    @AtlantisFootball Could you also do a video about how different Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton is compared to his predecessor Graham Potter's? I feel like Potter's work at Brighton has been undervalued and De Zerbi was able to bring his A plan because he inherited a well-drilled team from Potter. That's not saying De Zerbi is simply lucky. Garna Hojlund Amad front three could do it for us. Hojlund even from the centre has been a great focal point and has been good with his passes. Garnacho and amad are fast players who like to dribble. From what I've seen amad has more tendancy to come inside but garnacho mixes it up. The most important thing is that we need a di maria to provide for hojlund. I think both garna and amad could become elite dribblers but someone has to be the provider

If I knew beforehand that he wouldn't want to implement this then I most likely wouldn't have wanted him as strongly. But the issue is football has moved on from those times. Teams are fitter and quicker to transition back to cover off the ball in defense. Seldom have such space to dribble nowadays. That's why team tactics to create space is supreme now. Like how Pep, Xabi Alonso, etc etc have created team systems to create space instead of relying on individual brilliance of wide players beating opposition from half way line.

    • @AtlantisFootball
      @AtlantisFootball  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s why you want as many players caught in your defensive third so Garnacho has more space in the middle third and can isolate a defender easier with the midfield line high

    • @marvisjames6935
      @marvisjames6935 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If anything I think these skills are more important as being press resistant and being able to dribble into space are probably the most important skills in football today. With teams committing more players to organized pressing, having a player that can comfortable dribble out of defence can easily by-pass any organized system and start the attack.
      Elite teams always try to have multiple options they can use depending on the opposition to create space.

      @@AtlantisFootball de Zerbi is getting unrelenting amount of praise for his automations which are good, but he is already being talked up over managers that have gone on and won league titles and cups in decent European leagues, and that cannot be justified, as I said time will be the proof, whenever a new managers arrives at top leagues with few adjustments in approach with player movements and triggers, it takes good quality competitors in top leagues some time to figure them out, that is the first test for upcoming managers, how they adapt once they are figured out. And in no way De Zerbi deserves to be hyped without proving that longevity. Unfortunately for content creators and media he is a great source of content for now and hence is new darling, but their judgement is driven heavily by his novelty. Longevity through adaptation and evolution is the true test of how good a manager is, and can he win things while doing that? There are managers who have won titles and are not treated with the same hype, and irrespective of league, if it's a competitive league, winning titles with a clarity of system and the ability to adapt should be the litmus test that de Zerbi is yet to do, give him an opportunity to do that before putting him in that category.

      He 100% deserves the hype. It’s not about trophies with managers when they start their career it’s about how good their tactical set up is with the players at their disposal. And De Zerbi has proved he is one of the best in the world.
      It was the same with Arteta at the start. We want a manager who will be one of the best in the world in the next 5 year period not one who won trophies years ago but may not adapt to the changing style of play.

      By that logic, the only manager united can appoint is Emery because he has won titles. There aren’t managers around who are tactically the best around and have won trophies other than pep, klopp and Ancelotti. It’s unrealistic to use trophies as a way of judging managers at the start of their careers

      @@AtlantisFootball and you have now come to the right point, De Zerbi is a manager who is at the start of his career, and he should be treated as just that, there is an unrelenting unrealistic hype around him and his being compared to managers who first showed tactical acumen, then, they did not just win things but also proved their longevity by adapting, is unrealistic. Even Arteta is going through a journey, he has won cup and now is about to win a league, if he does that, then he will be considered to have levelled up to the better category of managers. And yes, not tactical novelty, but the ability to win things is the true test of top managers, what else are managers given job in big clubs for? To be tinkermen? No. Obviously most not succeed, but that's why there are levels to how managers need to be compared, and people are giving de Zerbi more credit than what he has achieved. He deserves recognition for having an interesting tweak in approach and making teams out perform their individual ability of being creative on the fly by drilling extensive patterns and automations, but this 2-3 year cycle of changing "the next big thing" has devolved into hyping upcoming managers over others. For example a manager who would've won things just a couple of years ago would be discarded for the new shiny thing just because there is a drop off in their career, it's a very short sighted approach of evaluating coaches imo. Even if you don't want to go that far, all I am asking is, give it a couple of seasons, let de Zerbi spend time competing with sides that have resources to read opponents and see if he is able to adapt when they come up with solutions against him. You don't want to rely on trophies right? So let's see how fares against this test first.

    United should go for Enzo Fernandez. Him, Bruno and Mainoo would dominate the midfield freeing up garnacho and other wingers. And if United get a forward similar to Kane or Joao Felix (if not hojlund), Garnacho would have a perfect structure to thrive.

      Yep said that at the start of the season and everyone was calling me crazy. Only thing is Chelsea would have sell him for a lot to recoup their money

    It amazes me how people wear rose colored glasses when it comes to Garnacho. He is wasteful and nonexistent in build up. He comments several turnovers in dribbles and passes and goes long stretches of being invisible. People have a habit of overcritizing players based on their wage is the thing. Garnacho's only utility is when the ball falls in his path. That is a poacher which is fine for a CF but trash if your winger is a poacher. He is a low budget Lautauro Martinez but we don't play a 2 forward system like Inter. I would sell Garnacho for 75m plus; he is the single most profitable player on a team desperate for defensive transfers.

      @@AtlantisFootball Greenwood was 19 and looked better, Amad is a year older and has shown more. That is not an excuse at all and both are already on the roster. Sancho showed more at the same age too so 19 means nothing. 100mill even more reason to sell...and who do I buy? Since I have so many other wingers I get all defense, Tapsoba, Todibo, n Goncalo Inacio n aim for Xavi as coach in short. Unfortunately the coach part is tricky.
