In as much as I want to be happy for ths girls I am still pissed. The girl named Folorunsho really tested God in this match. Going by her name she tested God too much comiting errors throughout the match. She needs to really do a soul searching if she wants to be a good defender. All the previous penalty takers did their job, our penalty keeper did her job. Edafe you had everything set up for you your name in GLORY all you had to do was put the ball in the net. You send us to a FINAL. But you took it for granted, because u scored the winning goal vs USA easy you took the penalty without conviction or purpose and YOU BLEW IT. After that props to Funmilayo for scoring hers once I saw Folorunsho the girl with the DADA walk up she was a good example of someone lacking confidence or self belief so no surprise she missed the penalty. The problem is no one knows when our girls we have this opportunity again. Also the coach needs to choose who will take penalty not who wants to take it. I just feel sad. Can't wait for the boys U23,U20,U17 FIFA competition starting next year.

Why do we have the coach substitute a goalie whose been very active all through the game for someone fresh from the bench who makes these penalty kicks so cheap. She barely goes for the ball. She just stands there and the ball goes into the net. The one she stopped was just a one off. Same happened at the last game. No attempts. She just stands there and the ball goes past her. POOR COACHING ultimately led Nigeria's loss in the penalty shoot-out.
Word has is that Coach Olowookere never designated the players who were going to take the penalty shootouts should they go into a sudden death. Hence the reluctance of the players stepping up to the task. The coach should NEVER have put such a burden/pressure on 14, 15 and 16 year-olds! They're only TEENAGERS for heaven's sake! VERY irresponsible on his part.
And the Columbians noticed the Flamingoes' demeanor, and their confidence was easily renewed even though BOTH sides still had an equal chance of winning the shootout.
Also, did you notice how PASSIVE the Nigerian goalkeeper was during the shootouts in sudden death!?! She hardly attempted to save any of the shots!!!!! On the other hand, the Columbian keeper kept diving for the ball until she finally made that spectacular save.
But let's call a spade a spade; the Columbian team was the better team all-round. How Nigeria even survived not getting blown out during the first 90 minutes was a miracle by itself.
At the end of the day, congrats to Columbia for advancing to the Final, and congrats to the Flamingoes for making it to the semi-finals stage. Perhaps in 2024 they'll go all the way.

Well said. The coaching crew lacked everything about technique and football knowledge. He probably didn't have his best 5 on penalties but relied on prayers the Nigerian way of getting things they can do for themselves, as if other teams don't know God and can't pray. I said it the last time that this team lacked character and game plan to play semi final because they don't have any business playing the semis after riding on luck against the US. The Americans would have beaten this Colombian team with ease. Unfortunately, I don't see them Germany in the 3rd place game. The coach was only interested in changing goal keeper for penalty saves, without coaching the girls on the technique of taking penalties, that is always the difference between Africans and the whites. Our coaches lack the knowledge, and always fail when it matters most. Same thing happened at the u20 Female world against the Netherland. No coaching depth just shouting at the touch line without reading games. None of those girls is qualified to even play in Super Falcons team. I don't see any potential in the team.
