As a woman and a mother, there is no ignoring it. Just look at dress codes in high schools, look at male teachers who think it's their right to tell 14 and 15 year old girls that their clothing is too distracting for the male students, who think it's their right to force them to change their clothes.. because why? An outfit that covers neck to ankle is too much because the girl is well endowed.. what are they teaching our sons and our daughters with this kind of BS? It happens to girls constantly and then they wonder why our girls have body issues.. this was an amazing message from an amazing girl, thank you for taking it seriously and trying to understand it.

We should be teaching guys not to be perverts. I’m a guy so no one try to go that route. But what about lgbtq students? As usual, schools still act like they don’t exist so by their logic, only straight guys are being perverts? Like why does this only apply to women? Why can guys just pop their shirt off?

She said she made it because now that she's 18 and feels more comfortable in her body if she decided to wear something else for any reason people would "disapprove" or say their disappointed because she changed or sold out or whatever. She was stuck in a place where people were shaming her for wearing those clothes because they were "manly" and people saying they loved her because she was showing young girls they dont have to show everything to be something. So if she wore less to shut down the negative people it would flip the other way. She had to make this to tell people she's wearing what makes her happy and to not use her as an example to shame other artist.
Yeah, you can totally tell that he views her (and always has) the way a dad would look upon his daughter --- like "oh she's a beautiful girl" but in the way he knows his daughter is beautiful and then just moved on to focusing on her voice and talent and lyrics. Like he never *went there* like a lot of men did. Like you said, he was like making "dad comments" and movements the whole time, like he wanted to know and listen to what she had to say but also was totally like "oh she's just a baby. No, don't do that," at first because that's the same way he would react to his daughter doing this type of thing. Billie has not felt comfortable in her body for the longest. Fame comes along with peoples opinions about her which didn't help how she felt about her self. She did not do this to satisfy other people she did this to show that she loves her body now and she doesn't need approval from anyone. She has been body shamed countless times. She has been shamed for wearing a tank top in California during the summer. She is showing the world that she is comfortable in her own skin and the beautiful body that she was born with. She has finally found herself worth and I'm so proud of her.
In my opinion, every woman can relate with what shes saying. Sexism is still so present. It makes us feel trapped in our own body. I'm glad she did the video. It's relevant. If makes people unconfortable, even better. Most women feel unconfortable in their own skin. I know anyone can be body shamed. But just women knows how it feels to be treated like if just your appearance matter, like if we are just something to consume, less human. Objectification: is dehumanizing.
It was originally put together as an interlude for tour, she played it just before all the good girls go to hell where she comes out of the black goo...
Billie has millions of followers, many of them are teenage girls (and boys). Yes, she has dealt with this issue, but I think she made this as a way to get the message out that body shaming in any way is unacceptable towards anyone. There are so many artists or people in the public eye who use sexuality to sell their products; and unless someone tells young (all) people that sexualizing and shaming people for their bodies is unacceptable, a lot of people become desensitized to it and think it’s normal and okay. This film was shown at her concerts on her world tour during an intermission. I think she only performed the first two or three dates before her tour was postponed due to the pandemic but it’s apparent that she felt the need for this message to continue to be put out there despite the postponement of her tour. she started wearing fake nails abd u can just tell by the way she talked about it in interviews and posts that she knew ppl would have opinions about it
I'm so glad Billie made this video. Very empowering message! Though it's sad that so many people aren't understanding the point and they're continuing to sexualize her. She's very obviously talking about how she's objectified by her body and people only care about the fact that she took her shirt off. Billie is trying to prove something, and it seems like now people are just encouraging the behavior that she's fighting against. A true shame for a video with such an important message.
