Awesome you saved the hubcaps! I collect them too! Most old ones aren't reproduced so once they are gone they are gone! Grab what you can! Stainless artwork!
So many guys go into collections like that and talk about how great it would be to save this and that, but you went in and actually saved 1-3/4 boatloads of cool stuff. Mint!
Went through this with about 150 cars last fall. Hard to believe that the crusher pays better than most collectors want to pay, but it's a fact. Saved a few, but plenty of drama.
Dodge Raider is a badge engineered Mitsubishi Pajero, like the dodge stealth is a badge engineered mitsu 3000GT among others (dodge conquest - mitsu starion, etc etc etc there were lots) @34:00 now. such a sad sight. That '54 ford didnt deserve to have its story end there. Loads of old cool cars just wasted. Too bad.... Really too bad. I would have made the trip from Langley, BC had I known. Congrats on your AMAZING deals from snagging those old beauties. Well done man.
Watched the whole thing in one sitting then literally had “crushening” nightmares all night. Glad you were able to save some. That mid 60s Pontiac stung a little. Hit a little too close to home, I saved a 64 Parisienne. Happy you saved that crx though, they’ve gone way up in value and demand lately
Hahaha I have nightmares about it too so you’re not alone. I’m with ya on the Parisienne, if I was collecting convertibles I woulda grabbed it but because I’m not restoring them they are always roached and don’t have that look that I like
Its sad to see collections like this get scrapped. Yards like this don't exist anymore. Those old cadi values are going way up, ive had a few in the last 5 years.
Dang those Atari games and 8 tracks can be worth a lot. The 50’s Fargo and 70’s d100 adventure dodge pickup were both super solid and way too nice to get crushed. There were so many cool cars and trucks that just got scrapped which is very sad. Those first gen civics and 200sx were great part cars.
Dang, you explore so many cool car hoards! And I'm jealous of the car museum you're collecting, I want your Fuego so bad lol I miss living in berta land for such interesting collections around. If you're game I will give you my name number and an e-transfer guarantee to buy any Plymouth Crickets that you may come across! I've got a 72, was my first car but of course it needs parts and metal for it so parts cars are clutch!
Thank you! The Fuego will actually be available in the next few months, I’m selling a bunch of the vehicles in my collection with value beyond lawn art so I can spearhead the Megamini for next years SEMA Show. And yes that’s no problem, although I did just have to google what a Plymouth Cricket even was lol
I could see that for sure. Not my style with the auto but probably could have found it a good home and put a couple bucks towards paying off my purchase in the process. Oh well at least I saved a bunch that would have otherwise been crushed, can’t cry over spilt milk
I don't know the context but it would seem stupid to crush all those cars when you could sell all of it at 10 percent over scrap value and make a killing
It all comes down to time and effort. You would have to pay an auction house to come in and go unit to unit selling it all which isn’t a bad way to go either but they chose this route for the ease of it all
It hurts a lot seeing all these old cars getting crushed, so many good looking cars, so many parts, at least you saved some of them and got someone to save more. what hurts though even more is seeing so many of the cars just partially crushed at same time. so close to have being saved. And also unnecessary to crush or damage so many cars at one time.
@ that would be awesome!! I asked about photo documenting the Corvair four door a little while ago but I’m in Calgary! My buddy and I are beginning to rescue cars here and there and put them back on the road, we love doing it! Recently we have snagged a ‘73 Matador sedan and ‘68 Pontiac Strato Chief sedan!
Thank you! I was pretty happy for sure, and it gets some cash in the collectors hands that he wouldn’t have had otherwise so it’s a win win as far as I’m concerned
The raider may have been saved by Saving Classic Cars but the 3 civic along with everything else in and around that field was crushed unfortunately (as far as I know)
Those ones you mentioned is all you see on Woodward. To be honest it’s getting old only seeing Chevelle’s Camaros Beaumonts 57 chevys gto’s impalas challengers, and chargers mustangs there were indeed other cars and trucks back in the day that were cool. But because everyone thinks the ones mentioned are the only ones that are worth saving nobody is willing to try to save anything else personally I have been thinking about Buicks and Pontiacs
Are there any white 1976 Cadillac Eldorado's in there??!?!?! I ask because I had one stolen from me back in 1998. I still have the title and have been looking for it ever since!! Please!! It was my Grandmother's car which we inherited!! It has the factory CB Radio Package. Very rare option by my understanding which should make it easily identifiable.
It's like my 2000 Dodge Ram it could use a new bed it looks good but it's frame rails underneath rotting away but I need technically an 8-ft not good but that bed right there was worth a lot of money i'm a couple thousand bucks you know what I mean
when you spin your camera round for dramatic affect...we can only see blurry stuff wiping across the screen. Can I emphasize a slow pan with that handheld device. they don't like panning L/R very fast...and as a potential THUMBS UP, I can say NOT
I’m not doing it for dramatic effect I’m just showing you what I see and I generally move pretty fast, but I am trying to get better. No problem if you don’t want to leave a thumbs up, the algorithm gives me more points for comments than for likes anyways so your comment is more valuable, so thanks!
Sorry bout that, I’m better than last year and still getting better. My adhd has me living in fast forward and I usually film what I’m looking at, so if anything it’s at least bringing you POV into my mind lol
This video made me smile and it got you a new sub if that means anything to you.
Hell yeah Johnny every single person counts in a world of bots and paid fake subs so thank you
Awesome you saved the hubcaps! I collect them too! Most old ones aren't reproduced so once they are gone they are gone! Grab what you can! Stainless artwork!
Hell yeah dude gotta save them!
Awesome job saving some gems
That red crew cab at 1:36 was definitely worth some money. Wish you had saved that one. But I’m glad you at least saved the blue one.
So many guys go into collections like that and talk about how great it would be to save this and that, but you went in and actually saved 1-3/4 boatloads of cool stuff. Mint!
Haha thanks Matt appreciate it
I’m glad you and i were able to save as many as we could bud!
The Ford Zodiac and Bedford van! Thanks for saving these!
Went through this with about 150 cars last fall. Hard to believe that the crusher pays better than most collectors want to pay, but it's a fact. Saved a few, but plenty of drama.

