Charlotte Tilbury’s shade selection has its place for sure.. I interpret in a courtroom setting, I’ve been a therapist in a prison hospital... I can’t see myself ever having gone to work with anything other than bare or neutral eyes.
I am a green person and I could never use those tones without looking ill 😩

This is going to sound kinda weird but to help with dry patches on my face from foundation, I actually mix a more hydrating/liquidy primer with my foundation. Not only does it help with dry patches but it also has a nice dewy finish and if you want it can be your own diy skin tint without having to buy one

It’s not that weird- people have been making diy tinted moisturizers for years by mixing their moisturizer with their foundation, although I’ve never thought about it with a primer

This is the best compliment lol
The tower blush is best used just with your fingers warming it up and dabbing it on with your hands; however, it disappears after 30 minutes and changes texture after like 5 uses. Not worth the money
In Canada that CT Eye palette is $95...and there is no way I can justify that price. Sorry, Hannah, I am off to dupe land instead.

Yes to the $100 starter makeup video! Mixed feelings about her now, but I used to pick up products that Tati recommended in similar videos so often. I still think the elf Mad for Matte eyeshadow palettes are one of the most underrated products of all time!

Brow gel recommendation: take any spoolie and a tiny bit of the Got 2b clear styling gel ( found in the hair product section of the drugstore) and brush through your brows, i promise it'll hold for over 24 hours!!!!❤

I have only tried one "luxury" makeup item. I LOVED it so much. It was the Dior Addict lip maximizer in a nudeish glittery color. When it ran out and I tried to replace it, the shade was discontinued. I settled for another shade and still really liked it, just not as much as that first shade. This was like 6 years ago if not longer. The person who helped me find the product to replace said that it was a seasonal shade and will come back. It never came back. Now they have a shade similar but not the same name so I'm sceptical.
Hannah praising the CT palette reluctantly was me when I realized how much I love the ND Circo Loco palette. Like shit that's steep but it's so good.

Literally the only lip gloss I've found that isn't sticky/grainy/generally horrible feeling is the Lunar Beauty one. The formula is soooo nice

CVS is a pharmacy/chemist/apothecary depending on what terminology you use! I know some countries find it weird when we call them "drug stores." 😅
CVS is a pharmacy and a mini-supermarket in one 😆. Walmart is a whole different demon, is a giant variety store that caters to people looking for lower cost items, depending on the item they may also be lower quality than other U.S. retailers

It’s only Thursday here...I got excited for a minute but my hopes and dreams were dashed when I realized it’s still only Thursday for me.
I saw a video where Amy Loves Makeup tried the Tower 28 blush and when she opened her brand new one it also had the weird bumpy texture so you are definitely not the only one. Apparently something is not working with at least a batch of the blushes. No thank you. I rather not have my blush look like a petri dish.
Glad you got the Charlotte Tilbury palette. I think her formula is beautiful, I saw Wayne Goss a long time ago talking about how her formula of shimmers isn't always well received in the US because you're more used to the super shimmers by like ABH, which I love as well. I think there's room for both in a collection and i always loved her ethereal topper shades which again didn't translate well across the pond but were something different and they look really special in the looks she curates. That's another plus from Charlotte she really curates colour stories so you don't have to think about your eyeshadow if you're in a rush, just pick a quad or use a group from a bigger palette and you're done.
I also HATED the Tower 28 cream blush from the moment I got it. I agree entirely that it’s not blendable. I don’t think yours is faulty. I went right back to the Rare Beauty and elf jelly blushes!

I've seen the crystals on some tower 28 reviews from Sephora, it is a melting of the pigment ingredients in shipping I beleive. I've had many products from them since their first launch and they are a mainstay of my bag. Their customer service team was great when I got one bumb product. I think they are best applied with your fingers and I love them on a bare/just concealer face especially

I love CC creams/BB creams/skin tints because I don't like a lot of coverage since it makes my skin breakout. I rather use concealer to hide imperfections and skin tints

Damn it Hannah! I was also trying to stay away from the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows! Ughhhhh....maybe one day if I'm bored. I also got the Nars summer bronzers! I got the cream in Casino because I always liked that one over Laguna, but I totally agree it is so awesome! I love putting the powder over the cream. So pretty! So I wonder if you hit hardpan or something on the powder. The first one I bought exploded during shipping, and it was shimmer all over the place. They sent me a new one, but maybe I haven't gotten as far down as you have. I'll keep going with it, see what happens. Have an awesome night!

