Hi guys Beth here, It has been pointed out to me that I make a slip up during my review after reaction. I say 'Band-Maid never fail to disapoint' when I meant to say something like 'impress'...I am sorry for the confusion this caused some of you and it wasn't till I went back and watched video I noticed it (clip probably less than 5 seconds - so wouldn't have noticed in edit) I guess sometimes we all mess up 🤣 I love Band-Maid and they probably will never disapoint me👍 The review section is unscripted and I say whatever comes to mind, even if it don't make sense all the time 😁 Love you guys ❤🤘
Welcome back to the world of MAIDIACS ! BAND-MAID's songs are so appealing that after listening to three of them, you won't forget them, and after listening to five of them, they will become your favorites. If, after listening to five songs, you start looking for more BAND-MAID songs, you are in danger. That's because you will fall into the deep hole of MAIDIACS. It's like a black hole, a hole that once you fall into, you can't get out.
One of my friends said, "I like them alright but you can't understand what they're singing". My reply, "Have you ever heard a Rock Song that you couldn't understand all the words"? Crickets Please more Band-Maid. More Lovebites also.
people always esoterically decide they want things in songs that they Never Ever Truly Ever paid attention to...... iTend to notice that "attitude" only by those that only speak Bastardized French , i.e. 'english"......
Hi Beth I only discovered Bandmaid this month. Manners was my “gateway drug”. Since then I’ve been listening to a truckload of their songs. Jan 2021 belongs to Bandmaid.
Wow! You just discovered them with "Manners"?!? You are going to have a great time digging through their back catalog, in that case! Their worst songs are "good" - their best songs are incredible. They don't have a bad song (IMHO).
guiterist and composer KANAMI is a genius. Even a genius is always trying hard to try new songs. Chinese character of her name means a wave of songs. Literally, she wakes up big wave of music all over the world.
7:46 Count me in as part of the Western Audience 😊 When *Miku* and *Saiki* collaborate on lyrics they try to add some popular English word so when they go on tour they like the crowd to participate.
Been through a Manners reaction marathon and yours was easily among the best I’ve seen esp. for an impromptu one. I liked how you took your time articulating all your thoughts well while still keeping it to the point. And yeah BM is quite addictive. Kanami (L guitar/songwriter/arranger) is a musical prodigy and a workaholic on top. For a band that’s just 7 years old they already have around 100 tracks released. And my rock playlist is pretty much dominated by them at around 80 tracks. Very consistent and creative with an insane output rate. She’s still young but she might already be among my fav songwriter of all times.
Thanks for the great reaction and yes these ladies deserve all the recognition they can get. YT channels are part of reason that Band-Maid have been gaining new fans and hope that more and more people will listen and become new fans. As for future reactions, anything from their channel is good, you can't go wrong as all their songs are great.
3:26 lyrics "百聞は一見にしかず" (meaning, if you want to know the essence of things, it's better to see it once with your own eyes than to ask others a hundred times. The lyrics "seeing is believing" The drive isn't cool either. It's ruined. Miku's message is: "Rather than asking others many times and getting lost, find out the truth with your own eyes."
Thank you very much. I think those that have been following them for a while will recognize the story of their journey and declaration of where they are headed from this point, in both the music and lyrics of the song. There are also many Easter eggs in the lyrics and video itself... older songs, MVs, album covers... In the Limited Pressing edition of the album, this song appears on both the “Roots” and “Progress / Evolution” CDs. Once again reinforcing the music and lyrics of the song. It’s a storytelling and message.
You look relaxed and just fine Beth :) I have watched your videos since your fist B-M one and you have definitely fallen into the pigeon hole and look forward to seeing what you do in 2021. On the Live videos, there's a ton of options but they do periodically remove or replace different ones. I'd say you should stay on your own format, but thats the risk that some videos may become unavailable. The good news you know, is the label is very tolerant of reaction videos and its not common to have problems with their videos being uploaded.
Classic rock vibe! Great new song from the ladies! Miku, Ahhh, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah! I saw someone call that the evil Pigeon laugh, could be! Saiki, so good on the main vocals, Take Over The World! Misa and Kanami working so well together! Akane killing the drums, as usual! A Masterpiece!
Band-maid is awesome. In Japan the new album already dropped. And I like listened to the whole album! Have you ever react to the Japanese band name Scandal? If not you should check them out. I can give you some suggestions and links for Scandal songs. I hope you do a react video for Scandal songs soon. I hope you have a great day!
Time for that irrational guy to make an appearance. First things first, a '10'? Imagine that. ;-) Now, for the irrational portion of my comment. The poster over your left shoulder...I kept trying to read it whenever your shoulder or body shifted to your right. You may be wondering "what the heck is he talking about now?" Simple. Ever see someone in a concert T and have the uncontrollable urge to check out the back to see if there are cities listed...and, if so, what's familiar. For me, it was the same kind of thing. Looking for familiar concert venues. I recognized two. Backstage (Werk) from Munich (I've seen more than my fair share of shows at Backstage)...and Essigfabrik in Cologne (Köln) (where I've seen a whopping one show.) I'm not just fascinated by bands and their music...I'm also fascinated by where they perform. It's a quirk. Some might even call it slightly irrational. :-) And while I have your attention, a couple of bands to consider adding to the laundry list of bands/songs to react to... 1. Enemy Inside, I believe you reacted to Phoenix a couple of years ago...they dropped a new single today, "Crystallize". 2. Phantom Elite (lead singer is also in Exit Eden with Clementine from Visions of Atlantis)...they've dropped three singles in the past couple of months and their new album drops next Friday, January 22nd. Might also be worth checking out.
There is no political statement to Band-Maid. I don't think the music video for "Dragon Cry" is their true intention. Miku's lyrics are always rooted in our lives, such as sad love, joy of love, and the will to confront the hearts that are about to break in our daily lives. They call their music "hard rock", but they don't care if it's called "metal". The point is to put what you want to say into lyrics, and if it's cool, everything is fine.
@@bethrobinson94 Hey :) I think, to paraphrase, you said, "BAND-MAID never fails to disappoint," which would mean they constantly fail to fulfil your hopes and expectations. That's a perfectly valid opinion - everyone has their own tastes - I just think we were confused because it went against your reaction otherwise. Good luck with your channel!
@@crabuki1273 yeah just rewatched video, and it was a slip on my front, I meant to say 'never fail to impress' thank you for pointing this out to me as I never intended to confuse people and since that part is unscripted I say whatever without really thinking in the moment 🙂

MISA MISA MISA!
Band-Maid can't do a bad song.
Manners is one of their best songs imo, it's there at the Top-20 list.
The trouble with a top 20 Band Maid song list is most, if not all, end up being number ones.
