Only 2 people have ever lived longer than 7 years after diagnosed and I’m trying my best to make it three. Unfortunately, it’s not curable. Prayers appreciated if you pray!

This song was released the day after I was born. When I was around 6 years old, my uncle was getting married. I asked him what he was going to play walking down the aisle, and he showed me this song. Michael was his favorite artist, and he thought this song would be special to me since it was made the day after I was born. After that, I had so many, so many memories of this song. For one, listening to it on the couch on my old ipad when I was 7 with my mom as she was dancing with me while cleaning with the broom. Or when I performed a "show" for my family with this song when I was 8. Or singing to it in the car as my parents boosted the volume and we all sang together. I grew up with this song, it was always, always in the back of my head. Hidden. I memorized the lyrics and 6 years later I still remember it. It's not because I listened to it so often (well kinda) but it's because of the memories attached to it. This song was from my childhood. and I am so thankful for that. I know this is a song about romantic love, but I can’t help but interpret it as a song about a parent’s love for their unborn baby. Specifically, a parent who’s had a really rough life and wants to make everything right so their kid will have the best possible life. Idk, maybe it’s the out of nowhere “kid” line, but it feels very parental to me. If anything, it makes me appreciate the song more as an ace/aro person! The best love songs are the ones that can be interpreted as platonic imo!

This song was released the day after I was born. When I was around 6 years old, my uncle was getting married. I asked him what he was going to play walking down the aisle, and he showed me this song. Michael was his favorite artist, and he thought this song would be special to me since it was made the day after I was born. After that, I had so many, so many memories of this song. For one, listening to it on the couch on my old ipad when I was 7 with my mom as she was dancing with me while cleaning with the broom. Or when I performed a "show" for my family with this song when I was 8. Or singing to it in the car as my parents boosted the volume and we all sang together. I grew up with this song, it was always, always in the back of my head. Hidden. I memorized the lyrics and 6 years later I still remember it. It's not because I listened to it so often (well kinda) but it's because of the memories attached to it. This song was from my childhood. and I am so thankful for that. Usually, when I have these memories of songs I cry. But this song is too uplifting to cry to, it can only make me smile and laugh. Thank you for reading. (This song still makes me want to sing it over and over years later!)
