Thank you so much for these lessons. I just found out about a month ago that I'm Romani so i'm very eager to learn everything that I can, to contribute in keeping my heritage alive.
It's weird, a thousand miles away, me a Marathi speaker finding similarities in Romani. Beshez = Bas बस in Marathi with same meaning - sitting & Vas वस meaning to be living at. Romani seems like a mix of Rajasthani, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi... all western Indian languages. If you dig deep, you may find your roots in Rajasthan, India :)
I injoy all your videos and you translate them excellently . I am English romani chel I have to string my romani words together at times with English to make a sentence. Thank you for making this video and please keep making then. There's no shame for gypsy people who have forgotten words in relearning them . Keep are Romani Language alive. Odel swinsol tut morrow pral

Thanks a lot for this. I was afraid that with romani being mainly a spoken language that I would never have an opportunity of learning it. Now I'm learning and finding out that there's even a romani speaking group in ,y hometown. I'm hoping that with them i can practice! Thanks g!
Congratulations from Brazil. In the city I live there are many Roms. Question: when the guy said his age, did he use Slovak numbers? I think I heard Osm, 8

@@aniketpandey333 You can not claim the Romani, they do not belong to any one country. They originated from India over 1,500 years ago. They may have aspects of Indian Languages (Hindi, Sankrit, Punjabit, etc.) But there is also significant European influence from their travels as the emigrated.
