    Can they learn more recipes from the night markets? and make them in the slow cooker? 😕

    So happy for the new kettle with all the new recipes ! Also the slow cooker too. Now if they can only add harvest orange trees and corn to the game my wish list will have come true 🤗

    I love the new appliances & especially that they’ve freed our Sims from standing around waiting. As a filthy American (kidding), I always heat water up for tea or hot chocolate in my coffee mug in the microwave, despite us owning a kettle 🫖. When it’s single serving & as someone who rages at cooking, it just seems faster & easier. If I were serving someone else, I would use the kettle to be polite. I often heard complaints from Brit & Aussie people who travel to US that kettles aren’t standard hotel items provided. I suppose it IS kinda weird because I feel like they are every day kitchen appliances that always seemed common to me in many households. 🤔 And especially for hotels, seeing as you’d think they’d expect people coming in from around the world where that’s a common place item. Like, in James Turner’s Pink Flamingo hotel, in at least one bigger room he had both a squat toilet & a regular seated one for that specific reason.

      Ha well they shouldn't use the kettles in hotel rooms anyways as I've seen gross things of guys boiling their underwear in them!!!

      I don't drink many herbal or green teas so I can't speak for those, but I do know the optimal temperature for black tea is 212 degrees which is boiling point. I wouldn't dare try to get to that temp in the microwave because I would likely burn myself.

      I occasionally heat my coffee in the microwave, but my Spanish in-laws prefer the microwave over the kettle for heating up cup-sized amounts of water.

  • @simsspeler1757
    @simsspeler1757 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    At work we don't have a kettle so I have to use the microwave for my daily cup of tea. But it feels like the emergency solution when no kettle is available. At home I always use a kettle. But if some people prefer the microwave, so what? Does it really matter?
    What does surprise me is drinking hot water, without turning it into tea or something else. I never heard of that.

    I have an electric tea kettle. My parents have 3 - one for daily use, one as backup for the daily use one so they don’t have to go a single day without when it eventually breaks, and one for travel if they’ll be staying in a hotel.
    Though I will occasionally use the microwave to reheat a mug of tea if I didn’t drink it fast enough…

    This is pretty nice. We have the ability to prep dough for pizza and stuff and now we can make rice n stuff. I hope we get a cooking rework that works with these changes. The cooking mods I was using still got scrambled.. Man I love mods but when it's one person managing it, it has got to be hard to do... especially when there's multiple mods connected to an overhaul
