- Wow, be careful what you wish for. Before we got to the Valley I asked Annie if we could ride some big rock slabs. Well, I think I bit off more than I could chew here. It had been raining this day and the granite rocks were super slippery.
We start off this ride with a climb, a prey, and an encounter with WA local mtb tuber. @RyanDillonMTB and his crew let us tag along for a fast and loose ride down Full Boar. The bottom section was the highlight for me as it had some really cool rock sections.
We say goodbye to our new mates and head toward Utopia trail. This would have to be one of the most recommended trails around Perth and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a natural style backcountry ride. With amazing views and sketchy rock sections. If you’re a competent mountain biker and love raw trails it’s a must.
Then it gets scary, we start talking to Caine on the trail and somehow convince him to check out the gnarly double black diamond trail Slabs with us. Slabs was unreal and true to its title. It needs to be seen in person to be beloved because as we all know the go pro effect never shows how steep and crazy the trails really are.
Massive shoutout to all the legends in this one for bringing the Stoke!

Great day was cool to run into you with Ryan and the Faffers crew. Those black slabs when wet are scary as. And of the course the gopro effect is bad here, doesnt look near as steep as it is.
