Great video. Thanks. I did this work yesterday on my driver's seat. One thing - if you put the seat all the way back and pull the bottom off the central console, which just takes a small tug, you can get to the otherwise inaccessible screw holding on the left hand trim.
Ordered a replacement peltier and corrugated unit from Klifex 11 days ago ,it has now arrived. I will see how it works when I fit it at the weekend. Hopefully back to having a heated set. Cheers
@@bobthebarsteward The corrugated part did fit OK as mine was cracked, plus my peltier was broken. I broke the connection on the replacement peltier unit and could not fix it, I was a bit heavy handed with the wiring part and it snapped at the joint with the board. I got a replacement peltier from aliexpress which I was more gentle with and that works great.
Great info thanks, just got the same on my 2011 tdv8, strangely cannot find that diagnostics info on my GAP iiD. Have looked into every menu. Will be stripping it down to chec it. Cheers
Excellent video, my R seat (passenger this side the pond) is doing the same - fan will stay on if only the back is selected but no heat outthe back but a few seconds after selecting the bottom the whole seat shuts down. Time to pull out the multimeter and check it out. I've checked the plastic hoses and no cracks. Hoping the peltier just needs replacing.
@@RoughRestos better to replace the $80 peltier from Ukraine than the $300 - $400 unit... I have received said peltier but haven't had the chance to replace it yet - too hot in the garage. Lol. Looking forward to more L322 content!
No worries, sorry i haven't got a vehicle anymore, but as far as i'm aware there are no differences, as long as you get the seat base or back and choose the one for passenger or driver you can't go wrong
I really like your channel but I wonder if I can ask you one thing. I have an IID tool myself and as in this video you showed the relevent temperatures to diagnose the problem. Would you be able to find the time to show how to get to that screen from when the IID tool has started up?
My local mechanic replaced my drivers side, seat (bottom) had a rip. Since the replacement, heat doesn’t work on seat, but cool function does. Would it be best to just buy that used part you took off from the rear of the seat?
I have a 2007 that I am adding the heated/cooled seats and have everything in place, but where is the harness under the seat to plug the module. I have looked under the drivers and passenger front seats. In my 2010 there was a harness tucked under the front passenger seat. Any help?
Do you have normal heated seats? i can't imagine that you will have the harness as the normal heated vs the cooled is a very different setup. but I cannot confirm this
Have you had any experience with fitting 2010 seats into a 2006? I’m trying to retro fit them in atm Rear seats are plug and play all doors cards are plug and play except the front seats 😢
@@RoughRestos I’ve managed to trace all wires back it’s very simple to be fair the only issue is lumbar. But I’m not too worried about that. The base are different but I’ve ordered some universal seat mountings.
Sounds like the system is in fault, do you have a code reader? If not you'll need the GAP IID or an equivalent code reader that can do in-depth diagnostics and live data, else sadly you'll be chasing your tail

Hi mate this isn’t a question to the videos but you might know. Would the 2010 door cards fit a 2006. I like the new look and the buttons seem to all look the same

I hoped it was just the hose with the price of the peltiers :)

You need to establish if it's the base peltier or the back peltier that's causing the issue, does it work if you just select back only?
When you mean “back” is that referring to “cool”?
Cool function works, but heat doesn’t. Based on other videos, I’m guessing the black tube piece is broken
Ohhh back of seat or base of seat… I understand now… base
How did you access the Advanced live data?? I can't find it in the iid tool. I hope you can help. Thank you.
Assuming your tool is registered to your VIN? It's an option as you go into the live data, either simple or advanced
So I was able to replace the plastic “connector” however seat is still not heating (back and bottom)… I might have to buy the peltier and replace?
Have you tested the peltier as per the video?
Unfortunately I don’t have those tools to do the testing
@@RichVonWinkle You can pick up a multi meter for £10, best of checking that's the issue before spending £100 on a peltier :)
