The monuments are great the Pennsylvania movement does not change what they stand for. In 1889 they were all just dedicated to another location.!Have loved this Series Tim and you’re the right man to do this.
    💯👍👊❤️

I really appreciate these Monuments Monday videos. Thanks Tim and the Adams County Historical Society for producing and sharing them. They provide inspiration for the itinerary for our next visit to the battlefield.

My ancestor Sgt David Alva Barnett was with Company B of the 99th PA. He was from the southern end of York County PA.

Thanks Tim for taking us over to Coster Ave., where I bet not may people visit. You should also do a Monuments Monday from Neill Avenue.

As always, very informative and interesting. Until this series I was not aware that many of the Pennsylvania regiments had placed monuments before they got their allocation from the state. Love the weekly history lesson, Tim!

Thank you, Tim, for adding key historical context to the placement of and changes to each monument. It is easy for history to forget that “it wasn’t always so.”

yes, I can understand why some of the monuments are moved, and it seems like for good reason. The best reason is the National Park service getting more land closer to the actual troop position. I have to agree with the last opinion of the guy who wrote that book in 1886, so I'm glad that was replaced in its original position. I like the statues with the soldiers on top, first one you showed was waving to the cars going by.

Tim - How about starting a 'Shibboleth Saturday', which would consist of videos of information about the battle that is old-fashioned or wrong?

On the white building behind Tim, further down to his right. (We're surprised the cameraman didn't do a quick pan to show it.)
