With the new format the hardest is the geotechnical depth because it has more manuals and references than any other displaces

I was preparing to take the Construction exam but thanks for diverting me back to Environmental (which was my 1st choice and Geo has always been my 2nd)

I took the Construction focused exam. Never again.

What are your tips for why you'd do it or not do it?

I want to take the P.E. in Oct, I am hoping to take the final pencil and paper exam; my issue is, I want to take the structural depth, but I don't have all the resources they require and I do not want to buy the resources since the state I reside in doesn't use those (they are out of date codes). I spoke to my employer, but he agreed on not purchasing the resources since they are out of date. What would you say for someone in that situation? Wanting to take a specific depth, but not being able to get all the reference materials? Think about taking a different depth exam?

I'd beg, borrow, buy, whatever is needed to get them. You can also review what Scribd.com has as well. If you find you can't find your resources that they require then I might consider a change, but that's a tough call.
