This is a great intro and demonstration of trading using the DOM. Make sure to watch the whole thing. The back half with the live DOM and explanation/commentary is really good.
Please answer that question: you have es.ft and spx500. Spx goes up when people are buying stocks of 500 companies in sp500. So, what fallows what? Your Volume profile orders or supply and demand included in sp500?
Hey thats a good question, not too sure, but you can use a futures DOM and just trade CFDs. I would honestly just stick to futures if not swing trading.
So at the 58.25 down to 56 the sells were still more than the buy cumulative wise. However we bounced there because the limit bids bought up all the selling? And then around 59.50 is when the sellers started to cover there positions with more buying which is evident on the cumulative buying? Is this correct? Thanks
If you see high volume below your reference point (VAL in this example) wouldn’t that usually mean continuation below that level because price has been accepted below it
A very good explanation for the DOM tool. Every Investment Bank and Proprietary Firm trader used that tool beat the market. Thank you for sharing DOM skills.
Thank you so much. This was actually the most interesting thing I've watched on market strategies. At first I was a little confused, but then you showed it in real time, and I got it immediately. Def gonna watch more on what exactly some things mean
We are happy to hear that this video helped you. If you can, share this with a fellow trader to make their journey of understanding the DOM easier as well! Also, don't forget to watch our other valuable trading content!
Hi! These are market orders going sell. Meaning they have a chance to take price lower, the more sellers accumulate at a low and cannot realize the continuation lower, buyers get into the market and start bidding up. This is what creates a stuck short and a buy stop run or reversal in the market.
great video but i have a question. take for example the nasdaq futures. what is nasdaq? the nasdaq is an index, an average of the price of the underlying companies. what moves the nasdaq? the quotations of these companies (as well as the monetary policies of the banks, etc.).. so the question is... if the nasdaq moves based on what composes it.. what do we need to see supply and demand for its derivative? the derivative follows the index. no supply and demand on it. Thanks for the reply
Awesome and very informative video. But as a newbie, it would be extremely helpful if you had a bright arrow pop up pointing to the exact column you are referring to as you're going through each column and explanation. That said, thank you for this info. Very much appreciated!
Thank you so much for this explanation. I do have DOM on my FTMO ctrader platform and have used it with some degree of success as it doesn't look like yours, but I can tell if the buyers or sellers are winning. I have liked and subscribed. This information is extremely valuable.

Watch over and over, just don't see what he is referring to. Moves too fast and my mind cannot see patterns of testing. Wish I could figure out how to use the dom as a tool but sticking to market profile, value area acceptance / rejection testing, use my volume charts to define areas of buying and selling within longer time frame narrative.
The DOM is a difficult tool, if you start with the basics and work on them, you'll get a better idea of what I'm referring to. Its an order flow tool that reflects the VP
Nicely explained, Victorio. Thanks. Clearport is CME's version of a dark pool for block trades - so there are some trades missing from the DOM/footprint.

Good evening, I was curious to know if you've heard of EdgeClear and their trading platform EdgeproX? I'm drawn towards ordeflow only trading and was curious what your thoughts might be on using EdgeProX Advanced DOM vs Jigsaw DT? Sort of a compare and contrast.
Hi, I have heard of EdgeClear as a broker, but that is as far as my understanding goes. I haven't used them nor their platform. Sorry. I know the Jigsaw DOM is good
Hi Peter! This is through AMP Futures (broker) but the DOM itself is made form Sierra Chart. You can customize it there, you can also use Jigsaw that has this exact DOM.
