Floor 50 is water tower room but on 51 is elevator machine room, 3:03 is sound beep from elevator. Now floor 49 has port, If you want go 49 at port, Try show card

these has been upgraded to PORT since 2019 now but wonder if something has changed inside the machine room, or the relay logic was completely replaced or not. Plus wonder if OP (uploader) was able to go to machine room again (as long if it wasnt locked).

Gearless elevator machine system. Maybe I'm wrong but with the relay clicking I wonder it the controllers havent been upgraded to computer logic controllers.

Serious gear-less traction machines and huge HV 3 phase transformer to rectified DC power supply with voltage/current sensing for the DC traction motors. At one time those traction machines had a MG set to power them.
Technically it is a DC SCR drive but imaging them when they used to have mg sets

Irene Garcia Arquero I think the 50th floor is the water tower room. The 51st floor is the motor room for the passenger elevators.
These are now Schindler PORT.
What car did go up to 50th floor
No elevators serve floor 50 or floor 51. 49 is the highest floor served by elevators.
Only 1 elevator serves floors 46 & 47.
No elevator serves Floor 13.
Other elevators serve 52nd 53rd 54th and 55th floors
@@justinekenjirafolsI highly doubt there are any 52nd, 53rd, 54th or 55th floors in the hotel (well, definitely none of those floors exist in the Times Square Marriott).
The highest actual floor of the hotel is the 51st floor as shown in this video, and the 49th floor is the highest floor served by elevators.

Possibly a mechanical floor or a water tower room, like Metropolitan Elevators (formerly MTA Explorer) guesses.

I made new videos of the machine rooms in 2020 but I have yet to edit those. It’ll probably be up in a few months
@@metropolitanelevators Awesome! I also remember seeing a video of this same motor room, but with a full walkthrough of it. I don't know where that video went, so I was curious if anyone had the link for it.
@@racerxavier If I’m thinking of the right person, he went fully private around two years ago and that’s probably why you can’t find that video.
These talking elevators sound like a late 80’s-early 90’s VTech toy.
Which ones are Westy and which ones are Schindler?
The motors on all of the elevators are original Westinghouse motors. Before 2006, when Schindler installed their destination dispatch system on these elevators, the hotel had old 1980s Westinghouse elevators. According to my grandmother, who had stayed at this hotel before the elevators were modernized, the wait times for these elevators were tremendous, and when an elevator finally arrived, the car would sometimes be full.

I almost explored the entire building. Wow! The service elevators serve floor 2 and I recently went there. I will be uploading the video in about 3 weeks from now which will be featuring floors -2, -1, 1, 2, 7, and 46.
BrandonPlayz3645 Floor 1 looks like a normal service area. For some reason, Car S does not serve floor 1. Floor 7 has ballrooms and stuff.

QuarioQuario54321 On the service elevators, floor 2 looks like the service lobby. I wonder if Floor 1 is just a service entrance for employees while Floor 2 is where everything such as security, trash rooms, etc. are located.
Floor -2 is the sub basement and i think it is the boiler room and floor -1 is the basement and that is some sort of service area
