That is the best coil spring straightening method I've ever seen!
Just as everyone else..... wow... loved the ingenious solution to quickly straightening that coil. I was thinking about using and anvil and a hammer. I was scratching my head when he started up the tractor. My question is... be honest... whose idea was it? Or where did you get that idea?
I've got a few springs that i've been wondering how to work with. Heat and straighten with a hammer and bending jig? But that way it brilliant! I wonder if my lawn mower would do it? The springs i have are 8in by 3in and about 1/4in diameter. I bet my mower would work for those, haha.

I have seen coilspings beeing pulled straight by hand.. firxed steel post and the smith pulling/Walking away pulling with tongs..

When you drop a workpiece at the anvil it is called "drop forging!" Thanks for your entertaining and ground breaking videos.
Auction the axe through eBay to get around raffling, or get a raffle license for future projects. Raffle licenses are quite easy and cheap here in Atlantic Canada (I'm in New Brunswick), but I don't know how it would work in BC. Patreon is a good idea for your channel.

Dude, when I saw the title I thought you were going to try to coil springs inside each other and forge weld it into the stock you needed. I’m glad you took a break from the impossible (though it never stopped you before).
For raffles in Canada you just have to ask the winner a math question. It turns it from a game of chance to one of skill. So whoever wins it, just make them correctly answer a math question like, "What is 4*5 +10 -5 = " and it becomes a skill game and not a game of chance or gambling.

Unrolling the spring worked so easy I would have been worried about the rest of the project

ha tim you forgot to mention something really important, ive seen youve done it to the center punch, but you have to round over the striking surface to prevent mushrooming it over time. i've missed that step on a punch i made and it looked horrible after a year :D

Re Patrion, try looking at it from the side of a customer who loves what you do and would like to support your work. Normally they could do this by purchasing things you make, which would support your buisness. But if the can't afford an axe, they may be a bit stuck. Patrion allows people gives them the ability to help you to spend more time to spend doing video's. If you still don't like this try looking at what you could provide your Patrons...... e.g. early access to video's, goody bags that could have things that you won't be selling on the open market (classic blacksmith give away is something like a bottle opener designed specifically for your Patrons), goody bags with logo stickers, etc.
