I am not an American but I think together with lowering the price of prescription, the issue of lifestyle should also be addressed. Diabetes and other lifestyle diseases can be reversed by changing people’s way of eating instead of enriching pharmaceuticals.
i know 2 people who are in great shape, excercice etc and they have diabetes. Its not only lifestyle. They are both in their 40's. One is vegan too. So lifestyle is certainly true in many cases but not all.
That I true and absolutely the best thing to do. Pharmaceuticals and public health people are fighting this battle differently. Tacking the food industry which produces foods full of sugar and other harmful things is another battle every concerned person should fight. It takes a long long time to impact people’s behaviours , therefore to help those who have diabetes who are millions and millions in USA lowering insulin price is a welcome step..
Excuse me, you cannot reverse type 1 diabetes, which I have. I make NO INSULIN of my own because my immune system destroyed the cells that produce it. I had no idea I was getting it until I was hit with it. I was very thin and eating the right diet. Please don't make statements like this about diabetes. They will not apply to everyone.
