I thought my phone was old and not working. LOL!! And by mistake I lend back from the QR code on website. and at that time the next page popped up. I went to start your Video again to see what to do next..... And lost the page on my Phone. LOL!! but I saw that it did work. So I played around and got page to come up again an I continued, It was a task but I got it done. Now I am going to call my Grandkids to show me how to work TikTok and how to create, edit and post Video's. Good Summer Job for them. LOL!!

I went to add a product after going through all the steps successfully and it says I’m not a member of the affiliate program so I can’t add it (1400 followers)
I followed the instructions. 10 minutes after I was approved my shop was permanently closed for unexplained reasons. An appeal got a second email confirming that my shop was closed without recourse.
Getting 0 views on first video posted, I’ve made accounts get to hundreds of thousands of followers organically and Ik video is good. TikTok isn’t even testing the video by showing to people. Why am I getting 0 views

Derek, your steps were really clear, and I appreciate the walkthrough. I have one question, though-I can't seem to get past 6:35 in the process. After scanning the QR code, I received a message saying, 'The TikTok account has already been linked.' My identity verification went through successfully, and I got an email today saying, 'Congrats, your account is approved.' However, under the 'Official Account' tab, I still see a green 'Link Official Account' button, which makes me think the account hasn't actually been linked. I also don't see the TikTok shop icon on my profile. I've been working on setting this up for nearly a month, and I'm too determined to give up now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm happy you find this video helpful. The best way is to have the product on hand to make the TikTok video. That is one of TikTok Shop's guideline, you need to show the specific product if you're going to link it in the video.

PLEASE CLARIFY: For all the products we want to promote, do we "purchase" all those products if we cannot get a "free" product from the seller? Do you suggest buying a few products and creating multiple videos about those products, see how they sell before buying more products. Hello :) thank you for watching and here are my answers: For all the products we want to promote, do we "purchase" all those products if we cannot get a "free" product from the seller? Yes, I would purchase and start with a few products first, get good at making content, and once you have social proof of being able to create good content and results, it becomes much easier to get samples from other sellers/brands Do you suggest buying a few products and creating multiple videos about those products, see how they sell before buying more products. Yes, it's a good idea to create multiple videos about one product so you can test different angles or video formats. Just make sure you don't repost the same video without any edits to it, even it is all your original content. TikTok doesn't like repurposing content. Hope that helps :)

You don't need to upload any products to the TikTok Shop account, your affiliate account on your Regular TikTok account will still work. In my experience, and many others' accounts I see, it is empty and there is no issue
Good morning Somehow I have signed up my tik tok shop as a seller, and when I try to add products to my show case it keeps telling me: you are logged in as a seller. Only creators who are eligible for commission can view the product marketplace. Do you know how to switch this?
Linking a seller account to get access as an affiliate no longer works at the moment for new accounts signing up now. Most existing accounts who have gotten access in the past still continue to work. For new account signing up now, you would need at least 5,000 followers in order to qualify for affiliate access, unless you are invited to their pilot program. You get paid 15 days after the order is delivered. Can get sent to your bank account or Paypal. I am not entirely sure, but I think it's possible to have multiple account for 1 person
Hey Derek, so I have 20 years in direct response advertising copywriting, video & radio production, as well as many years in digital marketing. These really are akin to TV and/or radio spots, i.e. :30s & :60s which has been around for 100 years. Part of my strategy is to raise the bar in production level for my TikTok affiliate spots, i.e. a bit less of looking for the quick buck and rushing together a crappy video (lazy, no longevity). Obviously if you have been an influencer with an existing base of 100,000 followers, that's a huge start. I also see producing multiple versions for each product for A/B testing... thoughts?

so technically when making a new account it doesnt matter what the starting niche is correct since were just trying to get above 1k followers to get into the program. But if we wanted to sell a specific niche product we should make content in that niche. Thanks for a great video. I'm completely new to all of this, so I have a couple of questions. If you buy a product a want to make a post everyday, do you post the same video over again or do you make different videos about the same product? Also how many videos/days do you post about a product before you move on to a new product? + If you really want to make money and has no followers du you buy a lot of products or can you do TIkTok affiliate without buying lots of products (using money)?
I would not recommend posting the same video over again, even you created the content yourself from scratch. TikTok just doesn't like that, they want each piece of content to be unique. I would recommended making totally different videos about the same products. The frequency of posts really depends on you personally. Some people get results posting multiple times a day, others get results posting just once per day, so I would just test different frequencies and see what works for you. For someone new, I would start small with 1-2 products, once you have social proof of making good videos, you can approach sellers and many of them will be willing to send you free samples so you won't have to buy the products.