The problem isn't the trolls (and they won't go away btw). Men in power, people she works for, will try to control her appearance, her clothes, her behavior, to make her a product the public wants according to old concepts of how a woman should be. And every woman goes through this. A friend of mine got fired because she washed her hair before going to work and didn't blow out her hair dry. Her boss (a man) harassed her in front of her coworkers, asking the name of the motel she came from (to him, if she was at home, her hair wouldn't be wet) and saying the company doesn't take sluts 'cause she'd make a bad impression w the clients w them knowing she'd go to work straight from a motel. He gave her a very strong sexual connotation and was convinced she was at a motel only because her hair was wet. I mean, in order to have a job she'd have to fulfill the expectations that guy has about how a woman should look and behave plus know that she doesn't have the permission from a random male to have a normal sexual life. If you have sex like any adult person, you don't deserve a job and gets to be humiliated. If you're a teen, teachers and principals will stare at your body, like that american girl that was force to jump to the teachers and the principal because the adult males in the school noticed she wasn't wearing a bra, so they checked how much her breasts would bounce, making sure her movements didn't make her look like a slut. (...) It's not just people making assumptions. Women are violated in many ways, everywhere, by everyone, all the time. We lose jobs, we are expelled from schools, we are beaten up at home and outside of our home, we end up in porn sites... All because of these assumptions about how we look. I wish the problem was just stupid trolls...
i don't think Billie would ever allow that. yes, her management controls parts of her career but it's for her own good because Billie is still young, she kinda has a big mouth that can get her in trouble unless somebody tells her "no no". but i really don't think she would allow anybody to control what she wears, what she looks like and stuff like that.
@@Isoscel lucly, she seems to work with decent people. But she being young and needing guidance, that's for her parents and a psychologist to help her with and not for her boss to control. There's a big difference between these two things.
I've seen a few of your reactions and I think the mood a person is in prior to a video affects a lot their reaction and sometime people don't realise they're not in the right mood to react to something, so my point is: congrats for jumping so quickly from your fun mood at the beginning to getting serious and respectfully paying attention and discussing the message of the video :)
I loved when the guy on the right says he doesn't want her to take her shirt off and the video immediately asks if her shoulders and chest provoke the viewer. I wish he had picked up on the irony because she was definitely saying something to people who reject her body because it makes them feel uncomfortable!
Good video, Please do Billie Eilish “all the good girls go to hell” it’s from her new album and seen as part 2 for bury a friend....another song from her new album is “xanny”
She started at 15. Imagine the industry trying to influence her to wear less during her first EP and tour. An underage child. Every girl you know will tell you about the first time she was sexualized. Most of them will tell you it happened when they were 13-16. It changes how you look at men and people. Girls and women tear you down when you feel sexy and pretty. Guys...change how you look at yourself for the rest of your life, the first time a man your father's age tries to wolf whistle and pick you up at 13.
Please react to her song "I love you." A couple days ago, I was recording a kind of podcast with my friends about beauty standards, and we were saying exactly that. People are always going to find a way to talk shit about you, so you just need to worry about if you like it being the way you are or not. That is your decision, and no body elses.
She is making a statement for all girls and women. Our worth should not be judged on how we look or don't look. Our society has created gender norms that are institutionalized and reflected in our culture (music, movies, fashion).
For me this video really connects to me on a school based level. Yes I do believe there should be a dress code just for overall repsect (not having you butt hang out your pants or boobs just everywhere) but for me the dress code is nealry 80% based on womens bodies. No shoulders, no shirts that shape and show off clevage (no matter the size), no shorts or skirts a certain length etc. School is the prime time, espeically at a young age, to teach buys repect about womens bodies. Granted its not just guys but I have been told by male admisistration that my shoulders at the age of 15 provoke him and other boys so I had to cover up. I do believe that because of the dress code we get sexualized, like shoulders? Cool we all have shoulders, just because we have to cover them doesn't mean that they are hot. I love Billie, she is so strong and a beautifully tallented young woman who is challenging people on new different level that relates to her audience. She is the voice for us who's voice isnt heard because of the platform she has made. Her story in the media is showing a disgusting side of social media. I remember seeing a post literally headlined, "Hidden hot body shown off on Vacation" when she was 17 years old, A YOUTH being sexualized in the news for literally having boobs and wearing a freaking bathing suit. That is beyond disgusting! This video is the voice for so many who don't have theirs heard and what makes me sad about it is that people (mainly social media outlets) are going to say how empowering it is (which it is) but have a history and a future of being hypocrites.
we are too judgmental and ready to grasp the other's “defects”while we are not used to finding the qualities. But our worth does not depend on other people's opinion, only ours counts . Nice reaction👏🏻
I think she’s one of the first artists in a long time that is of the younger generation that isn’t following the “sex sells” movement. Even though this society is full of inclusivity and all the people saying “ be yourself “ everyone is the same. Haters will hate. Trollers will troll. She makes incredible music. She’s an incredible person. Through and through. Just when I think she couldn’t get any better, she does something like this. And SLAYS it.