The bronco would have been a keeper they are worth good money even in bad shape. 78/79 easy 10g when pretty rusty
The zephyr and Bedford are few and far between now in 🇬🇧, some nice stuff you saved.

UUUGGGHHH! The crew cab Fords!
Its sad to see collections like this get scrapped. Yards like this don't exist anymore. Those old cadi values are going way up, ive had a few in the last 5 years.
At weather in the nature? Its not a collection .
@jonathasfigaro4992 yea, it is a collection. The guy spent most of his life collecting all this stuff.
There’s more than you think. Just hidden away.
The beginning was so up beat, then came THE CRUSHNING & it kinda hurt my soul!
Me too man, me too
Awesome job saving that much! Fun video too
Thank you! Feels good to do a small part even lol
Crew cab ford truck!! Ok now I wanna be your friend lol, show me the way!
Any good 73 ford long boxes? Camper special? 67 galaxies? 52 Chevy deluxe?
Hell yeah can’t have too many friends lol. I come across stuff all the time, are you Alberta local?
Well there’s no way I could ever work for a salvage yard. 1; I’d want to save everything and 2; I don’t have it in me to crush them.
I had a long time ago a red Honda CRX Si like the one in Minute 2:20...it ran like hell and was so much fun. They are Hard to find in Germany nowadays
Dang, you explore so many cool car hoards! And I'm jealous of the car museum you're collecting, I want your Fuego so bad lol

I died when he said the plate was from newfoundland if the vehicle stayed here she would have been completely rotted by now
Damn you passed on a lot of good cars, that Nissan 200sx turbo is fairly rare and valued to s chassis enthusiasts
I could see that for sure. Not my style with the auto but probably could have found it a good home and put a couple bucks towards paying off my purchase in the process. Oh well at least I saved a bunch that would have otherwise been crushed, can’t cry over spilt milk
You need to make Calendars with her n other Girls with your vehicles n sell them n get all you money back n alot more 😂😂😂
I don't know the context but it would seem stupid to crush all those cars when you could sell all of it at 10 percent over scrap value and make a killing

