Orientating Parts in Meshmixer

  • Some parts are more difficult to orientate than others - and some even need special tools to make them sit perfectly flat. In this video I walk through how to use meshmixer to set a particular surface of a design to sit flat on your print bed.

    Thank you so much. You help me cut my 3d printing time. I knew there was a way to align the faces down to the ground plane but I couldn't figure it out. New to Meshmixer. Subed and liked.

    Isnt it enough to create one pivot on the flat surface and align that pivot to world-y-space? At least that works for me...

    Hi, thank you-great video :) how can I do?: to move down, only a section from the hinge (closed), that the end of the board is opening 3mm 🤷‍♀️

    Hi and thanks for this tutorial, it's very clear! I have only one problem and I hope you can help me: after following your procedure, when I try to create the overhangs, it doesn't create even one ... normally something generates it. Instead now from 0 connection

      yeah, I have the exact same problem as yours :-( Hence this procedure is useless. BTW orientation of parts in meshmixer is crazy hard!
