The list of items are all the things that can get you into the park but not allow you onto going to the sun road?

Once you get into the park, you have access to GTTS rd. To get into the park you will still need to get a park pass whether you have the annual pass or you pay the $30 car parking fee. This is the regular fee you will pay at the brown little entrance booths. But to by-pass the secondary entry ticket that is getting sold out every day you can have something on that list.
Also since we have been here (since May) we have not seen anyone at the Camas checkpoint, Many Glacier entry, or Two Medicine entry, and of course you can always get onto the road with absolutely no pass at 6 am.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I know this whole ticketing mess is confusing.

This video was very helpful! We’re heading there in a couple days and we were so confused about the process to get in and this helped a lot

We're glad to help! We hope you enjoy the park as much as we do. Just remember to bring your bear spray! We saw 2 big grizzly bears just a few days ago.

Thank you for the explanations on vehicle registration for GTTSR and clarifying activity reservations that will let you be admitted without timed registration.

Great explanation of the system! I am looking at possibly working seasonally in Glacier next summer… are seasonal workers exempt from this system? I’d hate to have to reserve in advance every time I want to go hike on my days off.

Yes, employees are exempt. You go through the employee line at the ticket booth and show your employee pass to the ranger and you're in! We have a video on working in Glacier if you want to check it out as well 😁

I think restrictions are only necessary when customers and guests fail to have common courtesy for others around them, or the wild life. You must be responsible and respectful.

Got turned away couple summers ago cause of no $2 online going to the sun road pass. Next year the road was closed. Both trip were by motorcycle from Illinois. I hear you can get in the park free before 6A.M. If this is true, then I could stay the night nearby and get to St. Marys well before 6A.M. Is this a good idea? Thanks, Jeff

Yeah! So if you get in before 6am they don't require the reservation. Atleast that's how it's been the last 2 years. Good luck!

It sucks. I am here now and have been trying to get reservations last 2 days and no luck at all. Now I'm stuck here for 3 days and can't go to the park.

Hey, you can get into the park before 6 am and after 4 pm as well. Getting in early is a good idea anyway if you want to hike because you'll beat the crowds. I believe you can also hike and bike into the park without a reservation.
