This car is a jewel in the crown. In Malaysia it is sold under the brand name Produa Axia and for two people that is me and my wife ! It is a perfect car for city and medium distance (500 km) travelling. It is very comfortable to drive on windy roads. The suspension is amazing for a small car of this size. The economy is excelent ! I get 18 km / liter on city driving and 20.4 km / liter on highway driving averaging a speed of 115 km/hr. By the way I am using the manual transmission. For two of us the power is amazingly sufficent for any road condition. By the way I had owned bigger cars like Toyota Camry, Mitsubishi 2.0 liter, Honda Accord 1.6, Mazda and many more. But this little car had amazed me from the begining. And now I prefer to drive this car around more often.
Nice review! I bought the 5th gen (Cuore L701 - 1999) six years ago when it was 13 years old. Now 6 years later it's still running perfect, not once did it fail on me. Cheap car to own and use, about 2000 Euros per year all-in. Of course once a year regular maintenance, except for the exhaust system (completely rusted) which I replaced with a stainless steel custom made sport system. It was standard on 12 inch rims, but as no good tyres were available for that diameter, I increased it to 14 inch which improved comfort too. The whole car is still free of rust, though I impregnated it with HQ tectyle inside hollow structures to preserve it as long as I can. I love the lack of electronic fuss, even no power steering, ABS, ESP or airconditioning. What's not there, can not break down... In winter sensible driving is key. ;-) My wife's car (Mitsubishi Space Star - 2002) is getting expensive, so she is looking for that latest 7th gen. A small investment to save money over the years on fixed costs, fuel and little maintenance (1200 Euros per year easily).
yes it`s weird they can`t sell this car in europe i bought one in 2008 it`s faster than any of it`s rivals and incredibly reliable i`ve just passed 130000km mark without a single repair or breakdown and i`m going an averidge of 21 km on 1l of fuel i didn`t know anything about Daihatsu when i bought it but i`m deeply impressed i`ve never had a car that was so cheap and still so much fun to drive
Well the mother company is Toyota, so the quality requirements are almost identical. So robust and cheap, it beats European and American car makers by price and reliability
@@Jabboory Not bad. One of the reasons i bought it was actually, that it was less noisy, than the Citroen C1 i tried too. I have now passed 240.000 kilometers, and still it has cost me almost nothing in repairs
Its not based on a 107. Its the roomiest small car on the market, and topseller in Japan. The 3 cylinder engine is a Daihatsu development and is also used in the toyota Aygo ( and Peugeot 107) and Yaris. This engine won the "engine of the year" award in its class 4 years in a row! The car itself earned a 4 star NCAP rating in 2008. I own a 2009 model as a second car, and its a very good car, and it only consumes 1 litre petrol in 20km....
Would be great if Daihatsu could sell cars here in the United States. There are people around here who prefer smaller cars instead of the bigger cars and trucks that we have here.
It's nice to see that Daihastsu still exists in Russia but I'm sad to report that the Japanese firm had recently pulled out of the European market this year (they also pulled out of the UK market since 2011).
i have a daihatsu cuore L700 it is fast and reliable, I am very happy with it! sad thing is daihatsu withdrawl from australia coz everyone here likes big car :(
175/70/R13 tires? That surprises me. The maximum allowed tire size according to Daihatsu in Germany is 165/55/R15, which are fitted on mine. The standard tire is 145/80/R13. Maybe laws are different.
He forgot to mention that the rear seats can move forward to increase the boot space, and then the car literally has a bigger trunk than some *superminis,* including the Toyota Yaris.
Сними пожалуйста видео о какой нибудь практичной машине которую стоит купить на 18 лет которая не дорогая и экономная)) я буду рад!) просто не знаю какую брать нужно что бы на бензин не часто тратился...
Short question, if anyone reads this: I know a Daihatsu Cuore L276 but the dashboard has the speedometer only, but no rev-meter/tachometer. Is this a trim level thing?
Yeah. The basic (called Trend here ) had manual Windows, no central locking, and only the Speedo. The Premium (top model) had the tachometer and power Windows/locks/mirrors.
It's not a matter of opinions, but of facts and they tell a different story because it's simply not based on a Peugeot 107. Of course, you're still allowed to have your opinion

Hello. You say it is perfect for medium distance 500 km. But can i drive it for 900km?

Is it very noisy outside town and on highway?

Thank you bro, I always loved small cars when I was a kid and still love it
@@Jabboory Ofcourse you don`t have the same comfort as in a big and twice as expensive car, but for city driving, and up till 100 kilometers it`s fine
