Nice find buddy… I grew up in the 90’s and still have a stash of crt sets for gaming and video tapes… I have never came across one of these wide screen sets though.. must be the most rare tvs ever made
I have 3 SD CRTs, a Pacific DVD combo, Curved Widescreen Philips and my recent pickup a Naiko all but Naiko I bought off eBay while Naiko Facebook Marketplace
SD sets are better. When I play a VHS on a SD CRT it looks like a new movie. When I play it on a HD CRT it looks like an old movie. You should have got an SD WEGA. You would only need one tv. The SD set plays everything well but the HD set only play HD well. That SD set probably isn't good enough. I have a WEGA SD 36" and it looks amazing. Its crazy how changing TVs is almost the same difference to changing consoles. My WEGA SD has great "3D" image depth. I playlist virtual boy games and wow. Things actually look like their jumping back and fourth.

We barely kept it from falling. GORGEOUS picture though. I would love to find a 13 or 19 inch one for vintage gaming.
I don't like those HD widescreen CRTs because: the geometry is usually very bad, they have very bad input lag so they aren't usable for gaming, they have poor focus in the pillarbox areas and the dot pitch (physical resolution) is below the video resolution. That HS model only has a physical resolution of 853×1080i.
I just got an RCA Dimensia Stereo Monitor which i read was very high end back in 1987 and very expensive. Its in a perfect working and cosmetic condition and connected my 3DO and looks amazing. What do you think about it or anybody has any opinion about those compared to newer Sony CRT TVs?
@@kylesmoviecollection all good lol I went back to my home town 15 mins away and found my childhood video stores dvd Friday the 13th DVDs was such a cool Find at value village it was a sign from my mom I loved finding it and it’s cool to own childhood memories like that
@@kylesmoviecollection but that’s an amazing tv find I never knew that I remember all my friends had the smaller one in the basement as a kid lots of ps2 nights and Wii sports lol I remember this 2000s show called the Batman it had its own plug in tv video game console it was its own thing from the show it was such a cool thing we played it on a tv like this brings back memories

Nice. I love CRT TVs. I have a 40” Sony HD CRT, it’s 4:3 so it’s great for VHS laserdisc dvd and old TV shows.

HD CRTs will be fine for PlayStation 4, 5 due to native 1080i support, also fine for Blu-Rays
@@smasherjosh5000 HD CRTS have too much lag and bad geometry and low resolution. Buy a VGA monitor and use HDMI to VGA.

Oh yes, those had RGB scart and S-video, which was as top of the line as a TV could get in the 80s
