Well this game is an example of a simple rule in chess: if you are winning an endgame against Carlsen, its a draw. If you are drawing an endgame against Carlsen, you lose.
I must say this is the chess format I enjoy watching and I'm interested in the most. 1 vs 1 for a few games, like with WCC + freestyle, which excludes all these engine preparations, so it proves who is actually better on the unknown waters. Exciting! I hope to see more of that. And I'm definitely slowly but steadily getting bored of the classical chess format.

I don't think the "advantage" to white can be framed as a discussion between normal chess Vs chess 960. I would assume (I could be wrong) that each different set up would provide a different amount of advantage, some positions possibly even favouring black and others favouring white substantially more. Without having mountains of games to compare from each position, it is close to impossible to have anything close to a definitive answer. This is just speculation but I suspect that the positioning of the bishops is the main key. A lot of 960 games I have noticed that bishops starting in corners can often be easily shut out of the early and mid parts of the game by one well placed and defended pawn, this seems to advantage white more than in notmal games. That is just my perception.
Love your channel & watch daily, appreciate your hard work. But... this faery chess has no place in the chess world in my book. I'll watch it anyway, though. LOL
The only issue i have with this format is if it became truly popular theory would develop and it would be worse on the player because of how many starting positions a player would inevitably need to memorize to be effective st high level. The solution to the problem amplifies the problem it tried to solve.
@michaelmassaro4375 if speedrunners have taught us anything its that people will absolutely spend 30 years mastering something if needed. And thats the issue. It will reach a point of optimization that runs off any newcomers.
I think the point is that even if you learn a single line for each starting position which would be 960 lines which is already crazy your opponent could play the 10s or 100s of lines which are at least equal to play for each one and then you'd need to learn 10000s of lines to have an advantage, you could learn a gambit for each line but the point of Fischer's random is to calculate all the lines you play instead of learning theory so you wouldn't fall for a scholar's mate if you calculate the whole thing