Looking forward to you guys reacting to some of her new music, I saw your initial reactions to her music back around April 2020 I think and came back to your channel to see if you'd done a reaction to the Happier than Ever video yet
Thank You so much for reacting to this one!! It's such an important message! Especially to younger and unshure people - just be Yourself!! If You're still up to a new Billie Eilish song I highly recommend 'ilomolo' - the Visualizer video!! Also the Rob Dickinson cover 'The End Of The World' is so well done by her and her brother!! I am sooo addicted to these two magical haunting songs and kept it playing over and over again since weeks!! And I would LOVE to see You react at least to one of those songs, discuss the meaning and find the message between the lines!! So please enjoy!! ;-) Greetings from a german Metalhead (who's open to good music as much as You two cool guys are!!)
Really enjoy your reactions for Billie. Please react to I Love You live at the Greek theater. Also, have you seen Hostage? That's a good one--very artistic.
I think it's really important to also note that she's not only saying how she and everyone else should dress how they like without judgement, but also addressing how some people compliment her for being more "conservative"; people saying things like "oh I'm so glad Billie doesn't wear skimpy clothes, it's refreshing to see someone young not being slutty for once", which is something I've seen wayy too much. As if you can't be artistic or say something worth listening to if you're wearing a short skirt. Yet if you don't show your skin off you must be insecure and not womanly enough. I appreciate how Billie shuts down any and all types of judgement in this video.
Idk if you meant that the spiders were edited but they weren't. Anyway, she is so well put and confident for her age. I was trying to not give in cause I thought she was a "phase" but I am so glad I gave in. I am a good 15 years her at and I am inspired by her, and I am amazed by how well spoken and how artistic she is.
Another great reaction from you guys. I love Billie. I think this video has such a great message. People judge each other way too much and it's sad. And the fact that she's just a kid and people are body shaming her or wanting her to dress a different way is just wrong on so many levels. If you guys haven't already, please react to hostage by Billie. The video alone is so captivating I couldn't look away and tells a story all on it's own. But her lyrics tell a good story as well. I think you guys would like it.
This is such a powerful video. Love her sm. She actually premiered this at the first concert of her current world tour (now postponed until 2021 for obvious reasons). Now I recommend you to react to "all the good girls go to hell" and "copycat". This second one specialy if it's live. I think thats the most metal-like performance you can hear from Billie :)
Great Video i really like your content and your thoughts on the content but the audio was a bit crackled up. I dont know if that is just my phone messing it up or if someone else also noticed it.
i love how you guys got soo uncomfortable! lol in a good way because maybe that's what she was trying to do, make people uncomfortable take a pause and THINK about it.
Honestly whatever she said in her song, I've felt it has a deeper meaning and emotions she'll spoken. But I respect her what message she responds to us. Lets support her what music she composed and never discreminate this beautiful woman. Anyway good to know what you guys react and give opinion when its come to music. Please do reaction to the Metal Music that I listen too like PSALMS and COLLAPSE by War Of Ages, BACK TO LIFE by Ends With A Bullet and TIME by Wintersun. THANK YOU ^^
She posted a picture of her on a beach in a bikini, that picture got a lot of hate. I believe this is her response. Very well done imo. But I believe that’s why she posted this. Kind of a ‘mind your own business’ thing. So she provokes them more, just to say ‘fuck you’. Good message tbh.
She really started dressing in her awesome unique style because she was insecure and because she was a minor, she went to hawaii(shes 18 now) and was at the beach in a bikini and people were body shaming here for wearing a bikini to the beach.... hmmm weird wearing a bikini to the beach.🤔
the only "revealing" video i've seen from her trip is the one where water is dripping down on her from a shower or whatever it was. she's at the beach, the hell is she supposed to wear? these people are so annoying.
