank you so much for this! I recognized the arrangement from God of War 2018 and I needed this song!!!

Can we get the theme from when Brok blesses the Draupnir Spear?
