The Shard is AMAZING. If technically minded, check out how it is constructed .. very strange/clever internal design. The first time I went to the very top I casually looked up .. to see a jet liner almost within touching range .. I could count the rivets! Note that it is in two separate vertical slices : one is for the paying public to visit the top and the other contains the offices, hotel, restaurants and apartments.
lol I caught y’all early, great vid . It’s funny how German and English names can sound completely different but it’ll be the same form of name , and since I’m American , I would hear variations of names all the time
Das ist definitiv meine Lieblingsfolge. 😂 Wir waren im Sommer selbst in der HP World. Ach so, es gab eine Szene mit einem Schocko-Frosch im Zugabteil. Harry fand die Dumbledore Karrte.

Hey, i’m just taking a chance by writing here. I love to listen to your podcast on spotify, however the ads are so loud i get startled every time. I’d appreciate it a lot if you’d look into either increasing the volume of the podcast or decreasing the ad volume. The gap right now makes it so that i barely hear the podcast yet still get an earful every time an ad comes on. Other than that its a great podcast and a joy to listen to.
Haven't watched the video yet, but just to be clear, we almost exclusively say Harald Töpfer ironically/jokingly. Everything Harry Potter related in Germany is still called Harry Potter, not Harald Töpfer, unless it's specifically meant to be a joke.
Works less than in other countries. A clean car is a figurehead, which is why eating is unusual or typically strictly forbidden by the father. Washing the car by hand every Sunday was still compulsory for ~80% of Germans 20 years ago. 🙈 🙈 People under 30 now mostly see the car for what it is, a commodity, and are not so pushy.
Tourists : Brit here who used to live in Munich: when in Germany if with family or friends at a restaurant etc we would switch to German if English/US tourists sat next to us. You can have too much of the "Are there still Nazis here?" conversations.
In Germany we dont say Carpenter, we say Zimmermann (m/w/d)
Genau! Und nicht "Liam" sondern Wilhelm.
Was sagen Sie dazu Herr Wilhelm Zimmermann? 😂
It means Schreiner@@KarlderGrosse800
Like the songs from The Carpenters
Du meinst Zimmerman*innen (a/b/c)
@@saschaesken5524Or Sabrina Carpenter

Ich musst richtig lachen, als ich es endlich verstand- Harald Töpfer?😂😂😂😂😂
Books over movies! Although I miss Alan Rickman as Snape. Also, welcome to Slytherin!
And now Maggie Smith 😢
You two really do look ready for the Tri Wizard Cup. Fun recitation of your tourist experience.
0:01 'arry Po''er is so ridiculous😂
Moving to Germany, what we do for love. I love the language interplay back and forth.

Everything sounds more classy in French.
Mr. POTTER 🥴
Herr Töpfer 🧐
Monsieur Potier 🥸
@@olli1068local digga, why you'd have to ruin the jokes with emojis, the sentence were fine without it.
In Australia its just Potto

You can tell who has the final word in this relationship....
Hi Liam, just wanted to ask if you've been to Münster lately. Cause I saw someone who looked like you 😂
"when we was in the bus" good to see you haven't been fully germanized yet
Rita Skeeter is translated to Rita Kimmkorn in german
Bestes Päärchen auf TH-cam
You should do a German on self checkout at tesco. They never let you scan fast haha
Of course there are more translated names! What about Professor Kesselbrand oder Professor Rauhe-Pritsche! They might be only in the books though.
The sorceress wasn’t in the book. Invention of Warner brothers
Liam was right with sectum sempra... the quiz was wrong! XD
Das 1000. Schaf hieß Harald - und das war 100 Jahre alt... (zum Trainieren der Aussprache des Namens...)
You two are adorable
It's interesting. I have never heard it since my gf always says Harry Potter even though she is German. I should ask her to let me hear

I’ve never in my life heard someone call Harry Potter Harald Töpfer in Germany
Neville is blond in the books
Is it true Drive Through does not work in Germany as Germans won't allow eating in their cars as the automobile is a temple to Volkswagen?

Die Japaner mögen auch Harry Potter und haben auch einen Themen Park davon.😮
Hallo Liam, wann kommen neue Videos von Dir ??
Still not getting why someone would be happy to get assigned to the Schweinewarzen house.
"When we was in the bus"....come on, mate, can't blame living in Germany for long time for making you forget English, your mother tongue.
How much is the 24h ticket?
In russian it's Garry Potter
Garry potrov
Gargej Potrovovitsch 😂

hello
I used to live in Munich.
I could detect British businessmen at 100 metres.
In Germany we don’t go to the store on weekends because everything is closed since Friday afternoon till Monday morning. Funny country, isn’t it?..
Take off your shirts for more views.
Im so sorry but i dont like the Podcast.
there is a solution: don't watch 😅
In Germany, we say HEIL..