Hi guys. Please do a reaction of a group called Of Mice & Men, full live concert 2017 on Hellfest. Just watch the live concert or some of it. The band had a lot of changes and I find recently they sound pretty good.
As a 60 yr old woman who has had body image issues all of my life, I can't decide if this sticks 2 fingers up, or plays into their hands. Perhaps a bit of both? I can't help wondering if making an issue of it, makes it more of an issue? (If you see what I mean.) Not sure, but maybe the best way to shut people down is to shut off most of the fuel that stokes their fires - so neither over-reveal nor over-cover. Leaving the music at front and centre stage, which is where it should be as she really really is unique and talented. Ultimately though, it's her body, her choice.
We're both saying exactly the same thing here. Or, at least, that is what i was trying to spit out in the discussion up there haha. Thanks very much for watching and commenting!
Good reaction! =D If you want more music that is diffrent you should react to twenty one pilots. All their music is written and created by the vocalist Tyler Joseph Durden. And they only make music they would listen to themselves, and don't care for the million dollar companies that tries to make all music the same. Will subscribe the moment you start reacting to twenty one pilots. And if I should reccomend a starter song it would be "Ode to sleep" og "Lane boy". Thanks so much for your reactions! Stay good and healthy! Love from Norway!
I don't agree with the idea of not making the video as it validates those perspectives. I think if someone has a stance, they state it and anyone who wants to bring up the subject, you just refer them to the statement. With this video, the media is going to have a harder time shaming her. Also, you know there are probably half a bagillion buckets on youtube willing to spout off on their oh so important to themselves opinion on her look. Now pissed off fans don't need to argue in the comments against shaming her. They just need to provide a link to the video and they can get shamed right back.
It's not about her stripping for you shes tryna spread a meaningful message and I think some of the older/younger people dont get that. And shes 18. She played this at a concert of hers and they were so excited to see her body you couldnt even hear what she was saying. It was sad.
She is fine ,teens have worn over large clothes . That was me as a teen . Not all like to feel sensual some are uncomfortable with their body changing. It is all good.
I like your view on what this is about, but the whole «don’t take it off, you’re going the wrong way» thing is part of the problem. It’s the judgement about what she does with her own body that’s the problem. The video also feels like a message to the people who needs it, women who are judged. Not just the trolls
The problem is certain clothing being made. THEN people wearing said clothing makes them look - inappropriate. I can't say what you said is true, Sporto. I've been disrespected, usually via bullying, since I was in 7th grade. It got worse when I entered high school through graduation. After some time away from it ('kinda,' as it did still happen but not near as much), it started again when I started using social networks. I will not tolerate people claiming/insisting they know me 'so well' when they don't know me at all. I won't tolerate people twisting my words. People reply disrespectfully and all it does is get others to 'join the party.' At least on Facebook I can hide such comments, but Twitter doesn't offer such an option. TH-cam thinks it's funny to not offer such an option. It's worse here on TH-cam. As one example, I've even gotten it right here on this channel. I comment MY PREFERENCE(S) of a video you two react to, or even a video Bowser and either/both Aubrey/Jackson react to, and someone has the nerve to start with me - over MY PREFERENCE(S) - or they just rip on me personally. I refuse to let such crap remain without replying. Some time ago, on another reaction channel, I had someone start with me and I messaged the channel owner on Facebook about it. At the time he was away from home and said he'd check on it when he got home. He did, but only deleted some of the comments that disrespected me, leaving a couple or so of the comments including disrespect against me - simply because there were "valid points" in the comments he didn't delete. ARGH I respect peoples right to Freedom of Speech, but there are laws against certain forms of disrespect.
Any political ranting about Billie or hateful comments towards Billie here will be removed, and or banned from the channel. We don’t need that here.

I agree. It’s so sad :(
The problem isn't the trolls (and they won't go away btw).
Ouch she should sue the company for what they did to her.