I'm glad you like the pillow talk palette! Honestly, her eyeshadow formula is fantastic for those of is with older skin. Overpriced? Absolutely! But does it perform and look classically beautiful? Absolutely! Most of her products have worked for me (never liked the eyebrow stuff).

If you’re looking for a way to keep your brows through rain or shine - spray a spooley with hairspray & pat it through your brows. I live in FL where the heat & humidity are off the charts but my brows stay stay all day!

I'm hard of hearing and struggle understanding her videos sometimes too. I know she has talked about it before, a couple of months ago she mentioned working on getting captions on her videos. I don't know if she's still working on that or not but I hope so. It's so strange because most other channels have auto captions except hers.

I guess this shows that makeup works on different skin because for me the tower28 blush worked amazing for me! Then again I also lean towards a dewy look so I use little to no powder as well.

I agree with your thoughts on the CT palette, I don’t have pillow talk I have the recent silver packaging one that came out at Christmas with the more purply colours in too. I LOVE it and the shimmers are formulated so someone with older eyes can wear them all over the eyelid and in the crease and the don’t look ridiculous on wrinkly eye lids.

On the tower28 blush, reach out to customer service! I got their magic lipgloss and mine was discolouring alarmingly yellow in under month. But turns out they dont have any fasteners in their gloss so it was just the shimmer mixing color into the clear gloss. Maybe its something like that and still safe to use? But weird texture and crystallisation just seems really strange. Their blushes are my fave. Also, i use them with my fingers for application and its perfect! Enough immediate pigment but also sooo easy to blend out. Sad it didnt work for you tho :(
I’d love to know your tips for applying cream products. I feel like literally any time I use a cream, my foundation gets splotchy or starts to come up and it does not look cute. 😞
I'm on my second Touch in Sol Glassy Balm. It was in a boxy charm and I like to double prime, so a primer and moisturizer in one is perfect for that.
I haven’t had any issues with my tower 28 blush. I use a brush to apply. It blends beautifully, stays all day, I love it. I plan on getting more shades.
But I guess it goes to show that everyone is different and it’s a good thing we have so many makeup products out there, so everyone can find something that works for them.
Just have to say I finally got my hands on the smokey glow collab with Midas cosmetics and I'm IN LOVE!!! I got the whole PR box so I could feel special. Hands down one of the best collaborations to date! I am going to order a second one for my collection!

for that tower 28 blush, i had the same issue! but, the way to fix it is to use a semi-dense brush to apply it liberally, and then pat it out with a damp beauty sponge. i have no idea what the crystalization thing is, maybe it was a bad batch?

I apply and blend out the tower 28 blush with my fingers and it works amazing
Omg yessss! Finally someone pointing out how amazing that CT palette is 😆 it’s my favourite palette ever since it came out and I still can’t get enough of it ♥️ the colours, pigmentation and blendability make it perfect for quick everyday use.
CT quickly became my absolute favourite eyeshadow formula, shortly followed by Kaleidos.
Since I started having more mature skin and a bit of texture on my eyelids I feel like these formulas don’t emphasise my fine lines as much as others and last longer on my hooded lids ☺️
Also please never stop with the make up content. I love it so much
I will say, I have really oily skin and I even still like that touch n sol primer. It’s great under matte face products, and it’s even just kinda nice to give some hydration. It truly balances out the skin with the right products
The La Mer soft fluid foundation at 24:15 looks fantastic on mature skin. It's one of the best foundations for 40+ women. When you're young you can get away with using a wider variety of products but when your face starts to age in your 40s it will be harder to fing good products that work. 💖And By the way.. Mel Thompson Died on Tuesday. The news of her death even made "Inside Edition"(uploaded her on TH-cam). She was SO Courageous and deserves all the outpouring of Love that she has gotten. 💖💖💖