20K each to put back on the road and a lot of work but when new cost 50K it's still a deal.
That’s a very good point
I would love to be there doing that with you. It's totally awesome.
Would love the ford truck bring back many memories
Personality like Dean from coldwarmotors
Gutted for your Texaco truck too by the way, it was such a neat style that got smucked :(
It hurts a lot seeing all these old cars getting crushed, so many good looking cars, so many parts, at least you saved some of them and got someone to save more.

the dodge is on an adventure to the shredder
Darn! That Gran Torino, Royal Monaco and Maverick would have been ones I would’ve scooped up! 😢 wish I had known about this!!
Well shoot are you local? We could stay in touch about any hoards getting scrapped and you could be another round of reinforcements if so
@ that would be awesome!!
Oh man this is like when they crushed Christin
Well more history disappearing those old trucks😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Fella you got a SWEET deal on your 18 veihicle averaging $720 a piece 👍👍
Thank you! I was pretty happy for sure, and it gets some cash in the collectors hands that he wouldn’t have had otherwise so it’s a win win as far as I’m concerned
That Dodge Raider was a rebagded Mitsubishi.
In aust that 4wd sitting next to the crx it is a nolden jackaroo with a isuzu petrol or diesel engine 2.0 petrol 1.8 diesel
did the vw van get saved?
It did! Jay snagged it before the crusher did
Parts sell for quite a lot. Don’t crush old cars.
the lada at 6:15 is really rare, such a shame its been crushed
Fun video
Thanks Skeeter, awesome name btw
Was there any square bodies though?
This place is a goldmine!
was... now they are cubes
Good on you
What did you do with the Delta 88?
I still have it. If you’re local I would consider selling it to a good home
@warwickandrews I wish I was closer. How are the floors and frame? I'm in Ontario and everything here rusts to nothing.
Are you selling any , not many finds like this anymore
Did anyone save the three honda civic's or that Dodge Raider
The raider may have been saved by Saving Classic Cars but the 3 civic along with everything else in and around that field was crushed unfortunately (as far as I know)
grab the fj belly fairing hard to find
Scrap prices are good scrap them all i didnt see one good. Car like chevelle. Or beamont or nova or gto. ❤
Those ones you mentioned is all you see on Woodward. @
Stick with your renalts then
The only thing that I would like is the Ford pickups.
Gold 65 Olds Starfire got crushed... sad.
i had 1 of those in 73. aluminum v8 4v. i out ran a 72 nova. that little mother would honk.
Are there any white 1976 Cadillac Eldorado's in there??!?!?!

If there was it was crushed :3
Snooze you lose.
Didn't the Rust Bros guy stop here on the way back from Indy?
Nope not this one. They did stop by the place my last auction hoard video was at though
We should make it illegal to destroy classic cars. If they are already in the worst condition the could be used a parts for other cars
It's like my 2000 Dodge Ram it could use a new bed it looks good but it's frame rails underneath rotting away but I need technically an 8-ft not good but that bed right there was worth a lot of money i'm a couple thousand bucks you know what I mean
Wait....so whatever you don't buy get's crushed?!?!?! Give me a list of whatever you don't buy so that maybe I can save a couple!! Please!!
Sorry dude it’s allllll goooonneeee
Как там оказалась наша русская жигули шестерка😮
Always call coldwarmotors lol

Haha this place was pretty hidden but yeah no idi’s that I saw
Your camera work is kind of jerky ...but interesting
Sorry bout that, I’m better than last year and still getting better. My adhd has me living in fast forward and I usually film what I’m looking at, so if anything it’s at least bringing you POV into my mind lol
Unwatchable without Dramamine.
Hahah I’m trying to get better holding the camera still but for now you’re in my ADHD POV which is always shifting
Crew cab ford is kinda valuable.
