This is one of my absolute favorite stories of the Bible…I’ve always tried to imagine what it would truly be like to sit beside a brook/river and every morning and evening a bird, a Raven, comes and hands me bread and meat to eat….😳 Thank you God for being so loving and super creative!
Would like to point that richs are deceptive to our hearts but also can be a gift to share with others as a test. God isn't against wealth, but he does want us to put others first and glorify him. It's about your heart not the materials you have.
He also says that it would be hard for a wealthy man to go threw the eye of a needle. It isn't the money it is because most will put the money first and not God.
He said it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter into heaven. NEXT VERSE-- but nevertheless ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IN CHRIST JESUS. It's not wealth that is bad, it's the LOVE OF MONEY. it's choosing to be greedy and keeping it all to yourself and not giving to others especially the poor and widows. If we truly knew and understood our Father we would know that when we give, whatever he will give it back pressed down and running over. In other words in abundance. So if you want to be wealthy give, give, give. But with a glad heart. You shouldn't even ever have to ask for anything for your self. Because he will supply your needs and desires when we pray for others. And when we pray we should already know that what we ask will come to pass. So really we just ask once and then continue to thank him because it is done. Your just waiting for it to come from heaven to earth. Thanks be to God the Father for loving his children. ❤
I love the fact that in God's word it shows how time and time again. God's Love, Holiness, Justice, Righteousness works in tandem for good. He's a God of everything good, using everything for good. Now how can anyone accuse him of anything bad ??? I just don't understand. Praise God. Hallelujah to the Lamb. Glory to God. Thank you Father for your Son Jesus. Thank you Jesus for saving my soul. They are reading the Bible (especially the old testament) and trying to understand it with a carnal mind. Not paying attention to the verse that says the carnal mind cannot understand the word of God. I was raised up thinking God was a God that punished people and made people sick or caused accidents if we done wrong. Thanks be to God for the Holy Spirit that had to humble me and cause me to begin to look at my heavenly Father through the eyes of a little child. I had to throw out everything I thought I knew about Him and basically start over and let the Holy Spirit teach me. It's truly changed everything and put a deep desire in me to want to know him more and more.
Gracious Provider, teach me to be generous as you are generous. Open my eyes to the needs of others and soften my heart to respond with compassion and kindness. Help me to steward well the resources you have entrusted to me, using them to bless and uplift those around me. Amen.

I don't know why but this story reminds me of a joke I heard many years ago. I heard it in Spanish but would translate it. There was this poor old lady that always prayed to God, one of her neighbors didn't believe in God and was always mad at the old lady. One day the old lady was praying so loud that the neighbor could hear her. The old lady said "God please send me groceries, I have nothing to eat". The neighbor had an idea "I will buy her the groceries and prove to her that I did it, and there's no God". The neighbor comes back with groceries puts them at the old lady door knocks and hides. The old lady sees the groceries and starts thanking God, then the neighbor comes out and says "I got you I told you there's no God, I bought you the groceries" The old lady looks up at the sky and says " God thank you! You did not just brought me groceries but you made the devil pay for them" 😂😅

I was that single monther spoken of. In one season, I had 3 children in diapers. I kept losing jobs because I had no one to care for my children so I could work. I have had times in my life where I didn't even have 2 pennies to rub together, yet we always had just what we needed. We never knew true hunger. We have always had a roof over our heads and weather appropriate clothing. It is difficult, but well worth it. I am now happily married (6 years married, 12 years together) to a wonderful God-fearing man who spoils us. He is an admirable spiritual leader, provider, protector, and comforter. God is good all the time.