@@Dark_eVader she did. And she won.
@@lurodrigues817 Good for her.
i don't think Billie would ever allow that. yes, her management controls parts of her career but it's for her own good because Billie is still young, she kinda has a big mouth that can get her in trouble unless somebody tells her "no no". but i really don't think she would allow anybody to control what she wears, what she looks like and stuff like that.
5:02 those spider that came out of her mouth was real she said that in a intervieuw.
Kristina Budaiova I’ve been saying that once or twice I gave up! My daughter Lilith loves that song and her lol!!
Yessssss!!!!!
Please react to her song "I love you."
A couple days ago, I was recording a kind of podcast with my friends about beauty standards, and we were saying exactly that. People are always going to find a way to talk shit about you, so you just need to worry about if you like it being the way you are or not. That is your decision, and no body elses.
Love her.
she’s my person, thank you for actually taking the time to analyze and give different perspectives, we need that more from other generations
This is played during her tour which was unfortunately postponed.
Totally cool production and I'm glad to see your reaction to this. Those are pretty solid advice you've been giving Sporto!
You guys should react to her carpool karaoke with James Corden!
Did already and youtube blocked it worldwide
@@BowsersreactionPit booo that sucks
Thank you both for your intelligent discussion of her film.
Love you guys, great video!! 💙💙
This video was first shown on her tour, this is where that video is originally from.
we are too judgmental and ready to grasp the other's “defects”while we are not used to finding the qualities. But our worth does not depend on other people's opinion, only ours counts . Nice reaction👏🏻
I love everything about her! She is a beautiful human!! 💚❤🔥
This is using her clothes to shame others.
So please enjoy!! ;-)
Greetings from a german Metalhead (who's open to good music as much as You two cool guys are!!)
This video was supposed to be played at the end of her concerts. Because the tour is cancelled she decided to put it out on youtube
another good video
weird comment but saw the beverage in the beginning and wanted to suggest Watermelon Bai Water! really good.
Here's a taste of copycat: th-cam.com/video/SxoRryWApic/w-d-xo.html
Do hostage its really good
Great Video i really like your content and your thoughts on the content but the audio was a bit crackled up. I dont know if that is just my phone messing it up or if someone else also noticed it.
Mine was crackly too when they spoke. Mic issue maybe?
Billie just dropped a new song and video called "My Future" please tell me y'all have a reaction coming
No body was in any doubt that she chose her clothes and I think that's the point
yeah
i love how you guys got soo uncomfortable! lol in a good way because maybe that's what she was trying to do, make people uncomfortable take a pause and THINK about it.
try out xanny by billie eilish , thats positive as well
Honestly whatever she said in her song, I've felt it has a deeper meaning and emotions she'll spoken.
THANK YOU ^^
Guys! Pls do Happier than ever from the new album, I'm soooo excited to see hoy you feel about it. Xx
Can y’all react to her signing I love you live at Greek theater?
If you like billie you should definitely react to Melanie martinez!!
Slaughter to Prevail - Demolisher
All the Good Girls Go to Hell by Billie Eilish... Please...
ty for saying “not just women” because there are so many other genders that are feminine now.
Man you should react to BAND-MAID I'm sure they definitely kick your ass up hahahahha

Can you please try reacting to Intolerant's Blunt Force Trauma. Thanks.

Love your Billie reactions. Please check out her live performance:
Billie Eilish - ilomilo (Glastonbury 2019) Thanks.
Can u do a reaction of philippines 90's band named " Rockstar - Parting time " thanks..^^

It's not about her stripping for you shes tryna spread a meaningful message and I think some of the older/younger people dont get that. And shes 18. She played this at a concert of hers and they were so excited to see her body you couldnt even hear what she was saying. It was sad.

I like your view on what this is about, but the whole «don’t take it off, you’re going the wrong way» thing is part of the problem. It’s the judgement about what she does with her own body that’s the problem. The video also feels like a message to the people who needs it, women who are judged. Not just the trolls
any reaction video to marcin patrzalek?

ARGH
I respect peoples right to Freedom of Speech, but there are laws against certain forms of disrespect.
