I’ve never used an android tablet, but it sounds like an interesting device. I can understand why you would like to have the ability to either buy the tablet without the stand, or to switch out the cord on the charging dock, so that you could use it with a battery pack.
Hi Great review of the tablet, I really love it. I’m visually impaired and I’ve seen many of your videos, I love them. I use iPad mostly, but I’ve been using a Huawei MediaPad M5 Light 10 tablet mainly to consume media content, I like android because the personalization, but I don’t like its accessibility with Talkback at all, it’s very slow, and I don’t like that it isn’t optimized for reading continually Web articles and documents, pauses a lot on each paragraph or just stops reading completely. Is it working ok on this tablet, or still the same? Also, I wanted to know, yes, Google Assistant can read Web articles aloud in Chrome, but for any strange reason it doesn’t work in Tablets, I’ve tried it on my Huawei tablet and I’ve also seen a few reports about this feature not working from Galaxy tab S series owners as well, so I’m curious, because it works in any smartphone. Have you tested out in the Pixel tablet? Great video
Hey Carrie, when I click on the Discord link a page pops up saying this invite link may be invalid or expired and to contact you...sorry, I'm really excited to join :)
hi carrie the processor on the pixel tablet is fine"". its the same as pixel 7 phones the issue is with talkback itself, i think. i recently bought a pixel 6 pro during this buggy talkback period and it was painfully slow i nearly gave up on it but then decided to bump my head in the settings a bit more. if you go to talkback settings under advanced settings and click developer options ther is an option called " handel gestures in talkback " i only see this in my pixel phone and it was turned on, turning it off fixed it for me now it runs fine it was missing gestures and what not before. from what i can tell it figures out the gestures in the talkback app and then tells the android system what just happened making it slow i hope it fixes it rat me know if it did, oh also restart the tab after turning the setting off. i had a question but this is already very long phew
Yes I do know about the talkback candle gestures. Times I turned that on and sometimes I turned that off depending on what is happening but unfortunately it just still isn't that great.. Yes they do have the same processor but they still just don't feel or act the same when actually using it. it's weird..
@@carrieonaccessibility it is... and here i thought pixels would be great but my pixel 6 pro is by far the buggiest android phone ive ever used and its convincing me to give up on android i... its really been exhausting ive also never used an iphone so its just a... phew idk why but i saw the reply 5 days ago i swear there wasnt a notification before umm i'll just ask the question too im looking to buy a laptop and i dont know if i should go a touchscreen windows laptop or a chromebook not sure if nvda works with touchscreens like talkback but umm i cant use it without a touchscreen i dont even see light and explore by touch is important. im just gonna do a bit of browsing some typing and use a decent audio recorder like audacity, mm i think linux apps are available on chrome os so audacity could work im just not sure how accessible it will be. im hoping you can help me make a decision :)

Yeah. I'm being too picky but I just am not convinced that it's really worth the amount of money they're charging ...

I'm just trying to imagine you walking around with the Pixel tablet while still attached to the speaker dock lol
I did! I wanted to keep listening to the WAN show.. lol. I think I was also watching the waveform podcast. Tried to watch some avatar on there too
@@carrieonaccessibility That's good. Keep watching Avatar lol
I'm still on episode 5.... Haha
@@carrieonaccessibility I don't know why I expected anything different from you lol
Hi, I am new to this community but I am visually impaired
Hey! Great to meet you. :)
The accessibilities was mediocre at best on the tablet mode, but on hub mode, nonexistent for deaf people, no captions at all 💔🤟🏼
Really?! That's absolutely crazy!
:)
🥰
😂 you have no idea what you're talking about. The dock is excellent for what it is!
We all have our own opinions and that's totally fine. :) I'm glad you lie it.
