some nice speed and fierce attacking action here, and flat game too. enjoyable to watch. there can be better control of pace and use of net. look @3:17, white shirt replies to shuttle hit high and slow near the net. his opponents are still in defensive formation, yet he chooses to hit a drive, which comes back hard. he can just gently block that shot near the net and force a lift that will probably be short, which gives you control of the rally and a good attacking opportunity, for example, what the black player does at 4:45. another point is that although the winning team's rotation is overall ok, there are lapses in discipline. speed and hitting skill is good, but teamwork and rotation is a little off. for example @5:08, black plays a shot to the net area and doesnt follow the shuttle to net-- he waits to see what will happen, which is wrong. he should follow the shuttle to the ready to handle any net reply and pressuring opponents to lift. when a net area shot comes back he goes to the net and makes a low and slow reply to midcourt and again fails to take responsibility for the net. instead he's gonna attack the lift from the rear court, like he's playing singles. regardless of how skillful you think you are, you cant play mens doubles that way. or, you can, but you are giving up your edge, and against better players you will need that edge, so it's a poor way to play and practice. @5:28 look how white player comes back. i understand why he did that, because his partner might have forced a rotation at the point, but he didnt, so white needed to stay at the net, maybe adjust himself leftward slightly to handle the left rear corner if necessary. the solution to these types of problems is to play in a disciplined way yourself, and if you need to, talk to your partner and hopefully you can both leave ego out of it. again, excellent camera angle and video quality
Good observation. I liked @ 2:10 where black shirt gives a tight drop and forced the lift and got an opportunity to finish. One tight drop is better than smashing non stop. The reason smashing non stop is working well is opponents are weak and don't know how to return a defensive "drop" for those smashes.
@@pranshusugara the reason isnt they dont know how to return those shots, it's that they rotate poorly. in your clip @2:10 look what happened just before. red played a net shot but didnt follow the shuttle to the net. so when black plays a tight net shot no one is there to take it early and it has to be retrieved near the floor. they know how to lift, they just want to hit the shuttle and see what happens instead of moving into the optimal place before it happens

this video makes me wonder why there is not much presence in international badminton from Vietnam.
The skill level in this video is ranked A on tournaments. There are a lot of people that are as good as them but decided not to pursue further. Government support, exposure, financials, etc. These are the common reasons why badminton is not pursued in some countries even though they have the potential and skill to do so.
I think this kind of play style wont work in highest level of tournament. lack of variation and deception. the direction of the smash also nothing special.