You can do both, it's not a problem as long as you meet their respective criteria. I see that In your Tutorial my shop store is connected to my TikTok app on my phone. Am I up loaded these Video's on my personal TikTok Profile?
I personally get paid by PayPal, so the commission gets paid to my PayPal account. I believe you can also get it direct deposited into your bank account. Whichever TikTok account you have connected to the TikTok Shop account is where you will posts from. (it is the account that you have access to the Product Marketplace)

TikTok Shop is currently in the USA and 8 other countries I believe, I am not exactly sure about countries that are not yet eligible

hmm thats weird.. have you tried their chat support to see if they are able to provide the exact reason why they closed your shop?

Derek, your steps were really clear, and I appreciate the walkthrough. I have one question, though-I can't seem to get past 6:35 in the process. After scanning the QR code, I received a message saying, 'The TikTok account has already been linked.' My identity verification went through successfully, and I got an email today saying, 'Congrats, your account is approved.' However, under the 'Official Account' tab, I still see a green 'Link Official Account' button, which makes me think the account hasn't actually been linked. I also don't see the TikTok shop icon on my profile. I've been working on setting this up for nearly a month, and I'm too determined to give up now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I would purchase and start with a few products first, get good at making content, and once you have social proof of being able to create good content and results, it becomes much easier to get samples from other sellers/brands
Do you suggest buying a few products and creating multiple videos about those products, see how they sell before buying more products.
Yes, it's a good idea to create multiple videos about one product so you can test different angles or video formats. Just make sure you don't repost the same video without any edits to it, even it is all your original content. TikTok doesn't like repurposing content.

You don't need to upload any products to the TikTok Shop account, your affiliate account on your Regular TikTok account will still work.
In my experience, and many others' accounts I see, it is empty and there is no issue

You get paid 15 days after the order is delivered. Can get sent to your bank account or Paypal. I am not entirely sure, but I think it's possible to have multiple account for 1 person
Hey Derek, so I have 20 years in direct response advertising copywriting, video & radio production, as well as many years in digital marketing. These really are akin to TV and/or radio spots, i.e. :30s & :60s which has been around for 100 years. Part of my strategy is to raise the bar in production level for my TikTok affiliate spots, i.e. a bit less of looking for the quick buck and rushing together a crappy video (lazy, no longevity). Obviously if you have been an influencer with an existing base of 100,000 followers, that's a huge start. I also see producing multiple versions for each product for A/B testing... thoughts?

so technically when making a new account it doesnt matter what the starting niche is correct since were just trying to get above 1k followers to get into the program. But if we wanted to sell a specific niche product we should make content in that niche. Or does it really matter... because were not getting paid through our followers right were getting paid through the conversion of views to sales from all the ad content were posting.. sorry if i worded this wrong... this is the only roadblock i have..

Once you become an TikTok Shop Affiliate, you'll have access to Product Marketplace where you have access to promote any products that are being sold on the TikTok Shop.
Thanks for a great video. I'm completely new to all of this, so I have a couple of questions. If you buy a product a want to make a post everyday, do you post the same video over again or do you make different videos about the same product? Also how many videos/days do you post about a product before you move on to a new product? + If you really want to make money and has no followers du you buy a lot of products or can you do TIkTok affiliate without buying lots of products (using money)?
I would not recommend posting the same video over again, even you created the content yourself from scratch. TikTok just doesn't like that, they want each piece of content to be unique. I would recommended making totally different videos about the same products.
The frequency of posts really depends on you personally. Some people get results posting multiple times a day, others get results posting just once per day, so I would just test different frequencies and see what works for you.
For someone new, I would start small with 1-2 products, once you have social proof of making good videos, you can approach sellers and many of them will be willing to send you free samples so you won't have to buy the products.

I see that In your Tutorial my shop store is connected to my TikTok app on my phone. Am I up loaded these Video's on my personal TikTok Profile?
I personally get paid by PayPal, so the commission gets paid to my PayPal account. I believe you can also get it direct deposited into your bank account.
Whichever TikTok account you have connected to the TikTok Shop account is where you will posts from. (it is the account that you have access to the Product Marketplace)

It's a choice, you can choose based on your preference. You can use it to sign up for a different account as well (if you ever want to do that)
