I spent a few hours here on my way down to the bay area from the San Juan Islands. I bought a season pass but it's likely to end up just being a Magic Mountain season pass come the fall when I'm in SoCal. I got 4 credits in those couple hours (Joker, Medusa, Superman, Cobra), and nothing else was open coaster wise. The only credit I'm missing in that case is the freespin and I don't know how much I care about that knowing I've ridden one and I'll likely have the chance to go back next summer. I mean I'm the same distance from Santa Cruz currently and quite simply, that place is run a lot better and there are more things to do for "besides the rides". When comparing this park to CGA it's sad CGA is the one on the chopping block. Discovery Kingdom might have a better top 3 (well Joker is better than anything at CGA, Medusa vs Flight Deck is close but I think I'd give Medusa the edge, Gold Striker is probably better than Flash (the oddball comparison because no contemporary at the top of the lineup) and Flash hasn't been open all year. Joker vs Railblaizer is really what decides the park with a better top 3) but Great America is just run so much better. I hope they reconsider what park to sell off and just give Great America Joker. The real looser of the merger and Prologis is bay area enthusiasts in the long run.
I agree the other NorCal parks were better operations-wise. Hopefully with the part Cedar Fair management, Discovery Kingdom could be better managed but that’ll take a couple years at least.
@@808CoasterLife Cedar Fair owns Knott's. Let's not forget what that place was like recently (down 3 coasters including a headliner, and on top of that an ACE landmark which is still down and won't deserve its landmark status if it ever reopens. That's arguably worse than being down a few common clones and a headliner that's only a headliner because of height restrictions). And the whole Top Thrill 2 situation, which is too close to the merger to blame Salim for.
I love having this park as my home park. Glad you and Carrick got to come visit!
Yeah I’m glad I got to experience this park!
This is my home park, and yeah it's in need of a reboot
Yeah, at least the coaster lineup is pretty good
did u guys got the general parking or preferred parking?
We got preferred parking due to a season pass deal
Nice Video
Thanks!

Pretty sure the only slc and boomerang i ever rode were at this park
I rode 2 boomerangs prior to this visit but still no SLC lol
I didn't even know there were 2 six flags parks in California 💀💀💀
The more you know!
Their is nothing at this park to be running for 😂
Especially considering Joker and Medusa weren’t open yet
We also tried avoiding lines lol
