The one thing that always makes me angry when watching this show is the fact that they are so mean to Rin for being Satan's son without seeming to realize that since Yukio is his twin he is also Satan's son.
It's probably because Rin shows more demonic features and he uses the blue fire.. it might remind them of their past trauma or how their families died. Anyways I don't understand why Yukio hates him so much like He is a demon also he hides it by giving himself a medicine with a needle

I always thought that it was to show how people believed and acted around that superstition, with "only one child is a demon, it is not possible that both are! And it's also not possible for both to be human!" approach people had in those dark (in a "not enlightened by education" sense) times Edited: I wanted to add that it's kinda reminiscent of similar european superstitions about fae and that they steal/replace children left without supervision, especially if those children were not like their parents or had mutations which further supported their beliefs of supernatural involvement

Izumo is the only one who knew from the very start that he was a demon and to be honest it's no wonder she was not surprised when the others saw it. Even though she is not the brightest person in the class, but she is far from being dumb.. she can easily tell Rin is a demon. As for Yukio i don't understand why he hates his own twin brother, because he just so annoying. He saying "You're a demon aren't you?! You're a danger and you're still is" Like dam if he is a danger then you are too, because you're a demon also. You just hide it with medicine that you needle yourself with. Pretending your human and such lol. Yukio is the character i truly dislike

@@caRto0n_s0uL I love him for his deep insecurities, his tendency to lash out at loved ones. I love how relatable his fears, hopes, hatred is. I love how much he genuinely does LOVE Rin, their complicated relationship. I love that one panel where Yukio says 'I love and hate my brother! But what I hate the most is myself!' I love his fighting style, his battle against his inner demons. I love how he gave up his childhood just to protect/become stronger then Rin. I can ramble on for more but tbh i don't have enough time.
