As an alumnus I'm really proud to see the great job everyone did. Everyone seemed so exuberant, and there was so much hilarious individuality in each shot. The Billy Mays guy was the first person in the video to make me laugh out loud, but not the last. I hope you make this an annual competition with the Spanish UVIC. Focus on where you can make it even better instead of knocking your first effort too much.
This is why Shawn Slavin recovered from Flight 190, so he could spread his unbelievable talent in a million different directions. I'm amazed and was that EVER the best 10 minutes I've spent in a long time. Makes me proud to know Shawn and makes me proud to be a UVic mom. (Is there an actual head count of how many people were in it? You were all fantastic.)
This video has by far the best acrobatics of any lip dub. Backflips, unicycles up stairs, tightrope walking, people hanging sideways... Tremendous effort and really show the physical energy of our campus! PS: The bus going by at 0:17 reading "UVic" was a really nice touch (!)

It's a beautiful example of community spirit, pride, dedication and how much fun we had. I'm so honoured I was able to take part. My university experience is richer because of it and I'll cherish the memories forever. :) Spammers, derogatory / sexist / racist commentators and nay-saying critics can go to hell.

Some ppl would say why bother, to much time on their hands but I think its fantastic that all these ppl can get together and create something like this. Well done
this collaborated event is using lipdub as merely the mean to showcase our school and our city. and more importantly, letting everyone participated, experienced, and wittnessed it to realise that the solidarity, unity, and enthusiasm of this community is strong. being there myself from 7:00am in the morning to 5:00pm in the afternoon for the shooting, not to mention all the volunteers and crews worked even harder, the collaborated effort from everyone involved is spirit gold
Best handling of a cast this size that I've seen yet. Everyone got some face time and the camera didn't move so fast that you felt rushed. Very good effort. Nice work!
I do wish that the camera work had been smoother (so many times, peoples' heads were cut off, or the action took place just off camera), that people had actually looked like they knew the words, and that it had all looked a bit more polished. But the sheer number of people and the high energy of this are amazing, and it's so full of witty use of the space. Knowing how little time you all had to pull this together, I have to applaud you! Bravo UVic, wish I could have been there.
yeah I agree. It's great, and fun but I wouldn't brag that it's better than the other one, it's awesome that you guys did it and were able to include anyone who wanted to do. Looks like you had a blast. Congratulations!

i love UVic since i have taken a program there this summer, this video make me remind the happy time i spent there! that's really great. i think im falling in love with UVic deeper now.
